[Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign christian [Music] [Music] is [Music] [Music] uh [Music] [Music] [Music] me [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] i [Music] i [Music] [Music] is [Music] me [Music] what's this today we're going to talk talking a little bit about faith and the topic of my sermon is proposing like when people ask jesus at one point what shall we do that we may work the works of god or we start doing the works of god this is written in john chapter 6 verses 28 and 29. then they said to him what shall we do that we may work the works of god and jesus answered to us and said to them this is the work of god that you believe in him whom he sent jesus a little bit strange answer he he gave them help something how can we do what can we do to to to to to to do the work of god they probably expect a totally different answer maybe they said they thought oh you bring those those kind of sacrifices you have to do this you have to go to jerusalem and and do like give a lot of money [Music] but he said them very simple thing just the work of god is to believe in him who he sent and what was the reaction of those people what sign will you give us that we can believe so just before that he multiplied the bread and fish and everything they just gave to him because he came to him because he fed them he did this miracle they said oh you need to uh what kind of sign would you would you do excuse me didn't you just see the sign wikibon what else what else kind of sign do you need but you know that it's it's a nature of people to to be saved by by doing something you know it's especially the old testament god give the israelites the law israel and it was a lot of different um religious things that have they had to do the different sacrifice sacrifices you have to do the different celebrations and through that it's written by by remaining in what is written in the law you will live by by it of the god uh talks to to the priests the the prophets they did not seek relationship with god when you call in they just wanted to do things that were whatever they prescribed to do they just do it [Music] and very few people at the old testament had really had relationship with god you know we see the moses he he went he would talk to god face to face and he came and god gave him a lot of the ten commandments and a lot of all the lord for israel for israel israel but didn't god want to talk to everybody to israel when he brought them to the to that mountain and show them the fire for coming from heaven you could even [Music] came down to the mountain and showed us this uh smoke and fire and the israelites were so afraid [Music] god you listen to him and tell us and we'll do it and we're gonna we're gonna do it um [Music] after moses came up to that mountain he talk to god was born what did they do they made us the idol what is only 40 days and they they saw the god's powers it's his glory you when they bachelor islam will you see and they saw that smoke and fire let's see them and they thought told moses themselves that you go talk you tell just because they did not want to have that personal relationship with god you know in the but what happens in the new testament same thing like the jesus introduces faith jesus provided and everybody who believes will have eternal life everyone who believes who just come to me and we believe you will you will have eternal life and you know what just just when apostle paul came to preach in galatia and they received this word by faith and they've had the grace of god with them even in mali to um grace um and they received the word of god by faith by grace when apostle paul went away other people came from judea and he doesn't know everything alive yeah grace is good faith is very good but you have to do the law of moses you have to get circumcised you have to do this and that you have the law of moses nobody said that it's it's not long in the fact and they accepted it so just maybe a few months maybe a year here paul was there and preached about grace and they wanted to start go back to works you know time went by jasper and those people at that time they knew the scripture but you know the time came back to the middle ages normal people didn't know the bible at all but the bible was written in latin bibliography and in greek and only priests could actually read the bible it was very easy to control control the matters that way ever since they say ghosts special what they tell simple people is we have to save the the tomb of the lord our lord was crucified in jerusalem [Music] we have to liberate the tomb of our lord jesus christ because jesus was that was actually the main idea to go for the simple people to go to those crusades but we know the reason was actually that those uh those um little theodols or those little like nobility they are a lot of them at that time and they're poor and it was very much big opportunity for them to gain more lands and that was the main reason for them to go there it's about we know about in in indulgences indulgences they would say indonesia indulgences like uh they call them indulgencia indulgences that you are saved you are it's like your pass to heaven that's very simple thing you pay church the money and you're saved it is percent that's why there was actually martin luther being a priest at the time martin luther king knowing the bible being able to read the bible he wrote his as he started this movement of protestantism and that's why our actually current church you know up until the maybe the middle or even the end of 20th century the catholic and orthodox church discouraged very much simple people to read the bible yeah because they said you you will not understand it you people simple people didn't know the bible and i i i unders i remember our older people told us when the priest comes to the house and finds the bible in the house take it away because it's it's it's against the law against the religious slaughter to actually for you to read the bible you have to do whatever please tell us because my mom and my sister are actually in orthodox church in russian orthodox church and right now the people the priests kind of let them and they tell me like what do you know [Music] foreign but what does the bible say are they sure what it is so even simple will read it it will not fall astray even because the reason for for for for christianity is not a religion christianity is a relationship christianity and all of us we have to have relationship personal relationship with god you know sometimes our churches are not so different either [Music] a lot of people think that all i have to do is come to church show up and people just come to church just just to show up just just to listen and just forget if we do not have a personal relationship with god we just cannot be saved it's impossible god is perfect and he wants us to be perfect but can we be perfect you know the the bible says there's in james chapter 2 verse 14. if [Music] the bible says faith without works is dead and that's true it's a problem yeah of course we we say if we are we are believers and don't do the basic thing see somebody needs help and we don't help but i can say a little bit further the works without face are dead too we can do a lot of good things you know we sometimes we even read the bible if he knows what the bible says it do it even with our own strengths because sometimes if somebody needs help we can help him it's not going to do us any good whatsoever because if you read first corinthians 13 about the about the love so it's very very good thing if i do everything if i even give my own body to be burned for for for jesus's sake even i give all my money to the poor if i do everything if i don't have love it's nothing it doesn't do me any good b that's why i like the pastor pastor said that like he he doesn't know what the brother was saying but what will be saying the pastor said he doesn't know what the brothers will be saying pastor nicolai where is but i wanted to say that to read from the same place just a little bit a little bit uh before nicole john chapter 5 verses 4 and 5. can you find it please remain in me remain in me that's just some reason it's just not chapter four okay maybe i wrote differently chapter four verses four and five no this is not okay doesn't i think i wrote it wrong uh the verse says remain in me and i in you oh that's the fifteen okay i just wrote five it's 15 i forgot one 15th chapter four verses four and five yes remain in me and i will remain in you no branch can bear fruit by itself it must remain in divine neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me yes so we cannot do anything if we're not in him we actually can do deeds can do some work we can do some work uh before god hey god i did this i did that but god will say did i tell you to do this no you didn't listen to me you didn't have you didn't invest your time to have this personal relationship with me but how about how about works would deal with secret you know if we have the personal relationship with god god will tell us what to do like i shared before the the what happened to my wife i know if you remember that was when he she like was driving the car by the lady that needed help and god told her like hey stop what's going on and the lady was crying when she did it because she said i just was praying to god that somebody will come and to walk my [Music] [Music] a lot of gospel crusades preaching together we do a lot of godly things but did god tell us to do this or we just read if it's like they received a word from just reading the bible you know technically we have to do it yeah it's good too yeah and god can use us in this too spoiled in us but a lot better when we received a word from god and then goddess tells to do something spoiled remember when apostle paul wanted like he said that he was he was on one of his crusades he was going a lot of places preaching the gospel and he remember the place where he said oh we wanted to go this place and god said no what it's appreciative machida macedonian came to propos apostle paul in dream and told him to help them that was leading over god um paul could go to the cities that he would thought that it would be good to go there in macedonia slovenia alive bliss was born he knew the voice of god it means now hold us and he could listen to it even your holies you know uh if we read ii peter verse chapter 1 verses 5 to 8. first peter uh ii peter chapter 1 verses 5 to 8. can you open it up please for this very reason made make every effort to add to your faith goodness and to goodness knowledge and and to knowledge self-control and to self-control perseverance and to perseverance godliness and to godliness brotherly kindness and to brotherly kindness love this is a steps what we have to do is it says goodness in my translations is a little bit different but in this uh like ukrainian more more says like a sincerity um uh like but the second thing in this in this um sincerity knowledge just this thing knowledge it's not in english it doesn't give it justice i've looked through different for different translation for this passage yes i love ukrainian translation how it says it says it's not just because this diff in ukrainian language is different between is not it said what is this knowledge it's just you know something about somebody or about something or for knowledge or get to know something [Music] it's you you know some somebody someone personally you get to know him and that after you get to know him you can follow the other steps if you can don't have that in intimate knowledge of god have a goodness or even brotherly love the apostle peter says if you have all that you will not be fruitless and if you have this you will not remain fruitless so only our fruits depend if we know god intimately when it is but you will say like a lot of there is debates between grace and works [Music] and does it mean that oh we remain in him that's it we don't need anything else we just automatically saved no because we can remain in him for some period of time and then decide we don't want it anymore we just step out that's how we lose our salvation [Music] but without him we cannot do anything and that we come back to whatever from what we started this is this is a word of god to believe in him believe in him whom he sent me so [Music] may go help us in this are we going to pray is yes foreign foreign foreign i mean is [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] is [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] you have tremendous blessing to be in the feet of jesus christ and listen to his word and as we heard the word of god he brings us blessing and faith into our hearts i would like to say a few words youth be translating so that way you can understand if you can please pay close attention okay i would like for us to continue the sermon that we started on sunday is to speak about the suffering of jesus christ christians you know to remove christ and suffering of jesus from christianity was not a christian the christianity would not exist apostle paul said for us who believe in christ it is the power [Music] and those that don't believe it's a um and i would like for us to continue to talk about the suffering of jesus christ the last six hours that he spent on the cross it i would like we already talked about it but i would like to refresh your memory the first in luke 20 chapter 23 verse 34 he says forgive him because they do not know what they are doing jesus while in suffering in agony and luke chapter 23 verse 43 verse 43 it says um jesus answered him i tell you the truth today you will be with me in paradise you know jesus you're having this conversation with this um but sinner [Music] foreign and in john chapter 19 verse 26 he says john this is your mother and he turns to mother he says mother this is your son actually woman woman he said woman yes and we actually focus on that last time he addressed her not as a mother but as a woman because in in in god there is there's that relationship that uh um sibling relationship does not exist and he entrusted his mother this woman into the hands of his favorite disciple john the bible says to the one that he loved are talking about john says we can see the heart of god when he took care of his earthly mother says and there is a sign it is example for all of us is to care to take care of our earthly parents i would like to remind our dear children that it's a commandment of god is to obey their parents unfortunately some people only realize that when the parents die when they bring gifts or maybe put a good stone tomb for their parents but the best gift that any child can give to their parents on the day of the birthday is their obedience but the biggest blessing when they are saved in the lord it's important for god the relationship for 27 45 he says my god my god why have you forsaken me [Music] christ was left by his father in order for you and me to be accepted by him jesus being without sin accepted everyone's sin that's why his father had to turn away from him and it did the most difficult part that he experienced while on the cross that he was separated from his uh father that he loved those were not just words he truly experienced he truly felt like his father left it is probably the most fearsome the most troublesome thing that can happen the you know when adam and eve they had this fellowship with christ with god but because of their sin they were thrown out of a garden of eden christians and the lesson is for us that your father uh christ was left by his father so that way you and me would be accepted by him i would like to remind us in the next moment it is the the fifth word or the phrase that he said well on the cross jesus said i'm thirsty it is difficult what he experienced being in the flesh is this thirst we could hear his voice while he was making this voice on the cross but here he speaks and uh being a human being foreign some people reject his death reject his suffering as someone of a human that he was somehow god human that experienced all of this therefore he did not feel the actual death he did not feel the actual pain and so forth aleph he physically took our transgression upon himself he was he was going through the the suffering the physical suffering and he was actually thirsty the test you know those people who were crucified their the suffering uh was not so much in shedding their blood uh or other different injuries but most importantly in the fact that they could not breathe it was very difficult for them to share [Music] and for those who were still alive they would break their knees so that they would cave in and the breathing would stop alec and when the the the soldier he saw jesus who died already he pierced his rib with the with the uh spear with the spear where the water and blood came out which confirmed his death in order for you and me to to thirst the living water he experienced this on his flesh the well of of living waters and those who come to me will no longer uh want to drink is jesus was thirsty and he was given vinegar it is something hard to comprehend what jesus went through elementary school because when this rich man when he was in hell burning there he reached out to to to god and he says please send lazarus that he would just water my lips and therefore hell is thirst jesus he went into hell so there were you and me we would have eternal god's will is from um my foot my goal is to fulfill god's will you know when they came to jesus have some food for you he says i'm not hungry and they couldn't understand who brought in food is to do the will of my father he wants us to that's how jesus satisfied his thirst when he sees you and me remain in his word and we can see this picture today that he says that i'm thirsty god says [Music] when he received the drink jesus said it is finished with that he bowed his head and gave up his spirit yours and my salvation and i like how it says in english it is finished there's nothing else after that it is done it's complete yes i did everything i did everything what my father wanted i completed his will i did it to the end it is a very important lesson for you and me how many times do we start certain things in our lives but we never complete them tonight but what jesus is saying here away from my birth through my life until the end i have completed i have finished the will of my father he knew the will of his father when our life comes to an end can we say the same words it says i have completed i have finished the will of god that means every step of my life it was in the will of god satisfaction everything that is in god's will was for my wife for my life for my 60 or so many years in this earth i have completed every single we need to remain in him and we need to bring when a person can say it is finished i did everything by the will of god how important it is not just to live al-esheti is but also to live with purpose to i'm sure when this person on the last breath they're gonna say lord i have completed everything i'm ready to see you yeah i am ready to come to you i remember my uncle was dying he still has other siblings that are alive but he was one of the younger ones and his wife was sharing the testimony before he died and he said to his wife i know that i have completed i did all the work that god wanted me to do and i know now that he is waiting for me it doesn't matter that he was a pastor of the bastard baptist church for many years but god had revealed to me when he would come for me even he realized he felt that everything god had for him for his children for him personally in the ministry have completed everything or maybe pass on the torch of the ministry to somebody else after them and he sees success and blessing after it's not the table a chance to blow slovenia it is a tremendous blessing to know [Music] jesus called out with the loved voice father into your hands i commit my spirit when he had said this he breathed his last attack this is how earthly suffering of jesus christ has ended the question is for you and me what will be the last seconds the moments of yours jesus says father i'm giving you my spirit in my video he had a relationship with with him where he could say my father he knew how he lived his life and he had this hope in this eternal life he did not just go somewhere not knowing where he was saying i'm giving my spirit into your hands he was saying my last second of my breath here on earth it is in your hands father this night when stephen was praying when he was being stoned to death he said the following words he says receive my spirit lord yahushua you know it's not a secret every one single one of us who was born that time will come and we will die experience him in our life and in the last moment would be would give our spirit into his hands 16 verse 22 luke 16 22. the time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to abraham's side the rich man also died and was i'm sorry carried him to abraham's side it is a a wonderful moment of someone's hand for osama says he was died and just nothing and disappeared he was not just a poor man but he was a person that knew christ and it says the angels carried him to abraham's side you know when i listen and hear about the suffering of jesus christ death of jesus christ an example to all of us believers we would live with christ and die with him who maybe don't have this confidence in christ would say lord please forgive me i would like to have life with you lord may god bless each and [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music]
