like in the morning service you know everything strain everything like Sunday morning here you more concentrate for Jesus and tonight there is a night one vote Phillip his name tonight is a night when we had to this year be God's love were welcome everyone who is here tonight may be the first time in this mmm if the service we have a special party were playing to God not you we can you know we can do that with your permission later tonight after the testimonies in praise and worship will have a time while they actually pass thank you system nice to see you it was like a 30 days how you been doing I fear that I you been learning all people we have a good lunch today all the northern home minister weather is great I saw the pictures yeah what are you standing in there [Music] don't you [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Lord Jesus we praise and worship your name once again Lord Jesus we're here just to say how much you means to us thank you Lord Jesus thank you for this beautiful evening thank you for that you are savor oh jesus let us share your name boldly without hesitation it was out just too without any kind of fear I pray that your power and boldness will come for those whose gonna speak with those are gonna praise your name that your name will be glorified we'll lift up your name tonight this night this evening it's belongs to you Lord Jesus I pray the prayer of blessings for everyone who gonna hear this word who is gonna pray that you that your name will be praised and their prayers will be heard by you and will be answered and we'll all the praying mighty name of Jesus amen well please have a seat thank you it's a beautiful is that nice the worship team you did a great job tonight is that I men yeah I would like to invite the Benjamin he will share his testimony of what is on his heart may God bless you Ben I'm glad to see everyone here today I'm glad to be able to share a testimony and I think it's so important because I started think about it I was sitting there and if you think about you know I don't know it's when you hear people like you know at the end of service they'll ask for prayer requests the last hey I need this done in my life hey I need this they're always they're always like you know requesting something from God but I feel in my life that I hear so many more requests than I do testimonies and I think that's such an important thing in our in our faith to hear what Jesus did what God did for us in our lives is such an encouragement remember even as I I think as a kid I remember it more you know on youth services like when my dad was passed or I was visiting doesn't matter when but I just remembered I was younger and whenever people came they have their sermons that they preached but before sermons or at the end didn't matter people would come and say they share testimonies and you just get this kind of joy sometimes if it's really good you got the goose bumps you know the tests testifying for us I think is so important I remember preaching I was preaching a sermon is about light and it was basically how you know God gives you this message he gives you this the message of salvation and we're called to you know shine it onto the world we're called to share with others and I think the same thing when God does something great in your life he does it not only to better your life but also for others to be encouraged from it to others to build their own faith from it and I think for me in my life the biggest one of the great like I'm definitely it happens to me all the time even when I was asked to you know to share a testimony you just started thinking they're like man what do I have to you know what testimonies God did and I think it's I think it happens to all of us we get we get so comfortable with the blessings of God that we have in our lives that we forget that you know all the things that happen every day from day to day basis that those are the biggest blessings in our life when I was thinking you know what I can share I just started thinking man you know like what was something like I didn't I haven't he I mean I've had like I didn't have any like recent life or death experiences anything like that you know my life didn't grow like three inches longer nothing like that but if you really start thinking about it it's the small things that like really solidify our faith and this that small things are actually blessings for me personally one of the biggest blessings I have in my life is my education my school am I basically just my like that's what that's what I do you know people go to work this and that for me it's been school so that's been taken such a great majority of my life and it's amazing to see how God takes you like you think it's just okay you're there for an education you had to get a degree but like that's my life like you know the the moments that I see that God working in my life is a lot of them through school and I'd like to share a few of a few the aspects of schooling and how you know it's been a testimony in my life I think the first first most testimony that I can share what that is I mean God's been so good to me like I've been able to I've been able to go to school and I hear so many stories like with other students or I'll be there and they're saying how they're working these jobs they're working like double jobs double shifts they can't do this they can't do that because they have to pay for school and I mean I'm here to testify that God's been so great to me he's been he gave me scholarships he gave me a way to go to school and also live a life and all of like people even the stage where I'm at like people I'll talk to other people in there they say that they're in debt or that they they did they had to like you take out loans and I mean that's the testimony in my life like I've been able to three and a half years of schooling and I mean it's it's so far it's been free for me and I've been really blessed with that another testimony that I could share about school will also be the friends that I've met and basically the things that you think you know they're kind of for you like the things that you think they have no relation they're you do it for yourself but God has a greater purpose I think for me it was like to be honest it might sound a little strange or whatnot but it was the surf club you know I really I came to USF and I was uh i came to USF and that was already like after two years at the Community College that I want to I transferred USF and when I got there I was really into surfing and I really wanted to and I was thinking you know like men I really like I thought it was for me you know and so I look around this and I was in math class the way it all happened was just just I would think of it weird at the time but now looking back I think like God specifically placed me in that class in that whole pathway just for the purpose that is served and so I'm sitting in calculus too I remember because it was I didn't do too well in that class so it's one of those that you really remember but I was sitting there and before I knew that I was gonna do bout it now he was in the middle I was like man it's a great time and I'm sitting there and I started talking with this one kid something something the professor said surfing came up and they the kids said something and I was like men you know maybe he knows something about surfing like you know maybe there's some kind of club this and that so after after class I approached him and I said Amen this and that I brought up surfing I was like yeah I really like are you to surf music well kind of I was like oh man I'm kind of getting hyped for all this I really want to start and he's like yeah well I'm actually the president of the surf club and I was like hmm I was like man better make friends with him I've become friends with him all of a sudden if you're friends with the president you get all the surf equipment for free there's a punch line it's not I'm not just talking about surfing but so I get so stoked I can start hanging out with him I'm talking with them more often this and that I hear that there's elections coming up for next year and that means like you know they're gonna choose new officers this and that and I thought man if every time I want a surfboard I got to talk to this guy what happens if you're the president like you even have to talk to him apparently you don't so I was like you know that's the goal so then I'm so stoked I body up with him this and that and it was it was interesting because it's like your character is really tested like once you're once you're in school because like I said it's not something that you see somebody on the street you say something and you walk away this is people that you spend the majority of your time with so I was spending like a lot of hours studying with him this and that I started like noticing things like you know if your first glance you look at somebody you can judge them honestly you could judge like he had like a beanie this nice kind of looked like a surfer this neck and then as like the more I got to know him he started like hey like we started talking about music this and that and he just turns on something like crazy like I'm not I was about to but he turns on some crazy like hard rock isn't he let me try it here sometimes and I was like whoa man I was like all of a sudden I was started getting these different vibes about him and so later on I saw something he was scribbling some weird stuff like it was just it was just very weird vibes from him and I knew I had a choice you know can I just ignore it because I wanted to be you know the president of the surf club so I get all the equipment this and that the perks of it and out where I said man why should you keep it to myself you know like it was definitely one of those moments in my life where it was like do you stand firm for what you believe in or do you kind of blend in you kind of go with the flow and like you know I don't have to tell him anything like I would definitely risk you know if if we don't become friends or this and that he won't really show me the ropes of how to become a president so I was like really really kind of like thinking man should I should I not should I and I ended up telling him I said yo man you know what this and that I was like I mean um we started talking about basically the people at church I mean that's cool and we call him wait they call him the fire features or the hey I don't know exact words for them but it's basically the people that they'll start yelling at you like the gospel and they I mean they have the gospel but they twist it and though just people like as people walk by they just start yelling at you and that came up and I told him I said hey you know Christianity is not the way I mean that's not the way Christianity is the way that they present it is not the way that it should be this Annette we started talking and he was definitely he was not feeling at all there's definitely a lot of friction whenever I brought it up but at the same time I learned a lesson you know it's not our job as it's not our job as Christians you know where we don't hold the power to make someone believe you know we don't come up somebody and say hey listen this is the gospel and and we keep shoving them those people that were screaming at school all we do is we plant that seed and that's it and so that's what I I did you know I told him I said you know the music you listen to it's it's definitely and he even brought up like Satan this night and I said hey man that's definitely not the right way to live life I I told him about the gospel told him this and that and you know I think he respected the fact that I stood for what I believe that like the fact that you know I ended up telling him what was on my mind what what you know what I thought was wrong and he he didn't you know we always freaked out we always think like as soon as you tell somebody that's like you know a Satanist or whatnot that they're just gonna like completely like you know start punching or something but like I told him it was a normal day nothing happened there's no violence this and that and I planted the seed is what I'm getting it and so time went on and I ended up becoming the president of the surf club which was also I mean it was a blessing for I guess personal benefits but also there's a bigger picture that God had in playing we were able to gladden I we really got into surfing and we were able to with that kind of the attitude of you know we really wanted to go to the other coast of California so this and that and I think the majority like our boards that some of the boards that we used were from the surf club so in a way the surf club did help us go to the other coast and when we were there we were able to evangelize as well so because like you would start thinking like you know people I don't know for some reason I feel like people paint Christianity as is such a such a boring way to live life like it's something that's just you come you read your Bible you dress nicely everything's to you know everything your pants are all ironed they're straight and everything like that you're just you're just you're like a robot kind of and I mean Mike what I'm here to say what God's been working in my life is if you're if your passions fall within the will of God then then you will live the most amazing the most fun filled life you can imagine like surfing I would think it was just for me you know I was thinking man I'm I'm just gonna you know do this for me but God had a greater plan he was able to use my passion and for his glory like that was that was you know going to the other coast like we were able to evangelize there and this and that and one of the biggest things that I realized about you know missionary work is we've definitely planted seeds you know we handed out the but it's not necessarily as much as you know what how we impacted other's lives versus how those lives impacted us like when we went flat and I went on the missionary trip to the other coast we were able I remember because it's like it's different when you know you have an authority figure with you like when your dad calms you go bottom all of this night I was like 20 years old I was like asking him for some money you know about this and that like this it's like it's different vibe when it's like when you have that authority but when you're sent in on your own it's totally different and that's what why don't well at least what I fell and I think Vlad fell to because we were standing there with the cross we were walking the streets I don't know not all of you may have known but we grabbed a cross and we're walking the streets of Los Angeles of also San Diego and you know we were people some people who completely rejected us some people took it but some people would come and they and they treat us with like authority that we knew we didn't have but that God gave us you know and they'd ask us taking you pray for this pray for that and really changed my viewpoint of myself you know that I I as a person I as a student I have that ability you know to minister on to others so that was how that surfing impacted me also on the last trip is with the surfing my term ended so I'm no longer sir president passed it on someone else but on the last ship that we went out I remember if we were super excited we ended up getting like these big hotels this and that and I and I usually want to go surfing it's like Vlad and I will go to the other coast where we're on our own but you know I was I remember I was here I was getting prepared to go and there's a prayer in the morning as I was here my dad was like hey come on up and we're gonna pray for you this night he made a big scene I was just standing there like sitting like everybody's praying for me I'm thinking like you know I'm just going to surf you know that's all I'm going down like you're making this into a bigger bigger thing that has to be on and so as I go there I kind of it kind of fires something up in me it's because my dad said you know we're sending you on a mission and I think if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have thought of it the same as I go we go we got in the car that's an that we meet up with everybody at school so it's like there was maybe there's maybe like 12 of us and they were all getting so hot like they're hyped up they're like that's this so much fun we go to the beach we go surfing and as we're walking around everybody's like starting to talk to like oh man I can't wait we're gonna buy these kind of drinks this and that and we're going to the hotel room this and that and I was like but for me I was like whoa this is this is I'm just I'm a missionary this is this is where I'm going this is what and people were coming up to me and like I'm the president is that like hey man you still excited we're gonna listen that and I just kind of looked at them and it was once again one of those moments like hey do you want to go with the flow do you want to you know just ease your way like into like you know just like oh maybe this and I got a drive I don't make up some excuse but I like look at them flat-out and it was it was the the confidence that you have like when you know your foundation like you you're not worried like I feel if it was at a younger age or this and that I'd kind of be like worried I'd kind of be like worried how people would think this and that but having that foundation of Christ in me you know I looked at them and I said you know I live my life differently like I I love having fun without alcohol without any of that wild stuff and like a like before I was started thinking like man how are people gonna take it and the back of your mind you always I think man they're gonna go wild they're gonna be like looking at you like like well it was it's so interesting like people genuinely respect that because I think they see the power that you know God gives you that they won their lives like people will often say like oh he's a Christian he can't drink but if you think about it it's not that we can't drink it's that they can't drink you know like when you drink alcohol it's so hard for you my dad always said like you're addicted if you can't stop that day if that thing you cannot stop what you're doing and tomorrow you're ending up doing it again it's called an addiction and so I feel like that's the same way when they approached me this is that sometimes you're worried like you know they're gonna like down talk you this and that but they very genuinely respect to that and so I was like proof I was like okay they're genuinely respecting it so I'm like let's let's push things a little further and so I was in the car with two two brothers and they were with me and we were driving the four hours to there and on the way back we're driving on so four hours so on the way there I'm just like slowly like you know playing funny little seeds talking about this and talking about my life one of the guys was bringing it up like I can't wait this and I and I and he was very excited to actually you know start drinking he was he's a big advocate for it and I was like well you know life is so much more interesting when you when you're like sober and it's so interesting his mood changed instantaneous he he's he started he started sitting back in his chair and he got quieter and then when people started bringing it up other people he was he was really quiet about it and I was so confused and then when we the night actually came and everybody was you know getting wild not everybody you know it's not it's not me like miracles were not made like it's not like I said hey I don't drink and everybody that's it we were singing Kumbaya like people still did what they wanted to do but at the same time the brothers that I you know was talking to in the cars I was driving with me he ended up you know not participating he just ended up going to sleep this and that and he the next day he said he was he was so much better cuz the next day everybody woke up and then everybody was all groggy and we have a surf competition and all the competitors are like but he was in the water he realized you know life has a bigger purpose I feel like I may be making a bigger storm maybe you're just feeling it but for me in my eyes you know he started thinking about his life in this net and so on the way back on the way back coming home I really started thinking like you know oh also when we were there this was kind of what really took took I guess my nerves to the next level like okay I told these people that you know I'm a Christian they understand this and so we're all gathered there the competition is coming to an end and so it's our school and all the other schools on the coast so there's basically it's it's the place you want to be like there's a lot of people like young adults everybody's having fun surfing and whatnot and it's it's not like a secluded beach everybody parks on the beach because the competitions right there so like there's just it's like Clearwater Beach County there's like tons of people and so for me it was kind of us I remember I think thinking about it like man maybe we're gonna I'm gonna pray with them this and that but I was like man that is that is a little too far-fetched that's a little too wild but I started you know God gave me the courage and I said as I was starting to think you know last year as president his last trip this and that why not and so I said to everybody I said because I want to do it in the morning but it's like one of those things I ended up going with the flow you know I pushed it aside got busy I said no it's okay we don't have to pray but on the way back when we were all getting ready I said hey you guys don't mind if I pray for the way home that we have a blessed time this neck and everybody was so forth they were so excited they were so stoked they were yes let's do it they all grabbed hands I was like okay this is getting lets grab hands so we grabbed hands and we start praying and I'm just I had my eyes closed but I could imagine like all the like I'm telling you like they were like I bet people not only was it like a testimony for everyone who was in the circle but I feel like for the people around you know like for me I don't remember the last time I ever saw like you know on the beach like people praying this I mean I'm I'm very sure everybody knew that we were praying they caught on to what was going on but I I think that in itself is a testimony and when we put our pride aside I think that's also I have a verse that I want to share it that's a big factor in testifying like people want to take what God gives them and call it their own like school I'm here to testify school is all God like I mean I'm surprised at how I passed half the classes like I a minute I I wouldn't consider myself a very smart intelligent man like I'm there but it's I'm definitely not where you know that I feel like maybe some people may look at me but it's definitely all of God's blessing the fact that I got to where I am today it's all God and I feel like that's the same thing in our lives like we'll God will give us something and then we'll put our own name on it and walk around as if it's ours and we'll say well you know that's that's mine and that's test testifying is definitely the way to give back to God to say you know this is why it all happened and the pride is definitely something that we got to put aside because if you if you're sitting there well you know if I I was sitting there and thinking like you know should I share share school and I was like man well I don't want to be prideful I don't want it to seem that you know I've succeeded in school because of my own efforts it's that's what my testimony is is the fact that God has really used school to influence not only my life but I hope others as well and verse that I'd like to read that speaks on this and this verse really really got me going I I wrote it on a stick you know boaters posted on my wall because it spoke spoke to a lot of Psalms 10 for in his pride the wicked man does not seek him in all his thoughts there is no room for God I started thinking you know especially with school like it will I see it all the time with my professors it will make you your mind just start working and you start thinking that you have an understanding of life basically like um that you put yourself higher than maybe others and you put your you put your own intellectual mind higher than what others may you know think so you started thinking well I know that you know the evolution this is how the earth was created this and that and then you start becoming prideful because you start thinking well the mind you know I've learned this in school I have done the research this and that and it's so it's it's such a wrong way to think because I always think I always get worried when I read this and I always start you know thinking about how to seek God and and really set aside my set aside my ingredie habits and whatnot so like it's written in in his pride the wicked man does not seek him and so that's what I was always worried about like going to school I didn't ever want to become prideful to the fact where I didn't want to seek God School has been definitely an amazing an amazing experience for me it's it's I mean there's definitely still temptations I feel like just like at the same time the foundation that you have in God is what sets you apart from the world I remember when I found first time I found we found a church localized at the school and I remember walking for the first time to this service and I had my Bible in my hand and I don't know why I don't know why it was what I I never could have seen myself carrying my Bible around in school and with that and with the joy that I had in my heart because for some reason it's it's so wrong but it was separated you know I like I knew Bible goes to church like the Bible goes on Sunday's Bible Bible doesn't go to me with school but it was such a blessing also to find a community I think for anybody who is going to college or thinking about college or anything like that like yeah our local community is definitely like important like Sunday's this is where I want to be but when I'm Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday when I'm at school and I don't have time to make it back to our Bible studies is this not that foundation that I found there I mean relieved a lot of my stresses like I said I was carrying the Bible and I was just so happy just felt so blessed the fact that you know it was just so different and I loved it like my Bible with me at school and it's all in one place that the Bible is not separated but the Word of God that God Himself is not separated in any aspects of life like it all comes together and I was God open up my eyes in that aspect to the end of the day yeah my testimony that the conclusion of my testimony is that God has been so great to me especially with school like he's been he's been I'll get so worried about a class I'll get so worried about this I supposed to get like the c-minus in a class Oh C+ in a class and I remember like just dreading it this and that and I and I mean I made friends with the professor and that was a whole different story too because the professor he said you know what book are you reading I came in with the book and I was like I didn't knew he was like he was he's a biochemist so I knew like I mean I was kind of expecting like I was like okay this man probably is not a Christian and so I'm carrying this book he's like hey what book are you reading and it was like the breaking point I believe it was a Christian book and this and that and I told him about it and he's like and he's all of a sudden he got in this weird mood and I was like he was the man who bumped my C+ was but I definitely saw my grade and then I saw what he put in and I was just and we ended up talking about religion later on and this and that and he said you know you're probably offended that I don't this and that like I said you just you plant the seed that's all you do like we're not called to make sure we call it to water if you know we're around but we're not call to make sure that it grows like it's not through our powers that the seeds that we planted people grow long story short I've been talking a lot here the big point that I'd like to make is that God has been so good to me in my life I mean greatly with school and the fact that he's been setting me on the right path you know calling me I mean I haven't I can't say that you know my life has been perfect and all I've been doing just walking this tightrope like it's definitely been a stone by the same time God calls me and I'm and I'm blessed to have parents that can support me through school and just so many blessings that I'd like to say and mother was a nice testimony I remember when he came is just my son well he for those who don't know well he came to this to me said dad there is opportunity for me to be a surf club I said son that's not a place for a Christian what do you mean right in those ways were those you know geek people I was like worried about no I said what would Jesus do you know if Jesus really would ride their waves and I shut this down completely I said son I don't think so that's for you he just came for advice you know but then later on I came I said Lord spoke to me hey because if Jesus would be here you don't want to left that club was a surfing club unattended he would want somebody to influence what a encouragement you people the young generation old generation there is a circle of life which is around you your life with God's want to influence the people around you so just think about that and be faithful be faithful so I'm so nice blessed blessed been well let's just say invite us Sasha please Alexandra we will welcome you yes is the first time you speak yes come let's just give her some encouragement here's a microphone god bless you sister and I just want to share something that happened and until something happened you don't really realize how much time you have left with like people that you care deeply about and you don't realize what you have until you lost how people say so my dad was in Arizona driving it was Dave he sees you just driving in so he sees the dropping front man and they were just driving no emergency signals you can't see that the truck that stopped because like when you joined there oh you think oh they not on the side of the road so you think they driving he drives closer to the car and he sees that the car is not moving so he slams the brakes but it was too late so he slams into the truck with the force of 60 miles per hour yeah after they had accident happened I want to say that none of the airbags performed so if they did actually perform that would push his head to the top of the roof and he would lose his head so if they did perform he wouldn't be here but just I just wanted to say that how grateful I am that our God is so protective of us and I hope I am to be over and he sends people through life that I really just there for us when we need to so after the car accident happen and it was in the middle of the desert and there is no airport of where you can get there they send the companies and the person that's supposed to pick up the load since I survived and drive back and there was no way my dad would get home it's 120 miles different direction and so the person was actually Christian so he took my dad's load and he dropped him home bad Conger 20 miles back and just how God works and send his people to help you in them just need it just wonderful I'm just so glad he got protected and praise God [Applause] [Applause] praise God hello everyone I just wanted to share what God my heart lately and what I've been going through in my personal life in the walk with him God put in my heart to tell everybody who maybe just the steps that I'm taking an inscription like walk when I started walking with God I just always thought that God's there we're here out there i'ma church do our thing we leave and what really got me was I was stuck in this in this phase of where I was sinning in my life and I would come to Christ I would repent and I would try by my own by my own strength to keep myself from sinning again and again and that's not how it works honestly when we try to do things about ourselves that are higher than our sin is so it's a powerful thing that some of us didn't mean first of all had a great deal of it was it was hard to get over addictions and stuff like that but um you know God watches over his his children and we every one of us is a child of God and God opened up to me saying that when you walk with me I kind of named in my testimony perfection and in process God was born perfect Jesus I'm sorry Jesus was born he was born of the Spirit and he was he he he walked for as long as he lived 30 33 years off perfectly with no sin and I wondered we can do the same we were not born of the Spirit but we were born with sin but I was wondering how did God how did Jesus walk with with with no sin he and it came to me that honestly he just had a connection with the father that was easier probably for him than us to you know to be connected with him because but every time he came up he came upon something or something came against him he went to the Father he said what do I do how do I do this and he only did things but that he saw the father do whether it was when saying that when Satan try to get him to sin when he was in the and his forty day fast and I'm just thinking okay where Christ lives in us if our body if we if it's so bodily you know it's in your mind your sin whatever it is whatever I had it was both it was my mind it was physical and I was just wondering how why am I still doing this God is in me I believe in him he loves me why do I keep doing this and going to Christ and crying and like stuck in his face that I keep going there and back there and back and God says just seek me because I the more you give yourself to me the more I'm a new when God fills you when he when he's more in you when you invite him because God's not gonna force anything on you he gave us pretty well when when you asked him God okay and I started seeking him God I want more of you show me you I want you and first of all it was hard it wasn't easy it was I had to force myself sit down to read the Bible God how many times have I sat there and read the Bible and nothing came to me it was just this this that's okay I know the story read a thousand times I've heard it but when when God sees that you really seek Him he sees your heart you're like God I can't stop I know it's wrong I know and I started being real I put down my pride and said god this is what I'm at I can't please your you see me I know it's bad but I can't you're in me do something because I by myself I understand that I can't do without you so he started filling me and I started reading the Bible and soon enough it started starting coming to life it started opening and I was sitting there he started transforming my mind and it got interesting I thought Christianity is so boring I have to force myself to come check my attendance and I'm out of here two hours I'm good parents are happy they don't say anything no pressure I'm fine and I go back to my dignity back but honestly God is just he told me he's like youth you seek me and I will you take a step towards me I'll take two towards you and God just filled me and I feel like I'm in the process of perfection when we're walking with Him the more you walk with him the more you seek Him the more he will give to you the less of you you will have in you and more of him and that way when temptations come when you're with your friends or wherever you're at they will be there but they will have no power over you you were just laughing need to be like you know what I've been there I've done that but now I'm not me God is in me God is controlling my life the Spirit is leading me so that's what I've been going through lately and I'm just thinking only you can do this and the Bible gives us examples of people you know people say oh I can't I know I'm gonna sin so why I know I'm gonna do this again that's those people literally or either they haven't really tasted God yet or just they're not with God meaning in the Bible mark chapter 5 is when Jesus comes he was traveling to another place in a boat and he comes off the boat and he says and you and a man comes to him that's filled with an impure spirit it sets the fact that the man could come up to Jesus by his self with being possessed by Allegiant Legion as many that demon this man was possessed and he still had the power to come to Christ demons don't come to Christ they they run from Christ so I feel like if people think that oh I can't do it I'm not good enough I've sinned too much how many times have I sinned and it came to my mind to where I'm sitting there and I'm talking to myself and I'm listening but I just like how could God want me when I don't want me I've sinned so many times I don't even want to be me why I wouldn't accept me because I've done this over I was tired of me going there saying sorry God sorry God sorry God but you fall and you get up when you fall and you get up and says the righteous will fall but they will get up the point they when you get up God sees and he takes a step towards you you're getting up he sees that you don't like it but the point that when you get up he's just like I see your heart that you're trying and eventually the simple way God will heal you God will enter you more and more and then symbol just they'll have no effect on you I don't we can't get stuck in this face God is telling me for my personal walk that you've been stuck in his face down there Farren back when you when I'm warn you you will start seeing different things I will transform your mind when you read the Bible things will open up you will start focusing on me and not more of how I can do this how I can stop this no it's when you start focusing on God more that's when you forget on how oh how can I stop this you start focusing on him and he will put the right desire desires in your heart and then you will just start chasing God on where he's gonna lead you where the Spirit is gonna lead you you're gonna find your calling and then God is just gonna take you here these temptations you're gonna forget about sin you're gonna move on there's gonna be other things other barriers that you're once you move to the next level there's gonna be new barriers new other but you'll have the strength you'll have a new strength you'll have a new mind a transform mind it's not gonna be your body it's not gonna be your thinking oh I can't do it I can't do it I've done it I can't it's gonna be gone like I mean right there just go just do it right there so that's what I've been going through oh I just want to encourage you guys that if your haven't seen God or haven't felt God in a while just first of all you huh come on God wants you to come he gave us the choice God could have just you're gonna serve me because I love you and you don't understand I earned it he gave us a choice it's when you told when you force somebody to do something it's different than when they choose to do it so God gave us the free will just when you do that when you make that choice God not let go you take two steps further towards you I just want to encourage you guys to don't get stuck in the space so how how or when just come to God and let him do you have to come to come you have to say God I want you I know it's wrong I don't feel I haven't felt you the sin is actually I even like this you have to be real you can't hide secrets from God when you go to a doctor you don't tell him my heart hurts but honestly your leg hurts your elbow hurts he's gonna fix this but everything else you can't hide from God God can only help you when you ask him and tell him this and this and this you tell him one thing he'll help but what about the rest so when you come to God no secrets no just be real when you come to God I just want to encourage you guys just if you're not feeling him for a while like I haven't if you haven't just I does desire to be with him it will just flood you you decide the first steps are gonna be hard you're not gonna want to I had to force myself you know but God saw that so I wanted it and he met me there so I just encourage you guys talk about don't give up God is waiting he wants you more than you know and he will be there to meet you nice what's what about the rest right how like this can we have a son and we have a worship song before we're gonna have an and enjoy this time in a few minutes we're gonna hear this sermon brother Paul will share and after that he's gonna dismiss us with the blessings so it's not gonna be for long it's not going forever just enjoy every moment but just worship I just worship together praise His name for all we heard today what's God doing in this Alexandra life and her parents life max was sharing I'm just excited I want to praise worship God I'm no longer hallelujah Lord Jesus [Music] [Applause] [Music] you have to [Music] [Music] hello everybody have you enjoyed yourself you know when I hear young people speak I can't stop grinning because you know the they come from the heart what God has done in their lives and it's kind of amazing to see you know how God transforms young people from just knowing God to actually walking with God I having a personal relationship with him small little small little testimony for myself a little short one when I was I think was maybe 10 or 11 years old and it was in the summer time pretty much like it was a Florida but not as well in Washington it was hot but not as humid and my mom she asked me you know what go ahead and water the plants and you know what 12 year old or I tell you what 13 year old wants to water plants in the middle of summer instead of plane and it was a wonderful day you know so I made a decision you know what I'm gonna do I'm gonna drown every plant I could possibly think so guess what I did i watered and I watered and I watered to the point that I mean it was you know overflowing and I thought you know what I I was obedient I listened to what my mom told me to and you know I thought I'm fine I could go play so you know I put the hose away and I thought I was doing you know what mom's gonna be you know I did my responsibilities and I didn't expect this but my mom came up to me and she goes oh what a I've never seen the plants so watered in my whole entire life and I'm like here we go totally totally opposite and I've learned a lesson at that time obedience is key fast-forward 20 let's say 20 years if you go to my yard right now and you look at my grass it is perfectly green I think today I am finally reaping the benefits of that summertime honestly and I look at the neighbors and you know the neighbors come up to me and they're like what do you do to your grass and not a lot of weed and it's meant perfect you know I'm kind of leading into my sermon today it's you know what obedience I was reading an article in the speaker he said this um trust and obey for there's no way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey do you want um do you want me to tell you what is wrong with an average Christian he do you want me to tell you what is wrong with an average Church it is filled with disobedient people do you want me to tell you what people are not happy in their faith and max it on the head perfectly today and you know they they they're safe but they're endure in and they're enduring it I'm sorry they're enduring it rather than enjoying it they're simply not being obedient if I ask you this question personally and we're gonna look in the UM in the Word of God in a second how obedient are you and I in our lives raise your hand if you read your Bible all week this week we have new people obedience is key and you know what this is a lesson that I've been learning and I was asked to speak tonight and I'm like God what do you want to teach each young person and myself personally what do you require of me and you know it sometimes we've noticed that our walks with Christ get boring we get kind of complicit and we're like what is wrong with it what is what am I missing in my life that I feel I don't have the joy of salvation in me I go through the motions but there's nothing really there and maybe we have to look and see what have we and it could be are you walking in disobedience if you look into your life is it for young people maybe someone was here for the first time or maybe you look at what is Christianity you might ponder yourself oh it's something the people made up to make themselves feel better oh it's something that my mom believes in but for you Christianity God is somebody kind of in la-la land and you don't understand what God is but if you take the step towards him like Mack said he will take a step toward you if you have your Bibles open up to John chapter 3 verse 36 and American Standard Version has it this way he that believes in the son has eternal life but he that what that obeyed him not shall not see life but the wrath of God abides in him and another passage I like to read is John chapter 14 verses 15 through 21 and this is when um jesus promised the Holy Spirit and the verse 15 says if the first thing goes if you love me you will keep my Commandments the first thing of obedience is how can we prove that we love God but you know what by following its commandment and I will ask the Father and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever the Spirit of Truth the world cannot accept him because it neither sees him no North nor knows him but you know him for he lives with you and will will be in you I will not leave you as orphans I will come to you before long the world will never see me again but you will see me because I live in you you also live on that day you will receive you will realize that I am in my father and you are in me and I am in you whoever has my Commandments and keeps them if the one who loves me the one who loves me will be loved by the father and I like the last phrase that talks about here and I too will love them and show myself to him when's the last time you when's the last time Christ showed yourself on himself to you in your life maybe the first problem that we can look at is you know what disobedience we don't believe what God is or who God is or what his award is we think that we know everything we think that you know we are well we could do it on our own and that could get us in trouble but the Word of God says you know if you truly love me you will be obedient the first mistake we as people as Christians we tried to make is you know what we'll put God in a second spot or on 3rd I will do it myself and we've missed the point what God requires of us and he says if you love me you be obedient when I got married you know what I still have this wrong point of view that I thought that the wife should do everything for me for instance let me give you an example we'd be laying in bed honey can you get me a drink and you know what she would always do it and you know why here's an example who loves you more in the relationship in a marriage for the married people how do you know who loves more who in a marriage who serves more the one that loves the one who does more at the one who loves the one who serves and you know I so you know so she would ask me honey get uh and I would be like okay I'm a newlywed and I'm like honey give me a sandwich she'll make me a sandwich no problem yes you know oh please God I have a wonderful wife obedient you know she she follows it and you know what after a while she trusts me goes honey can you give me a you give me a drink and they got me mad yeah because you know what well I'm a guy I'm supposed to be done for me and we treat the same way with our relationship with God when God does everything he he did everything for us and when he got when God says follow my Commandments we turn we get mad when God says don't get into a relationship that will harm you for your future you know what we get upset when God says don't don't go to this but don't be friends with this person don't do this and we're like we get upset and we don't realize it we don't have to obey God because he commands us to do it we do it because out of love and you know what so yes so for the first I'm gonna say maybe six months it bothered me that I would get it for her and I don't like rain and I'm like God how can I be a better husband how could I be more obedient even to my wife and you know what I have six years and this this came to me yesterday we were in bed yesterday and the wife goes honey can you give me something to drink without even a hesitation out of pure love I would get up a hundred times if my wife would ask me to give me a to give me a drink of water obedience is a result out of love not of obligation when you know who God is when you know what Christ has done in your life for you it doesn't matter if the world says do this you will look at what God tells you to do can we say Amen young people if you still live at home it is an obligation it is a requirement for you to be obedient to your parents not every not any young person said in their life right how hard is it um who likes their parents young people raise your hand if you like your friends okay we go not too bad either we're good that hide in it or you know we're richer CH or the church or they're here and you know what push and you know what when I was young I wondered why did God give me the parents and he gave me a single mother was it easy for her probably not and people when they come to me and they're like oh how could you how did you come out the way you are you were raised without a dad you had no kind of that father figure but thank God there was other figures in my life it helped me but you know how did you come out the way you are you should be bitter at the world you should be bitter at the Attic God for allowing you to raised by a single parent but no when you understand that God but parents in your life whoever they are maybe they're good maybe they're bad maybe they're horrible but for some reason God gave them to you specifically because he knew that those are the best parents ditch you as a person and when we understand this that God put parents in our lives whatever they are short short tall small big smart not wise uneducated educated it doesn't matter and the Word of God says Ephesians 6:1 through three children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right honor your mother and father which is the first commandment with what a promise that they may be well with you and that you may enjoy long life on this earth you want to cut yourself 20-30 years short um this will be your mom and dad right now you'll pay for it when you're forty fifth what have God I'm not making it up it is says Oh beating it maybe the young people say why are you picking at us what about mom and dad mom and dad of course our will be the Antichrist for the head of every man is what Christ in the head of every man and the head of every woman is her husband that doesn't mean that you know I'm like I thought I'm gonna I'm gonna be a husband and the wife has to tell do everything you I tell her to do no she's my helper she is the one that helps that supports me and I'm not I shouldn't treat my wife as a as a like a second hand or something mom and dad your relationship will resemble on your kids quite a bit how you walk with Christ how you serve him will ripple effect on your kids and the best example in of her this many times didn't even my in my life I remember you know when I still lived at home I would go down the stairs and out of the corner of my eye I would see mom every morning in her Bible mom and dad that is the best example you could be for your kid when they come over it could be your grandchildren when they get up when they sneak out of the house in the morning when you think they don't see you they do and when they see you that you know what your Bible is open it will make a difference in the long run don't think about it you know they um sometimes I tease myself you know I'm a little bit read a lot about children and they're like you know kids don't remember to uh till they're about five years old after five years old and that's where you really have to be on guard I'm like well Emily's still three more years to get it all right but you know what don't wait til they're five don't wait till they're thirteen to kind of get your relationship and God correct if you do it now if you say God when we're in disobedience in mind is it in my relationship with you do I put you first or that put you last and that's how kids see it and it's hard to believe it but what they learned is from mom and dad and that's maybe for some of us it is you're a good example but maybe for some of us me and Lord I need your help to be a good example for my children it is always time to improve because you know what our God is a gracious God and he helps us and he encourages each one of his children to be faithful maybe you're sitting here and you've come into church and you know what your mom and dad's not a good example or maybe you're a parent and you're and you're thinking to yourself well you know what my relationship with God is not the way it should be where do you go from there you asked the Holy Spirit Holy Spirit teach me guide me and like max today said you know what we have to turn or go back to the basics you know is and we all know what be ible stencil doesn't just fair it doesn't just spell Bible you know what they meant you know what they each words each letters for basic instructions before leaving or simple instructions before leaving Earth well let me ask you this young people when's the last time you and I rather basic instructions when's the last time we got into our prayer meeting into a prayer closet and really really you know turn to God says god I need you I need I know I fell down six times but you know what your word says that I will get up when you're obedient and maybe you know some of you here send I'm sitting here especially young people you know what maybe nobody's actually introduced you to Christ before I remember this day actually my mom didn't bring me to Christ talking isn't I'll tell you who did it and maybe mom's first time hearing this when I was like 10 years old in the youth knows this I had a friend named bill bill was a older Christian American guy and you know what I thank God for wonderful Christian American speaking people because bill brought me to Jesus I still remember this day I still remember when he gave me this question have you accepted Christ into your life and you know what I remember this game like it's imprinted into my mind I know where we were at we were driving on highway 5 in New York in Seattle it was sprinkling and I still have visually see that drops on the window and you know what I had a choice to make their OB obedient to what the Holy Spirit was asked asking me to do or not and he turned to me and said Paul and I'm turning to everybody here it doesn't matter maybe you grow you've raised you've been raised in a Christian family but you know I think like I'm a bandwagon you've been going to church all this time nobody's asked you this question have you accepted Christ as your own personal Savior and you know what I turned away because I didn't see him I don't I didn't want him to see me crying and that's when I turned around and I was looking into the window and I said Jesus come into my life I'm gonna speak to her you know American people who are watching us American people you know yes it is wonderful to have people that truly serve God to be an example for a ten-year-old who just came from a different of Soviet Union we didn't go there was a freshman who didn't even know what truly got is for me he was a wonderful example how to be obedient to the Holy Spirit transitioning to my last point and we're gonna be concluding is what is it the Holy Spirit asking you to do today young people maybe you're hearing it for the first time and you're like man god I've been disobedient for the last six months of this year I haven't been listening to what God what you were trying to tell me we're gonna be praying in a couple of minutes and maybe you need a prayer or maybe you need a rededication says God I'm a bad parent you know maybe I don't share enough my not that I'm a bad parent I just don't share my faith enough with my children and this is a time when we get together and we ask God please help me and I know we have a wonderful couple I've been to a family here in our church you know and I and I peek at the - one of them have a calendar in theirs in there on their wall and you see how many chapters a day mom reads how many chapters a day reads and you know so I see you know dad and 10 chapters a day what kind of obedience do we show it to mom and dad to our children young people life is way too short the more you're beating it fewer now you will reap it in the future you know what you can see how people acted and when they were younger because they will reap it when they're older the people who are disobedient that you know what mom and dad you your old school I don't need your God and they choose a life of this world and unfortunately by thirty five forty to realize that their life has been ruined that they they walk the wrong wrong path is there still hope absolutely there's always everybody but why waste those years of disobedience mom and dad why waste the precious years that we have our children with us to be a good good example of how we should be obedient to God is because they kids learn from us from us as parent and if we do our part even if we do everything right yes a child has their own free will and they make their own choices but I believe God help and he brings those people back only when we're faithful when we're obedient to his word last comment I would like me before we pray maybe right now the Holy Spirit is talking to you what does it say to you it's that small little wisp no maybe I need to improve my relationship with God first maybe I have to spend a little bit time with God instead of Facebook instead of Instagram instead of maybe in the yard like you know I'm getting a little bit you look maybe spending too much time and my green grass but you know what when we're obedient to him everything comes into harmony and we've noticed God my life is a little bit boring let us stand and maybe you're thinking God or Lord my life is boring I'm in this front I don't know what to do and if that's you or maybe you've never asked Jesus to come into your life you know come up with the author raise your hand we will pray for you we'll ask God to help each one of us to encourage us to give us the strength to be obedient to him in every aspect in every sphere in our lives and then we will see how the joy how the peace and when we walk into this world people will know they were different because you know what can we say Amen let us pray Heavenly Father we come before your holy spirit we thank you for everything that you have done for us we thank you for the service where we can come to you and learn how we sometimes neglect our obedience to you because we get prideful or maybe we don't see the purpose for it and lord I ask you for your forgiveness and I ask you for your mercy for first of all for us as parents maybe we neglect our responsibility sometimes that we think it will pass but if we Lord let us be in guard to be a good example to our children to be exempt for people who look up there was you know that you are true God and you want Fubini it's not out of obligation but out of pure love Heavenly Father I ask you for any of the young people here maybe they have a bad relationship with their mom and dad maybe they have a worse relationship with you because of disobedience lord I ask you by your Holy Spirit encourage every young person to make a decisions today today from now on not by my own strength but because of who you are Jesus I come to you in obedience and I give myself to you fool fully I'm not hiding anything and you will start to change our lives to be more like you you'll soften your hearts Lord I ask you for your protection Lord I ask you for your guidance for every young person here I thank you for everything that you have done in our lives and I thank you and I ask you by your grace by the Holy Spirit Lord teach us to walk in humbly humbleness and obedience we thank you for everything that you have done we ask you for your mercy and your protection during this week wherever we go and work cool hello John let us be obedient first to you and to show to cheer the gospel for those people that you have set in our lives because they were there for a reason and we ask in Jesus name thank you beautiful beautiful while the worship team will be a we're gonna sit in the worship
