whatever it is that we are going through God and that's why we are gathered here today we are worshiping your name God and we love you with all our hearts and we want to pour out everything before you take your seats we believe we will be beginning our service and today I feel like we're gonna have more of a prayer service you know kind of meditating on God on the spirit and just you know seeing what God has in store for us today but I would like to actually ask is there anyone here today that would like to share something maybe has something on their heart on their heart something that they went through during during the week a testimony a revelation you know anything that is you know worthwhile sharing or you know I feel like it might encourage somebody or help somebody I you know it's open mic I see a hand anyone else two hands alright so Janita you can go ahead and come on up and share whatever it is that you have that you have for us I just put buy it anymore I'm on a mission to worship God and this testimony that I had it's been a year since I was carrying in my heart and I was like okay God you know if you're gonna give me a clean bill you know cancer free I'm gonna go around even now go to Ukraine and I'm gonna tell this because you know this is so powerful was in my life I was kind of was holding and I was like sharing with people and I say when you're ready you'll be sharing this testimony I guess I wasn't ready but time came and I don't want to all those testimonials go to you know like all those not even test like testimonies but all that what God was like with me go to you know just sit there I just wanted to share maybe you know some of you heard it because I shared with some people but I'm just gonna say it again in case somebody your didn't hear it so it goes back to Mexico when we went to Mexico trip I was Peter and to make the story like more you know shorter and more like understandable I'll try to shorten because it's like maybe I'll start writing a book for my grandkids of my journey but when we got there we find the clinic that we're supposed to go to and then we were so tired you know where we're going to sleep because our garden our Airbnb apartment and we're trying to find it know where we're going so here we are there hire the taxi driver we followed him where he took us to the place and we forgot to the apartments we were supposed to stay and like we don't know where to go and then hear this lady coming forward us and she's like are you looking for a house yeah I'm sitting there like we're looking for a place to sleep I thought maybe she's a real estate agent but she's like I'm the person I'm gonna show you where you're gonna sleep where are you gonna stain so we're like oh okay good so we got to the place she showed us the place and she came up to me and she's like okay and she's like are you here for the doctor I was like yeah I'm here for the clinic and her broken English she started telling me listen God created your body God is so good he can heal you and she's just telling me this that I was like yeah yeah I know I know and like it touched me and here comes Peter and he's like Oh sister you pray for us pray for us just like oh I don't know how to pray English he's like pray however you can so we like stand like this lady we just first time see her we start praying and I listening and she's you know it's not just come upon me and she's praying in tongues she's just praying and you know like praying we start praying we were like who was like in my heart I was worshipping but like all this like you know circumstances like I know for 21 days were supposed to stay there so much and but I just seen how God came in through this lady just prayed for us and she was like she's like do you go to church and she's like yes I have Church here okay come on Sunday and bring us you know take us to church we'll follow you and she's like okay okay so here comes Sunday and I'm like but before when I was at home packing my suitcase I was like I should pack some church clothes and I had this like feeling when I packed church clothes I'm gonna go to church and God will heal me there I was like yeah you know like all those thoughts were coming to me so here I am like open my suitcase and then I put to go to church I was like so here she is she came she brought us to church it was like not even compare but you know church is like we go to it's like building no you know just few seats to sit but as soon as I walk and she says like nobody dare speak English you know just like you know maybe like few people like they're like you know how Spanish people you know God they're like and I'm just sitting there like crying like so much lava feels so much presence of God and here I see this man coming toward me and he just comes to me he looked at me and he says in English clean English like God is going to heal you today and I was like and I just start crying so like I cried through the whole service and not and then they went and a pastor came and she's like oh we have Americana's he Americana's here you know let's pray for them they're here like they called us me and Peter and we came like a front and he came to me he start praying over I just fell on their presents oh god I felt so much presence I can't even explain to you I never and I felt so like this is for me was like oh my goodness you know this is like God this is you and so after the service you know we were to worship in there and you know we were in after service left we went to San Diego to get some fresh air American so depressing and all this circumstances but my my heart was like so reducing you know what they say share the story and all those like doubts you know like the feeling but like in my spirit I felt like the best year of my like they put me on a such a strict diet I can't eat like I have to eat to still be there and go through but this like this year was like you know good year and then this new stripe of the cancer came I was like what was that all about was that you all those doubts all those thoughts that attacking me started like like I was just I had to cry out to God to repent to ask him like you know to give me that you know like confidence that he in control of all this and went to the doctor to get the report because they scanned me and all the stuff and she just because she was like telling you one kind of cancer but then she looked and she said from that cancer that you had there is nothing there it's all done you just have new type of cancer that strikes you and they don't understand as I shared this morning like by in this five years I get third round of cancer which are not related it's totally different maybe it has more you know scary pictures I don't even listen what they're saying because I know that God in control he had me five years ago when I started this route and he was like dealing and every way of the road he was like carrying me and like you know you can't even come up with the stories that he was like showing me and killing me through so I'm here like to share that he is in control of our lives like every step of the way you know like he is our Father and he has it and he has like everything like little problems very cancer so it doesn't matter he is like so powerful and bigger we can't even imagine so I have a lot of testimonies I'll just stop right here share more but I just want to glorify God that I'm here today a postal Post said you know our body maybe you know we but inside I'm like renewing every day and I I don't want it to stop I want it like you know just through every day every morning just you know I don't deserve so god is good don't be sad for me be happy that he's working praise God how was everyone today I'm gonna go see how is everyone today great that's awesome you know just yesterday I have a friend he's any evangelist and he travels a lot he goes a lot of places he visits many states goes to many different conferences and even countries even he goes on many mission trips he's a good friend of mine and just yesterday he received a revelation from God he said that like recently he was at an airport he was getting on a flight and there was a fire alarm that goes off inside the airport and everyone starts evacuating so then he he starts walking out of the exit and then God speaks to her he says stop right here look around he starts looking around he's like look at a look at all the people very carefully so he starts looking at the people and he received a revelation he said he said he said to me there's there's three different categories of people and there's the like in in the airport there were the people that just stood still they didn't know what to do they didn't know where to go they just stood still just completely clueless and they were just standing there and then there was another group of people they sort of just followed the crowd like there were people walking out and they just looked around they saw them go now and they're like okay yeah you know I'll go that way too might as well you know everyone else is doing it and there's the third group the third group of people third group of people are the people that actually know what they're doing they know where the exit is they know what they're supposed to do so they just get up and walk and everyone else is following them so he said they're in our lives there's actually these three categories of people there's the people that stand still they don't feel like doing anything in spiritual life they just stand there they think you know it's okay just go to church listen to the sermon go back home it's fine you know just a normal day normal Christian you know Christian there's a second category the category that doesn't do anything only when someone else is doing it so so if someone else is preaching they might as well you know go go ahead and preach if someone reads the Bible okay friend of mine read the Bible I'm gonna go read the Bible why not just just to get by you know there's a people that lead people that are actually pursuing God building a relationship building a foundation in Christianity actually trying to do something with their lives and they don't know it but they're showing an example and they're the father they're the leaders of our Christian lives and that's he said my friend evangelist he said so this is exactly the type of life that every Christian is supposed to be striving to do they're supposed to try to lead and follow Christ not just go to church every day daily routine just live a Christian just to get by but they got a lead they got to build their relationship they just got a they got to become something in Christ and they don't know it but they're leaders and they're the people they're the role models of Christianity I think I just think that that's that's something that we gotta strive to be awesome awesome revelation Dennis thank you thank you for sharing it's actually nice you touched on that point because I guess what I actually was gonna share you know today well actually fall right right with that you know hearing the testimony and the mess Dennis shared you know it really kind of for like like Dennis said the don't you want to be that person that his spirit filled and following God once don't you want to like to not just sit there and look around like he said or sit there see someone going and go after them but to actually have that guidance have the spirit guiding you and knowing what to do to become you know that kind of to be you know to live that kind of life of a true Christian where you can actually you know say that yes I have a relationship with the Holy Spirit and I am able to truly you know live a life as a Christian not just call myself like he said Christian but to actually be one and my message today will be I'm gonna try to make it as I guess practical applicable and you know just kind of like a message more than a sermon just because you know I feel like it'll easier for me that way but before I do share I kind of I want to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to because if I'm going to be speaking about him I want to make sure that you know he's the one that's that's giving you guys that information and I would like us all to stand to our feet and just ask him to you know inspire me and just give me the words to say so that I can help you leave here you know with with some something that you can actually apply to your lives let us pray God thank you for gathering us all all here today and we pray now every person here receives something from you today God and we pray that it be something that they can actually apply to their live and they lives and they can live with that and today you can become that person that spirit of feel that actually walks in your spirit and lives a life for you that can that can proclaim themselves as Christians not just not just say they're a Christian to you know cover up or but to actually be that Christian to be that person God and I pray that you give me the words and give me the knowledge wisdom to speak to your people so that they actually get something and they can live with whatever it is that they hear today in Jesus name we pray amen so I'd like to actually start off with a little story about a guy he lived in Africa and he he had a family and he you know he worked like a regular job whatever and he wanted more out of his life he's he wasn't satisfied with what he was what he had you know like with as far as its income his family life so he heard about his Gold Rush it's like you know people looking for jewels or gems or diamonds and he you know he jumped on to this Gold Rush friends told him about it so he got and gathered his family together and they started to travel first it was like India they said that you know there's a bunch of stuff there they went there he mined for years you know nothing went somewhere else went somewhere else you know depression his life just you know nothing was working out for him so he actually ended up ending his life and you know because he was chasing something that somebody said somebody told him but when when in Africa the place that he lived that he actually lived like on a farm he sold that place to somebody and the people that bought that place actually they were out in the back in the field plowing or working in the back in the back yard and they stumbled across like a bunch of stones and like they were kind of you know under the ground whatever so he pulled him out brought him inside the house he had clergy from like church come by and to his house he didn't know what the rocks were but the clergy used to be a jeweler and he was like you know what you have sitting over there and you know the guys like no it's some kind of rocks I found in my in my back yard and the clergy said if you you know the jeweler I that used to be a jeweler he said they a few these are actually one of the most rarest diamonds that you know you can find and the thing is the guy that lived there originally they heard about this gold rush' started looking for it everywhere else he had it in his own backyard he had all this precious you know jewels that are so rare these diamonds and they were right in his backyard but he spent his whole life searching for something you know to satisfy him when it was just right there and that is actually brothers and sisters that is the Holy Spirit and we as believers that diamond that precious jewel is the Holy Spirit we as believers we have that once we're born again we receive the Holy Spirit and we have him to guide us to comfort us and it's all the it's all the treasures this there's no treasure on this world that can compare to this to the Holy Spirit and sometimes we as believers we tend to you know look for other things you know sometimes things the world has to offer you know go around and you know trying to satisfy ourselves with something else when right in our backyard we have the Holy Spirit so I would like to build my message off of this story and you know it's something that came to me as believers you know sometimes we struggle as far as in our in our in our walk and I always wondered why you know like we have the Holy Spirit you know we speak in tongues and you know all these things and you know we we always push forward but for some reason something something is lacking so like I bill this message trying to you know share something to kind of help help with that so in Acts chapter or act chapter one verse eight it is written but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth so in this message it says the Holy Spirit is a power so you know a lot of times we think hey we got the Holy Spirit we have power what is this what is this power it's okay let's say people speak in tongues some people you know when they're overwhelmed by the power they might shake you know they they pray loud we usually attach like physical symbols or science to you know someone having the Holy Spirit but I would like to point out that the Holy Spirit is actually a person he is a being he is someone you know that you can communicate with he is someone that you can you know build a relationship with fellowship with and you can cultivate a relationship with him so you know a lot of times we okay we got the Holy Spirit and we use I guess instead of using you know saying him we it's like an it we pray in tongues you know we feel it we know it but it's not we don't recognize him as a person so so what we tend to do is we we you know we were born again and then we have the Holy Spirit but then we don't cultivate that relationship with the Holy Spirit in which we don't receive that power and we can't be witnesses and in other words we can't be the full we can't live our lives to the fullest Christian that we could possibly be so the first point I would like to point out is relationship when when we are born again we actually received and receiving the Holy Spirit we I'll actually read a verse John chapter three verse five and six so most assuredly I say to you unless one is born of the water and the spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that is which born of the Spirit is spirit so in this verse it says that you know being born of the Spirit so so for example when you were born again you know you have the Holy Spirit he is your guide to guide you in your Christian walk so you must walk in the spirit it's the same way it's the same way as you know if someone were to get married they're legally bound kind of how do I explain his wife and husband gets married right once they get married the wife and the husband work together excuse me I gotta gather my thoughts so basically it's the Holy Spirit is there to guide you and you know sometimes sometimes we can be there we go sometimes we can be we can have the Holy Spirit you know just like a husband and a wife are married they they're legally married they're there but if they don't cultivate that relationship between each other you know just because they have that relationship like I can have a relationship with the Holy Spirit just like Peter about that John has a relationship with his wife right they have a relationship I have a relationship with the Holy Spirit if they don't cultivate their relationship if they don't spend time together they don't talk to each other they don't talk about their problems they don't spend time together you know their relationship falls apart same way for me if my relationship with the Holy Spirit if I don't spend time with him if I don't you know talk about my problems if I if I don't treat him like a person and out of respect and actually cultivate something with him then the relationship will fall apart so that will actually not actually leave basically just because just because you have that relationship doesn't mean you walk in it that's that's what I'm trying to point out and we as humans a lot of times you know with our friends for example we can have the relationship you know but if we don't work on it it can fall apart so that leads me to my second point which is fellowship and a lot of you know especially if you know a Ukrainian or Russian you know bla a dodj hospital not sure a su surface nah you know Bobo ha ha he's Santa he's getting us with all right it's the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit so the word fellowship they're you know usually we like to tie that you know that you know bursts with you know churches over here okay so we're saying the verse okay okay so let's go let's go whatever yeah now let's go do something so we don't necessarily focus on that and a lot of times in our actual spiritual walk we don't focus on it as well you know I mean we don't realize how important the actual fellowship is and not just the relationship so for that I would like to say that the Holy Spirit wants to spend time with you he wants he wants to know what you're going through he wants to know you know like for example sometimes people will go to their parents okay they're going through something in their life you know they're struggling with something they'll go to their dad to their mom you know but God has provided us with the Holy Spirit so that we could go to him he's there to comfort us he is there to guide us you know a lot of times we think oh that's that's so weird he's not even you know a person that you can go to physically you know and talk to him how are you gonna help us how you know but it's as weird as it sounds it actually works like if you if you right now if you haven't done it before you know and if it may be your first time to actually go and speak to the Holy Spirit as if he is a person and and explain your problems to him and share with him what you're going through in your life and you know that has there's power behind that because what your dad can do he can help you in the physical but the Holy Spirit's there to help you with every single part part of your life and you know you know and it's the same way you work on a relationship with the Holy Spirit can be in just the same way you work on a friendship or a marriage you know if for example a husband and a wife they don't spend time together like I said earlier they don't they don't go out they don't share their problems or things you know things that they're going through what happens with that relationship it falls apart you know in the same way with the Holy Spirit he's given to us to guide us to he wants to hear what our problems are how is God supposed to help us house the Holy Spirit supposed to help us if we don't even open up ourselves to him to let him know what we're going through so you know and here's a good example especially for the youth you guys have snapchat you know texting a lot of you know texting has you know read read messages like as if someone reads your message shows you so for example say you message your friend and you know you what when the Holy Spirit calls out to us like hey you need to do this you need to do that he sends us a message basically you know so say say you were to send a message to a friend saying hey there's this this they they read the message but they don't reply or maybe or maybe they take a week to reply you know same way with our lives sometimes the Holy Spirit calls out to us you know senseless that message sends us that snap he sees we open it we heard him you know we know that that's wrong we know that we should be doing this or that but we we leave it on read so like in our eyes that's so wrong why would you you know open a friend's message or your wife's messenger whoever's message and you know not reply or take a long time to reply but because the Holy Spirit is not a physical person we tend to treat him the same way oh he's he's talking to us but you know we don't we don't worry about replying to him you know because he's not there so I thought that by saying that I want to emphasize on the point that just because he's not there you know physically doesn't mean that the power like behind I guess the who he is without seeing him it's there because if you actually have in your life attempted to build a relationship or cultivate a relationship with the Holy Spirit as if you were to cultivate with your wife friend or you know a loved one then you would know what it really is and I would like to speak to both people you know that have had this and lost it and to people that have never had this and and you know would like to have this relationship so you know and the third the third point is the power the power behind actually cultivating and you know building fellowship with the holy spirit what what what does it do in your life so the first verse that said that we can actually become witnesses you know we can be firm in our faith when we when we when people confront us and people talk to us when we have a strong relationship with the holy spirit we're gonna be able to stand firm we're gonna be able to be bold and to share with them exactly what the Holy Spirit is inspiring us to share to them we won't we won't be you know we won't shy away from it we're not gonna be scared to go out you know and and we will actually be able to stay firm in the fact that we a Christian and actually another point I would like to throw out there through this when I in my own personal life when I have a relationship with the Holy Spirit I know when I'm cultivating it sometimes I make mistakes you know sometimes make poor decisions and I lose sometimes I lose my relationship but I know that when I do have that relationship and when that relationships you know going I know that if someone were to ask me if I'm saved if I if I am guaranteed that I will be in the kingdom of heaven when I have that relationship and I know I have it and I'm building fellowship and I'm building that relationship I know that I will be in the kingdom of kingdom of God because because I'm so close to him to that power and to that to that you know the Holy Spirit Himself that I know that I'm gonna end up in heaven I know I can be firm in my Christianity I can be firm in my faith because of relationship so my third verse for for power it's written 1 Corinthians chapter 2 verse 3 and it says and my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power that your faith should not be of the wisdom of men but the power of God so in this verse that says that basically you know I could be up here and I could be speaking trying to persuade you know you guys to believe something and I could do a really good job at it I can I can make you cry I can make you laugh I can do things that can make you believe something you know and and you will believe it but there's also when the power of the Holy Spirit actually speaks to you you know it says per se so words of human wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and power which means what I'm speaking to you right now if it has truth behind if the Holy Spirit truly stands behind it you will go home you will apply it and it will work because the Bible says here clearly it has power so if someone is speaking inspired by the Holy Spirit you will receive and it will work so in the same way in your relationship when you when you are walking in in spirit when you're cultivating your relationship with the Holy Spirit when you have fellowship with the Holy Spirit when you go when you witness when you spend time with people when you speak and if this if you have a relationship with the Holy Spirit there will be power behind that it will you will be able to make a change in the world you will be able to make a change in people's lives because of the fact that you have that relationship with the Holy Spirit so what I would like to kind of you know wrapping up my message I kind of my purpose in this was to try to try to get you guys to understand how important it is to actually you know fellowship to actually have that connection with the Holy Spirit because I've noticed in my life many times you know when I could see like a very clear difference between between you know having a relationship with the Holy Spirit and not you know and when I have a relationship I know I know like I said earlier I know that I'm saved I know I know I'm so close to God that I that I I can be firm and what I say and what I speak it's just there the power that comes along with it it doesn't happen just because you're born again and you know you go out you know you have to build it you have to cultivate it you know someone I'm actually engaged gonna be getting married soon I know that when I get married my relationships not gonna work just like that I have to actually put time into it I have to put effort into it I have to I'm gonna have to talk some things out I'm gonna have to go through marriage counseling gonna have to do many many many things you know to get get it to work so the same way with the Holy Spirit we can't just become Christians and then start doing things thinking it's gonna work you know because first of all we as Christians we need to be walking in the spirit we need to be doing the things we are doing serving when we are serving through the power of the Holy Spirit so how can we do that if we don't even spend time with him so this is this is the point that I'm trying to put out you know tonight sometimes sometimes it can be as simple you're struggling in your life you don't know what's going on you pray to God you're trying to figure out you know why isn't it working why can't I be a good Christian why can't I not sin you know it's not even about not sinning it's as simple as relationship you just you just have to be real with the holy spirit just tell him hey I'm in this situation in my life I'm struggling with this I'm constantly doing this I can't get out of it and daily just say please help me you know and and I promise you through through that effort and through the desire of your heart of actually wanting you know to get closer to God and build that relationship with the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit will intervene for you and pull you out of whatever it is that you were going through and for lilia it was healing and that was a testimony you know many people other people have different testimonies of how this actually works but I try I'm I'm trying to kind of put a practical more applicable you know way of doing it so that you know especially the youth here I'm sure you know me being a youth member it took me a long long time to realize the effectiveness of actually trying to do it and knowing that talking to a person that isn't there you know it kind of sounds you know to anole even unbeliever it'd be like oh you're crazy why would you talk to nobody you know but if there's power behind it and I'm here you know testifying telling you that it truly truly works so before we pray you know I I would like everyone to kind of truly you know not just you know another prayer but I like actually how last time we had one of these English services David Circle came up and said a testimony he said he said he there was a point of his life that you know that actually changed everything around for him he said you know he was living life nothing nothing was going good for him and he got to a point of his life like a dead end and he said he actually truly with all his heart prayed to God like it was a true prayer like he actually you know meant it wasn't just okay the church is getting up to pray I'm gonna stand I'm gonna pray he actually meant well he was praying so today what I would like us to do is you know to actually mean it in our prayer to actually you know call out to the holy spirit you know recognize him as a person recognized him recognize him as someone that actually guides you through your life that actually provides you with the power to being a Christian to the full efficiency that you could possibly be to provide you with the power to overcome whatever it is that you're going through you know just now if you if you fall into something you can't say oh it's because God wasn't there to help me no it's because it's because we lacked in our relationship if something happens in your marriage or something happens in your friendship you know that you know you guys miss communicated or something or you haven't talked for a while and something happens whose fall is that it's your fault for not communicating it's your fault for not explaining your side of the you know whatever happen so the same way with the Holy Spirit if something's something's not working in their spiritual life it's not because all the Holy Spirit did something it's because something went wrong between us between that relationship with you and the Holy Spirit so I would like us to stand to our feet and you know whatever point in our life that we're at right now just kind of you know like I would like to say just give it a shot you know just recognize the Holy Spirit as a person you know ask him to help you in whatever point of life you are right now I believe he's gonna speak you know to you today like I right at this moment right at this prayer so you know to actually receive what he has to say for you just just kind of pray or as simple as Holy Spirit I recognize you were there I recognized you as a person and I know you were given to me to to guide me through my life to be there for me and I'm going through this in this and I want your help I want you to show me that you are truly there and I want to have a relationship with you I don't want to treat you just as a tongue or as some kind of physical manifestation or something you know I want to actually know you more I want to to know who you are and what you want
