though it may have been hard for you it may have been a difficult task before you lord jesus but you did it for our sake god lord jesus you have died for our sins your blood and your body was beaten and your blood was poured out for us jesus church let us just glorify him let us just [Music] [Music] we receive your son and the work on the cross in this place lord jesus the gospel is the good news and we receive this good news to our lives into the lives of our families lord jesus let your blood cleanse us lord jesus let the work of the cross be made known in this place jesus we thank you lord we thank you for your precious blood your spirit lord that you have given us i pray that in this place today lord jesus your will be done let your spirit move let darkness be the darkness be destroyed in jesus mighty name let all walls be cast down lord jesus let us not come here in vain let us come here and be transformed let us be empowered let us be let us be made new lord jesus sanctified into your glory let us be made righteous by your blood lord jesus let us just take this step and receive what you have in store for us lord jesus we love you we adore you and we receive your love for us we above everything what's happening in the world jesus you are king lord and your kingdom reigns forever jesus your kingdom is eternal lord holy spirit thank you that you're with us this morning we are god you're controlling this service god we just give it all to you lord jesus we want you here this morning holy spirit we desire you here this morning would you come and just pour your spirit out going to speak in english you're going to speak in russian yeah it's an honor to be in this beautiful church ever since i walked into these doors i just i just felt at home i just i just felt you know meeting each person here i just i just felt like family as i said yeah so it's it's an honor we we bring greetings from jacksonville florida florida and personally i'm from portland oregon so greetings from portland oregon [Music] my name is david david i'm uh i was born and raised in oregon yeah but my parents are both from uh um the the title of my sermon today is the higher calling it says in him you also when you heard the word of truth and the gospel of your salvation and believed in him were sealed with the promise of the promised holy spirit who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we until we acquire possession of it to the praise of his glory amen to that i mean let's take a let's take a deeper look at what this verse is trying to say right away we see if we take simple steps um we're we're sealed by by the holy spirit to be destined for salvation and because we know this uh goodness of the glory of god we call we're called to share that goodness with the world and we're sharing this with sharing this um good news we're called to change uh not just our families but fam broken families you know broken cities and just all the brokenness around us to establish and personally in my life i'm very passionate i'm very passionate to see the broken be restored because can i get real with you church for a second in my life in my life i saw a lot of hurt um and brokenness i didn't uh belonging the right crowds and now i know that was the holy spirit disappearing from all my bad friends all the bad habits i used to do and you know devil obviously does not like that and i started getting attacked and um and the same friends that were my friends that i kept being friends with they just started started drinking doing drugs and um some of my closest friends just committed and started committing suicides and you might be wondering why is this a random guy that just showed up to church for the first time talking about this because i'm very passionate about but i started falling into the world really but i was so depressed to the point where on multiple occasions i try to commit suicide and that's why i'm standing here before you church today and sharing this sharing this personal part of my life you know because i'm just i'm sick and tired of seeing the devil lie to the young generation not even just the young generation but to even older people and and you know when we when we walk when we start walking with the lord the you know the devil's the devil's always going to attack you always diablos but he did promise that he'll send his holy spirit as the comforter and that's such a good news to me come on with the holy spirit we're called to you might be sitting in the pew today and you might be thinking no that's not me but i can promise you one thing and i want to share one one more um story with with the with uh one of my suicide attempts i remember one day i was walking back from school and i got into a fight with this uh one uh major drug dealer in our school you wanna fight you know i won and um but on the way back to back to um home after school this this van pulled up next to me and ten guys came out of that van and you know i'm a fighter so you know i i had to fight them and yeah says name it and um obviously it's one versus ten and well i and um they came with me with with knives and just glass shards [Music] and um they they stabbed me over 200 times and i remember just waking up and it's just being dark outside yep and i remember just standing up from this grass and there's just being blood all over yeah and i'm sorry for getting graphic but i feel like it's necessary and i remember crawling on all fours back home and i remember just starting to bandage myself up i threw my clothes into the trash book paper towels so nobody would see yeah [Music] but this thought came to my mind i don't want to since i don't want to do this i can do what my friends did and just commit suicide i remember going down and just while i'm walking downstairs just just tears rolling down my face because i know what's about to happen is and i take this kitchen knife and i go to drive it into my stomach but the moment the tip of that knife touched my stomach it broke in half and in that moment i cried out to jesus jesus if you're real help me and you know i'm here today so yesterday so that's a testimony in itself but through that i just started taking this walk with the lord and i kept on getting attacked and attacked yeah and and you know i realized i have i've been through such a dark past and you know that calling isn't to be some evangelist or some preacher or some prophet that's not the highest calling that's not sin the highest calling is to be a son and daughter of it says it says in second corinthians 6 18. and i will be a father to you and you shall be sons and daughters to me says the lord almighty and like i said hard times will come but the bible like i said the bible never said we're not going to feel oppressed because why would you want to stop in hell just keep going that's what i want to encourage you today keep going and while i was preparing the sermon i was praying to god oh my god what are you trying to say and i felt it on my heart that there's there's people in this that you that you're going through a very tough job um job um crisis that you're meant to cross to that person that that you might be going through a crisis right now this specific the reason the reason the devil is spending his time on you because when he looks at you he sees that the highest calling you have on your life you know and he might throw things that you might a lot of times we get attacked through our thoughts but but if the word of god is true it says in second timothy 3 16. all scripture is breathed out by the by god and are profitable for teaching for reproof for correction and for training in righteousness church i feel like i feel like nowadays we we start listening to the lies of the anime [Music] you can't you can't um you can't go pray for that person but church we gotta we gotta stop listening to the devil and we gotta start commanding snakes and scorpions we we have the authority to say devil i command you to leave my families in the name of jesus can i get an amen to that i mean something i i have on my heart just you know just um yesterday we were driving um four hours and then um we were we were chilling we were relaxing um on the clearwater beach beach and on the way back we were driving for an hour me and my mission team we were just interceding poverty and we are praying for this service we're praying for you guys and we would we were just we were just declaring things over your church and what i thought the lord was putting on my heart yeah that florida is going to be a headquarters of revival but i also felt on my heart the tempo and i just and i just thought i felt it on my heart yesterday we were driving we were driving on the beach of of uh that those bars are going to be turned into churches but that is only that i was only um possible when we partner with the holy spirit but you don't need to be called because we're already called sons and daughters and the fact that we have this calling that means we're responsible to just intercede for our city to go on in the streets and preach the pulpit is not the only place where you can preach you can preach to your family you can preach to your neighborhood you can preach to your city and god doesn't call the qualified ebook but he calls the ones that are available so my question to you today are you available i just i just want to pray and i'm not going to call you up to the altar i'm not going to ask you to raise your hand but i want you to posture your heart to posture i want you to posture your heart just start declaring over your life that there's going to be a revival that's going to spring out of your heart let's pray just like in isaiah you your rope filled the temple jesus god and as this church is your temple jesus christ we ask that your robe fill this church for those job crisis is to be solved i declare for loved ones to have that have loved ones in the hospital healing in the name of jesus by the power of the blood there's and we thank you jesus god for what you're going to do and what you're going to do in this church in your name we pray amen foreign so before as a reminder mondays at 7 30 we have church prayer circles also wednesday services at 7 30 p.m abu a few announcements the things that are going on in our church first i want to say thank you for the people that organized quality time yesterday the children everybody who came had a great time we thank you for all the organizers for that also we are continuing to do fundraisers for ukraine also on may 7th we're going to have a bake sale to also orlando conference so a prayer in orlando let's get our hearts ready [Music] [Music] [Music] thank you children that we'll be going to sunday school kids you may come forward [Music] everyone that is here today guests you are all welcome we welcome you to sunday school we would like to pray for you children it's not that you move us do you guys know why we send you to sunday school yeah who knows now for we can learn about jesus so we can learn about jesus that is true it's to learn about jesus [Music] and when he grows up he will not depart from from it and this is the reason why we teach you today that you would grow up in the word of god and now we'll be praying uh if we could all stand tall [Music] m [Music] hallelujah [Music] [Music] i mean praise god dear church it's so good to finally be back home it's only for a little bit we're leaving tonight later on in the evening but you know we only have a month left of this bible school this is actually my missions team commander this is a team of seven of us seven students that will be going to tanzania africa of africa as soon as we finish school may 29th in june we're all going for a whole month on a mission trip and so i would just we have a little program for you guys we'll have a few testimonies and then we'll share a little bit more about our missions so i would like to invite up our mission leader it's really awesome to be here very beautiful church [Music] and natalie as well it was really really awesome for you guys to take the other half of our team and to host us about how jesus moved my heart for evangelism so about four or five years ago when i was um when i gave my life to jesus and when i was baptized in the holy spirit and when i was baptized in the holy spirit i felt like a boldness came on me to share this good news with others to share the love of jesus to my close friends um specifically one of my one of my asian friends named james the idea is james uh he was an atheist at the time he kind of was like raised up in a catholic family as well and i be i began to talk to him about christ talk to him about the death burial and resurrection of jesus christ and he became very curious he would ask questions and little by little um god god used me to to soften his heart to jesus and he ended up giving his life to jesus and his life was completely transformed he stopped cussing he stopped hanging out with others he began coming to our youth services and he was actually even baptized in the holy spirit speaking in tongues and it was so awesome because we're so used to only seeing ukrainian people speak in tongues and it was awesome seeing an asian brother speak in tongues and in my whole life whether it was sports or hanging out with friends nothing was more fulfilling than than seeing somebody come from death to life in christ and this fulfillment this was kind of something that led me to this missionary school uh smbs and i want god to use me and my team to continue to spread the gospel and to see people give their lives to jesus um at first i i didn't want anything to do with africa i was pretty set on going to either turkey or some kind of mexican country but in fasting and prayer i continue here hearing this whisper from the holy spirit to go to tanzania and so we all decided to go there and like i said we're very excited to go we're going to preach the gospel to those who are lost some construction for those who don't have homes or water 7 17 and 21 years old but we believe that when we are weak god's grace is sufficient and we believe that the holy spirit is going to fill in the gaps he's going to fail in our way and just an encouragement for for you guys especially for you mothers because mother's day is coming up um maybe sometimes you guys feel like you're not doing enough for god but some of jesus's final words was to go and preach the gospel and to make disciples of and if you feel like you're too busy and you're not doing enough but you have children at home and doing making disciples out of them is one of the greatest things you could be doing little sisters at home too and i i don't believe that sunday school it's great but it's it's not enough it's only one time a week the devil he's he's been around for all ages so he's wise he goes he goes after the children specifically because he knows they're their next generation so i just encourage you guys to continue to discipling them teaching raise them up in the word of god and to the busy fathers who are backed up at work [Music] um like my friend said ministry is only behind the pulpit but your workplace it could be a place of ministry and um i feel like some of us we have this excuse that we can preach the gospel just like simply by the way we live like yeah of it is by the way we live but i believe that the the gospel has to be proclaimed with words so i encourage you again with the final words of jesus to preach the gospel to make disciples and in this we know that we're in the will of god thank you guys so much for having us um my friend my i'm just gonna share the goodness of god over my life yes i was born into a family where my mom was a christian my dad was a muslim christian but it's the goodness of the lord that leads people to repentance amen and so my dad got sick and god healed him and now he's saved in my family's christians praise god praise the lord and i was i had this amazing opportunity to be born pretty much into a christian home with christian parents yeah at the young age i went to church my whole life at age of 14 i remember when snbs school came to our church for the very first time i gave my life to jesus i felt the very presence of god and i was so scared i was shy i was so insecure i couldn't meet people i couldn't talk to people about i remember the moment he filled me with the holy spirit and then you know like when the holy spirit comes in your life you begin to be like you're not scared anymore you're empowered to go and make disciples a lot of fear a lot of these things from my life it took time in two years and i remember time came when he began to use me he began to speak over me things that i did not believe like hey you're going to go and like evangelist you're going to go and raise up prayer group all right and i remember like i just look back now and i see like with god's help we were able to raise a prayer prayer group where a bunch of americans come to our prayers it was just only me and my friends yeah i was just me my friends but now i have before i went to before i came to school because i wanted to go more and deeper after the lord we had 25 people and 20 of them were saved right at that prayer premiere when i was 14 i remember the moment i was at the altar and symbiotes came and they were preaching and they were sharing about africa i know you go fast me too uh passed by and i remember i came to this school and this feeling in my heart like this compassion came just upon me and when they were asking us they gave us two choices where you want to go uh to serve and i put my first choice as colombia i didn't even put africa we had to be together with this team and and they were praying and fasting over us and this june second we're flying out to tanzania union problems and all i can say that that the reason you hear even in the church uh because god has a big plan for your life you know we live in the world with things changing you know we see wars but you were born for such a time as this in 2020 there's going to be people that will point right at you and be like you are the reason why i'm here so guys i just want to encourage you just go after jesus go after jesus don't be afraid he promised us that he will never leave us so i'm not going to tanzania africa i came with my brother's missions team my missions team could not make it this sunday yeah yes that's in between india and china and um i just want to share a little bit about what we're going to be doing and i have a video at the end that we're going to share that my admissions group made for our church yeah and we're going to be meeting a russian minister there is we're going [Music] when i came to smbs i actually and if anything i thought i was just going to pick something like in america or something close that then i'll just come home right after and when we were presented with the 11 different countries the only country that i wanted to go to was nepal nepal yes but there was there was a problem that kind of came up the problem that when they announced the country they said that we would have to get to the vaccine to go there as well and i was praying about it and i was like god i'm ready to do your work i'm ready for this yes and so i called my parents yeah and at the time i was still 17 so it's like i have to listen to them surely [Music] because i told her i'm not going anywhere if it's not nepal [Music] and i just truly believe that god has something special in store for the people of nepal and i want to ask you guys to just pray for our team and just pray for the people of nepal there is just heavy demonic oppression it's a hindu country that's their biggest religion hindu industry and we're about to play a small video from my mission's team videos being sent to nepal nepal is a country between china and india nepal is one of the most geographically diverse countries in the world and is a home to the himalayan mountains with a population of 29 million 88.9 of nepal's population is unreached meaning they have never heard the gospel our vision this year is to be the hands and feet of jesus and to reach the broken and lost in the paul we will be serving in a number of ways from discipling students leading services in existing churches going into the mountains and sharing the gospel as a team we are dedicated to interceding for nepal prior to our trip and hope you could join us in a prayer a few things to keep in prayer are the hearts of nepal as well as spiritual growth and the unity in the team our mission will amount to nothing if we [Music] so now that you guys learned a little bit about catherine's mission trip to nepal is i want to share a little bit about what our team will be doing in tanzania this is our entire team that will be going has already been living in the in tanzania for six years she has a base there in africa center but mostly we'll be going out to villages to tribes and talk preaching to them and just preaching the good news of what god can do you know evelina was actually a student at slavic missionary bible school that we go to back in 2013 um and now we have the opportunity to partner with her in tanzania we will we will also be giving out bibles to them because not very many of them have bibles that they could read to these people that speak the swahili language in africa and these photos are actually from previous years that they have already been doing this with smbs students that have been going forward you can just see how happy and joyful they are to receive this plus to villages in many different kinds of way kinds of transportation and this is also the kind of churches that we'll be ministering where we'll be ministering to young people older people you know just preaching the gospel to all kinds of people that's that's our whole focus on this mission trip what these children from a young age learn the gospel learn who jesus is and what he did for them then they will not stray away from this path you know we we talked with evelina for a little bit and she told us that all these children just have such joy when a white person comes to africa they just want to come up to you touch you hug you they just want to feel your skin your hair everything so we just want to share this joy with all these children we'll also be doing humanitarian work you know bringing food to them any any kind of any kind of way we can so they didn't feel like they're alone and nobody knows about them or cares about it we could just bring the love of jesus the what jesus did for them how much he loves them we could just show them this because and then sharing the gospel with them you know we will also be building water wells foreign and it's very sad that even many villages there do not have wells they have to travel to other villages just to get to some water previously so we will be helping them in any way we can immediate and we just want to encourage you guys you know we'll be going to africa and just bringing this joy to people you know and we just want you first of all to pray for our team pray for all of us because we need the support because in africa there's many many demonic things going on many witches and witch doctors and many people there are muslims as well so it's not easy for us to go there but we're still making this step of faith and going we believe jesus will do something he'll move in a great way through us he will be able to bring revival to africa of africa and we encourage you guys to support us financially as well as finance you know it's it's not it's very expensive for all of us to go there so we encourage you guys just keep us in your prayers and keep the people in africa in your prayers god bless you guys praise be to god slava bogo i do not know how about you but personally my heart is just is flooded with joy you know what's interesting this brother david he says hey i was born here in the united states yes and something came to my mind i'm speaking to your parents you were just looking at children you were just looking at young people who were born here double radial says yes maybe your children not as old as these folks here in front of us pd i pray a lot malu is mother you know why not but today i was encouraged because i saw not just young people here standing here i saw young people that tasted jesus in their lives did you see the same thing [Music] it is the most beautiful thing ever it is the most beautiful picture for any mother or any dad sami can you guys say amen to that i'm into this no going back encouragement for you brother and sister when you look at your children they're growing up in this time that you're because god has a purpose for them god wants each and every one of them takes jesus god wants your child god wants your child to taste him half of my sermon today brother david i'm not lying you're my witness brother yes once i get my glasses i'll be your witness read this first sentence here god is not looking for ability but he's looking for availability how about that it's a confirmation for you brother when you were praying you were saying god what should i say and he put that in your heart when you were praying yesterday i was in boston praying the same thing god what should i say and this is what this is why i i'm excited about the service today what if they're going to preach for an hour i'm sure they're not childcare connections what if they're just going to you know i don't know i don't know but god was planning this service hallelujah let me share would continue with what brother david mentioned earlier and brother it's not just you or me it's also something that this was brought up at the conference many times we assume that it's about you know going doing missions and doing god's work and and do the outreach and things like that and many times i would like to actually read from book of matthew gospel of matthew chapter 9 verse 37 and verse 38. then he said to his disciples the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few comes forward and let's look at verse 38 ask the lord of the harvest therefore to send out workers into his harvest fields it applies very well to these young folks he says therefore pray the lord of the harvest to send out laborers let me ask you a question whose responsibility and who is in charge of the harvest questions foreign harvest here's what happens sometimes we take it upon ourselves thinking if i do not do this we so the reason why it's important to understand is because then the next question but where are we going let's open up in the same chapter verse 35 two verses jesus went through all the towns and villages teaching to their synagogues preaching and good news of the kingdom and healing every disease in sickness when he saw the crowds he had compassion on them because they were harassed harassed and helpless like sheep without the shepherd video to open the because when jesus was working with people that israel bottles with me he saw so many people on videos not just value and bible says he had compassion in his heart he said they are like sheeps without the shepherd anika so when jesus said pray for the laborers this this passage we just read explains what kind of laborers jesus is looking for yet jesus is not looking for the most talented people he's not looking for people who have those great abilities he is looking for shepherds it is not just someone it is a specific quality that jesus is looking for in his neighborhood and this is why we go back to that phrase that jesus is not looking for ability remember this his brothers were chosen oh maybe this is good looking one elena maybe this is in corinthians it says some are watering but what is i'm in the kingdom of god but here's what the verse right after that says neither of those who one is sowing or watering he wants you to be nothing he doesn't want any of those things that maybe define you in any way he chooses moses to do what on his own no yeah not so good so he chooses a guy who cannot speak he wants him to speak he chooses david who cannot fight what to do i remember pastor david shaw from korea he has the biggest church there is they were building church and there was a lot of money that was involved in that circumstance i have no idea about money there is so many people that are much better than me you know what god answered the reason why i chose because others can count and you can't opinion like that because he wants a person who's instead of he want to trust god and this is why god is not looking for our ability and when we say about availability being available to god it is very deep because a lot of times he says god you know i am available for you to send me on a mission trip oh god i want to do something for you lord and somebody comes to you actually god is answering that prayer today and he says listen you angry we need somebody to to greet at the door when people gonna come in and the person goes and the person goes that's what i'm about available foreign that we don't put things before god. it's only x y and z and and that's it but we see how god works he wants people who are completely free and available to be used another very important point like i said earlier sometimes we think oh god there's a purpose in my life to do something new but let's open up in first corinthians chapter 1 verse 9. first corinthians chapter one verse nine it says god who has called you into fellowship with his son jesus christ our lord is faithful prisoner is to have a fellowship immediately with son jesus cinnamon let's open up also in first john peter first chapter verse one through four peterborough that which was from the beginning which have her we have heard which we have seen with our eyes which we have looked at and our hands have touched this we proclaim concerning the word of life atoms the life appeared we have seen it and testified to it and we proclaimed to you the eternal life which was with the father and has appeared to us now we proclaim to you that we have seen and heard that you may also may have fellowship with us and our fellowship is with father and with son jesus christ and these things we write to you that your joy may be full or completely we so that you can have fellowship with one another and our fellowship comes from christ jesus christ this is our calling sometimes we get it incorrect i'm going to say this for my own life in my adult life when i'm doing many things you know my life because i grew up in this church since i was a young man and i was always doing something i was always involved in something i was always i'm so busy sometimes and i think like i'm doing all this for the lord and i'm doing all these things but then i ask yourself jesus my lord when i was praying a question i said the following words how much of what i do how much of what i do and here's what happened he was suppressed he prays for it god was pointing my heart in my life with christ jesus don't confuse these things with relationships relationship and fellowship they are very different my children my idea and a birth certificate it says i'm a father and under my children so we have relationship we saved and we paid by the blood of jesus to have relationship with him which we did not have but what it is important and the question is not people could be married husband and wife so that's something i've want for us to to think about we need to have a fellowship with christ jesus that's what matters but how do you have this fellowship you start spending time together sometimes i have young families and say hey we don't have friends we we're kind of bored after church and just kind of like it doesn't it is yes start having spending time together invite somebody over your house and when you were invited invite those people back to your house this is how you get close husband and wife maybe we need to be together with one another because something's not right maybe you need to maybe go on a date with one another [Music] you know i was thinking about our church and i say lord and i was in this really spoke to me very deeply i'm glad to hear from young people saying we felt like a family but i'll be very honest with you i think we can do better raise your hand do you want better in our church yes do you want to have something for us to truly feel like a family member and this is exactly what we read in john 1. that fellowship it's not just enough to invite somebody to your house that fellowship starts for all of us first in the feed of jesus christ i know when you have a meeting when you are close with jesus christ you have this desire to expand this law around your this is where we draw a fellowship it's not because we are so good we are so easy to make friends remember i told you gabriel to have a fellowship immediately you need to start spending time together misty i'm talking about prairie closet i'm talking about the prayer closet let's maybe free up some clothes from our actual closets maybe put a little nice cushion or maybe a very nice little rag on the floor and use it as a place to get spend time with jesus not things that what are you gonna do how god gonna use you he's gonna be one purpose for each and every one of us is to have relationship and fellowship with you he talks to most of them was let's do this so when you spend time with jesus you want to have that compassion that he had this is how we mold the hearts of a shepherd what let's get up on our feet and let's pray for him and it's not to judge you but let's raise your hand if you need that fellowship with christ jesus maybe you need to get better at those fellas raise your hand don't don't be scared raising your voice show we talk about the spiritual world we want every word for everyone to know to know i want to let's actually do this let's find yourself a prayer partner a person maybe who's next to you if it's your family or maybe there is somebody who do not know or standing i want to partner up together because like i said a fellowship first starts with a heavenly
