Believer and knowing Christa also understanding that besides the physical world there is also a spiritual world you know I realized that things that are so important especially in the spiritual world the things that are so special and important for us all for our well-being spiritual well-being that I see the devil does everything in his power to make sure is to remove those things that are important in our life then maybe take a focus and take our intention on something else and the reason why he does that because he knows it very very well because those are things are extremely important you know and what I'm going to be talking about today one of those things it is the word of God it is is it important the question is it important for a spiritual life yeah it is one of the most important things in our spiritual life one of the most important things and you know when we read the parable of the sower when he was throwing those seeds in on the fields I already share this with you on one of the Wednesday services and there is a different name is you know before when I was reading this this passage I was thinking okay you know are you the fall in this category or thinking maybe this is for somebody else this is for those people tomorrow but then I realized that throughout my walk with Christ me as a Believer I can find myself in any of those categories in a very honest with you I went through each one of those stages in my personal life is because I allow the the things of life to get over me yeah or maybe there was a time when I wasn't walking closer with the lord and there is sin then came into my heart and I had no desire for the word of God yeah but either way you look at this and the goal of the devil to make sure that we fall into either one of those you know the word of God it is it is not something that has been written and it just remains and been carried to us today is this is called a Living Word of God the reason why it's called the Living Word of God because it's not just that they cannot enters my mind or enters a heart and just kind of stays there says the reason why it's called the Living Word of God is because when he enters into yours in my life it produces something it does something in our hearts the word of God says that God speaks for me his word he says my word does not come empty-handed back to me yes every time you hear the word of God every time God is speaking to us he needs to produce something he needs to change something in our life because and this is what devil does not want he doesn't want to have those fruits he doesn't want to have the Living Word to do its magic in our life [Music] and I would like for the the the topic of my sermon today is the value of the word of God and for the base of my sermon today for a number one passage I'm going to read from the book of Psalms chapter 19 verse 7 through 11. um depending on translation verse 7 through 11. foreign thank you okay we we read from verse 7 that says the law of the Lord is perfect refreshing the soul the statues of the Lord are trustworthy making wise the simple we're gonna stay on this verse in my translation it says the law of the Lord is perfect and converting the soul in this translation it says refreshing the soul movies you know for yours and my salvation the two things that I needed is the word of God and the Holy Spirit to bring us to Christ and it was the word of God that brought us the good news of Jesus into our life it was the word of God that was telling you and me you are a sinner is and it doesn't leave you there it says but you need salvation and you have Jesus Christ that gives you that final salvation free I would like for us to open up First Peter chapter 1 verse 23 First Peter chapter 1 verse 23. and says for you he'd been born again not of perishable seed but of imperishable through the living and enduring word of God is [Music] this is the beginning of you and me of our work with Christ is through the word of God is because that seed was placed into yours in my life remember I was saying there is a Living Word of God why because it is given birth to you and me in Christ Jesus Christi it is a point number one what we get the value from the word of God it is a converting and refreshing our soul the second Point into that verse 7 from Psalm 19 we read and it says the testimony of the Lord is sure making wise the simple it is another thing what it does into our life the value that is brings it is a change in our mind is you know in Romans 12 2 we read that the word of God is that we are being transformed by the renewing or our minds and that's how we do when we read the word of God our mind starts to change before we were thinking one way but when we are filled with the word of God we start thinking completely different because you know but I really like this word that it says in English translation the renewing of your mind it means tells us something that is taking place continually in our lives you know I was leaving the parking lot the other day yeah and there was some youth standing there and it says brother Nicola please stop I roll down my windows yes and they say listen we give you one week to change tires in your car but I'll use this card I work from home and I was like okay I'll do that says that's dangerous those are bad tires you need to get new tires and we give you one week to do that okay they're bad tires you need new ones you need to renew your tires that's what we need to do in a spiritual life we need to renew her mind the word of God says as they need to protect it is your mind because this is where the all the words of spiritual warfare that's taking place it first takes place in our mind so you do something it takes place in your mind let's open up verse 8 of Psalm 8 19 verse 8. it says the statues of the Lord are right rejoicing the heart um you know keep in mind that everything there is in those five verses it does talk about the word of God even though he uses different words it talks about the fear of the Lord it talks about other things but it always has that meaning it talks about the word of God number three it rejoices it brings joy into our lives you know I know young people know this uh famous singer Darlene Shack from Australia says Australia in 1996 she was going through a very difficult time in her life she's going through a depression is and she went to her children room and said there was a little tiny piano two times and she opened up the word of God the book of songs and she started to read and she the song started to begin to give Gilbert give birth to a song and the song that we all know we sing in a church it's called Shout to the Lord in the words that are so powerful and then so this is called Nothing compares to the promises I have in you is through the word of God brothers and sisters that we are encouraged and we have joy in our lives foreign [Music] will not bring no fruit um and I will still rejoice and worship you so we know that brother damidow which he is the one who wrote this song and when he wrote this song what happened is that they were working with the what brings joy into our lives and look what it says in a second part of that verse eight it says the Commandment of the Lord is pure and enlightening the eyes it's not just working on our mind it's not just bringing Joy but it's also working on our eyes we know in the Book of James chapter 1 verse 23 and 24. it's a Ivana we're not going to read it but we know this passage very well James says the person who hears the word of God but does not follow it it's like the person who looks at the mirror and takes no action after that if they have maybe see their face dirty says so he's comparing the word of God when we remain in him it's like a mirror in our life what the word of God does is that every time time return to the word of God it's like a mirror it's always true it would always show what is reality but not what may be the perception might be protest that's what the word of God does because we've been living a life we may be thinking of one way we've seen things in our own way in or maybe how others told us or taught us but as soon as we turn into the word of God and like I mentioned before double does everything possible in life to for us to keep us away from this book tomorrow and look what it says in verse 9 psalm 19. and it says the the fear of the Lord is clean enduring forever let's open up Psalms chapter Psalms 119 verse 9. David that's the longest Psalm in verse nine look what it says there 119. how can a young man keep his way pure by living according to your word yeah the word of God it is it is clean every when we remain in the word of God look what it does to our life and when a young man or any of us we ask yourself a question how do I live a holy and clean life before the Lord notice it's a question and now you have the answer to that is how can a young man keep his ways pure by living according to your word yeah when we remain in the word of God impurifies us it makes us clean it makes us Holy Mary It also says that his word is enduring we know this passes very well from Matthew 24 35 you're not going to read you all know this it says Heaven and Earth will pass away but my words will never pass away word of God is you know in the world that we live in everything's so uh so moving so changing there's so many a lot of things going on um and you know for you and me a lot of people they're looking for this stability is because it does not change it was true 2000 years ago or even before that is four or five thousand years ago the days of Moses and all those men of God their word was the same and it's a remain true in our life is look what it says in uh second half of that verse the Judgment of the Lord are true and the righteous all together the word of God is true you know some of you might have heard this man by the name of least trouble um Lee Strobel he was in trouble he was a journalist but he was not just a journalist he was investigative journalists he was working for a newspaper Chicago Tribune in Chicago I mean tribute so he wanted to question that there is no God that this Bible is not true that he wanted just to to prove it to you that those the Christians they are wrong Christianity so what he decided to do he decided to read the word of God he decided to investigate but his one purpose was but to to show other people the Believers of Christ that they are wrong that the word of God is full of the untrue stories and all kinds of different things absurd do you know what happened to him do you know what happened to him is he became a Believer I mean the more he was going into the word of God the more he started to investigate it he realized it's all true and he wrote a book it's called case for Christ they even made a movie on that is why because the word of God is true and in verse 10 if you read that says it's very interesting verse it says more to be desired are they than gold year than much fine gold sweet also then honey and a honeycomb duration it says that the word of God should be is more precious and it should be desired more than gold or honey foreign [Music] we put a lot of effort into our life because we want to be good Fathers we want to be good servants of a family of our finances and things like that is but this passage says that the word of God is more preciousness what is it saying to you and me that in our life before we do anything our daily life the word of God should be more precious and they should have different priority in our life is but what's interesting but what about honey what is that Allah you know what's interesting when we eat sweet something sweet because our body starts to produce dopamine also known as happy hormone um [Music] hormones just let me ask you what's interesting I also noticed and it's and it's based on Research why people are so addicted to their phones the social media and things like that you know why uh because when they get and get notification or text message all of this stuff it produces the same type of dopamine in their minds what is the word of God is saying here whatever those sweet things in your life maybe there is that social media um but the word of God says that my word is more precious than all of that is so that that's something that allows us to remind ourselves to make sure that the word of God is taking place the right place in our life and in verse 11 and I will conclude my sermon today and the first half it says moreover by them your servant is warned yet the word of God is warning us you know sometimes people they take warning kind of like ah you know we'll see when it happens I don't need this right now but when I I got this new Bible because it has English in Ukrainian yeah and I started to to highlight again those passages in my word in the word of God so I got those six markers and I was trying to decide okay what I'm gonna highlight with this color what I'm gonna highlight with that color so what I decided that the words of warning and the words of love is they both going to be highlighting in red said you know when you have a warning it's a warning it's flashing it's a red light is also read the heart and and all of that you know what's interesting that God can like spoke to me through that example you know sometimes we don't like those warnings in our life but let me ask you a question when I'm gonna give warning to my boys don't go over there don't climb the roof foreign is it bad or good I know I think it's good and why I'm doing that because I love them do you see what the word of God says it is warning us because God loves us and the last phrase here it says great is reward foreign you know for you and me because we have the word of God um we have Jesus in our life we know him as personal savior we are happiest people on Earth but not only that we are rewarded living here on Earth with God's blessing and Care um the Bible says that he went to prepare a place for who prepare a place for who told me for those that love him that's our reward this is why in our life all those things of life and devil knows it very well how to take this away and I'm gonna like to play just a first collection for the church for the needs of kids in Ukraine is those are orphans but they're not just orphans they are disabled and they are collecting funds to build a building for them for their so they can grow there and be taught and we look after watching Sunday school they did a car wash and we they decided to use some of those funds that they collected to contribute for this need in Ukraine so kids already took part their part in this and you're invited to also be part of that um on Wednesday we hope that the hurricane will pass by we'll continue to pray we are scheduled to have a guest from India on Wednesday and also please bring funds for collection to support their Ministry there yes as of right now we're not canceling the service but if the danger comes our way that turns into our Direction just keep we'll keep it posted through a group message just through different media to communicate this to you yeah for some reason did not get the message or you're still not encourages us to bless them as well let us all I would like to ask us all to stand to our feet stretch forth your hands towards into the direction of the children and let us pray for their blessing understand how they could possibly go through this and you know my heart was just hurting for them and we know that God is near nearby [Music] everything that is needed we can entrust him with it it's my desire to tell everyone in this world um after these hardships we went through God put on my heart to write a song about the fact that he is nearer and he is waiting for each one when you come to to share a word and lead us into prayer yes another name for the sermon is the spiritual storm in the life of a Christian is and I would like to read from places in scripture where uh people experience these storms of the Apostles chapter Paul understood that their travels were going to be hard on the water but he entrusted the captain the captains um and so the the waves and the and the storm was getting uh Stronger times and uh it says that it was moving our ship back and forth and it we were given into the waves so that was uh for the apostles but for the disciples told me speaking of storm um how do people prepare for the storm did you guys get your uh patio furniture inside did you buy one did you check your generator for gas you know and this season the first things we get ready yeah and it's good it's good because I was looking around my home City maybe what branches will fall uh what leaves um maybe uh the trees will shake and The Roots actually get stronger so whatever isn't broken will be made so everything that is not hanging properly on the home will fall off so you check storm is in a storm different kinds of uh trials and uh um tests come through through storms and hard times uh the testing of relationships and Friends happens and oftentimes many will say that storms I mean it would be better without it but only in certain situations like in the storm people actually uh kind of mature wake up they wake up wake up Memorial so I'm saying maybe on Wednesday when it's supposed to come let it go to another place and we're praying looking at the news and uh for my prayers that just goes back into the ocean and where it came from let us stay there but still the word of God talks about storms and I would like us to take something away 6 45 yeah I would like to read from 42 just to talk right before the storm came so it was says men but it could there was also women and children so about fifteen thousand which is and so this this uh this him feeding these people ends and then the storm coming and I read in the Russian texts uh ipascial Village um the three places in scripture in the gospels there's also places where they say about Jesus walking on water and and uh uh you know it's the word God says that people see a fight but Jesus is a way out yeah and I don't know what the name of your story Health financing finances family maybe disobedient children maybe not good relations maybe other storms regardless of the name of your storm today they come into our lives but for them it seems like but the word of God says that he led them together do you think they had a news channel to know whether the weather and uh if you try to go into the ocean is so the Jesus is leading the optimize the story and then out of nowhere there's a storm and then most people will say oh how good it is in a problem um and some unbelievers will say well he's such a good God he hasn't even took you out of the problem is we amongst each other we say yeah the Lord helped us but if you talk to people outside they don't know that you can interrupt this is but these questions come Lord do you not see the storm in my life in other words in our life sometimes the storm does it in a certain way and it says that the storm is for just 10 15 kilometers and then after that it's great above the storm and a lot of people are flying planes they say we need to go above and guys but if there's a storm it's between God when a big storm comes eye of the storm how often is called the eye of the storm is there were times that huge storms went through um even the Key West the wind is uh breaking things if you were to go outside and you saw this you would be in shocked and then out of nowhere to clean up foreign there was more foreign how were yesterday's blessings in which you were apart are they enough for you to take you through this next storm and this is what the Lord he is telling us that he is with us and the question is if we're talking about these storms why won't they stop stop um the storms that come into our life are they actually is actually gone and so God is or is it out of the doings of man and out of uh falling away from God there's an example in job where God allowed a certain trials and I uh interesting the scripture that every uh trial and life of man it is always there for and that's how it was with the disciples no um and the word of God shows us that oftentimes things that we think is a big problem but God makes sure that he is able to make good you know just because people do not go to this is will you have a place for me when you come and enter into the storm it's nice and so we have to look at these moments in our life and ask God where are you in these times and when they were going into the ocean yeah be careful of the yeast of the Pharisees and they were thinking oh it's because we didn't bring broadcast how do you prepare for the storm first you prepare for the world to read the word of God and good that I did it Priority because when this problem comes into my life and often to be honest you know sometimes I didn't even have prayer as the first thought in my mind let this be as an image for us of the spiritual storms the word of God does not say and when you have a storm let it be that you have everything yesterday and then if the storm comes it will test but what does the word of God say yes but when it's all about the time because it's about the time it's just time that separates us from the next storm in our life are we giving it into God's control yes maybe some of it God allows maybe some man chooses but God is always he is hurrying in order in another place it is foreign and I knew that you would do what you would do with the if you knew so therefore I hid the talent I watch your chest since and I'm so I'm so careful with what you have given me and so this is and understanding that here I have something that is mine so don't look in other words here is yours but I have my own uh how how many times do people not see God in hard times they're going through these hard times they wanted to accept because video and as soon as God sees this desires he said everything is counted for you you're on the shore okay you know whether it was God's taking part taking apart you know me I don't know how you got there maybe I wasn't no yeah but I am here now in order to take part in it and this is the type of God this is the picture that is this is the word for summer that the lord of the storm there is hold on to it tightly that the Lord is with you let all the doubts go away that tell you and and that you know that God is some of you may go into the storm and some storms may come to you and the name of the storm but when it comes foreign to my family Lord God you are on my side and my prayer today is maybe you have some problems problems with health maybe there are storms that you don't even want to give a name to and let people know but they're storing yeah but God in the midst of this storm he is here to to say that he is a good god this is the words whatever the Lord is speaking to you speak to him in prayer is foreign [Music] that God would show his protection for for our homes or state and God of course is watching us what is our reaction you know when Moses raised his hand God was acting he was working did it depend on the prayer his hands were going down we see this defeat that took place I must remind us that prayer has a tremendous power in our life because Prayer Changes Things what kind of prayer foreign the prayer of the righteous person is powerful and effective because [Music] when we make all the effort for cry out to him Lord I need your help [Music] sometimes in general and then you kind of so specifically specific and sincere because you truly need it you understand what I'm sharing with you yeah you know this prayers get diminished in our life and if it gets I'm sorry distinguished in our life all is remaining after that is just religion there is nobody is no life in it and when we pray for one another we say we love each other God wants to answer our prayers foreign for one another I
