to a conference yesterday in northport and the preacher was talking one of his topics was about the about mary in the bible how she when she kneeled before jesus and poured the alabaster perfume on his feet he was just explaining to us how when mary was breaking this jar of oil she was she was breaking her future her reputation everything she has everything she would look forward to anything that anybody might plan for their life she broke it had his feet as a act of worship and in this song um it talks about giving everything we have to jesus about giving us here's my life lord a sacrifice just to bless you i freely give it all to you and it just reminded me of this act of worship that mary did for jesus and jesus said everybody will know what she did for me and just i want to encourage everybody to offer yourself to jesus in this song breaking that jar of oil at his feet as an act of worship and so that everything that we may have stored in our hearts anything that might be above god in our thoughts or unintentionally just to break it at his feet and offer everything we have to him as a sacrifice [Music] jesus jesus precious [Music] [Applause] that i have found more lords god and we are here in this place to glorify your name we are here in this place to lift you on high to exalt you jesus and it is you who sits on the throne above all things above all creation god we thank you so much for your precious blood that was spilled for us we thank you for the cross and we thank you for what you have done and what you continue to do in our lives jesus and we ask you that by your holy spirit you come to us in in your power in in in and to begin to touch our hearts god in this service that every testimony that is shared every word that is spoken everything that is done here let it be for your will let it be led by your spirit and let let your will be done in this place god let hearts be transformed let the holy spirit through the holy spirit healing come jesus i ask in your mighty name allah i ask you jesus be be here in your overwhelming presence let us feel your embrace your love your grace and your mercy in jesus name i pray amen so take your seats we will be um thank you worship band for our band one day it'll be abandoned right now we have a group so they're already they're already working on it so hopefully in the next couple you know meetings we have we will have a a live band so i've heard i've heard a little bit of uh you know rumors going around that they're working on you know getting the the hidden talents that are you know hiding all over the youth trying to pull them out you know piano players guitar players and stuff so that would be a great blessing that you know one day we can have spontaneous sets of worship i mean it'd be in my heart's desire i don't know about everybody else but so uh thank you guys thank you for always you know being prepared ready to serve and lead us in worship and as we all know on this time coming up we will be doing testimonies so i'm gonna have david he's gonna lead us in in this and so david you can make your way up here praise praise god everybody yes god is good um you know it's really truly good when you can feel and tell that the holy spirit is working in your life amen you know when you can tell that you are where the holy spirit wants you to be and that is where we get our biggest testimonies is in our life when god is using us how he wants to use us not when we try to do something with our own efforts but when we know god is behind it when we know god is there for us you know interceding for us working through us using us and i would just like you know this time to be for first of all the glory of god uh so that we would just continue worshiping him in this time you know continue to worship his name and what he is able to do in our lives and through this through these testimonies we are able to you know just praise his name because of how good he is to us and so that we would also be able to you know uplift each other one uh one another you know it gives god the glory and it helps all of us around so that we see that our church these people that we have around us so that we see the living church the living god moving within us so i would like to invite anybody that has any testimonies right now to just you know raise your hand or come on up and right now is just an open mic time if anybody has anything to share you know uh this is your time right now if god is putting something on your heart right now is your time hi my name is edward and i want to be a pastor so does that does anyone take lessons uh pastor lessons okay so that's what i wanted to say i i wanted to be a pastor well so we came from pennsylvania which is uh a couple two days up from here so we go to a different church so this is uh you know so i can't take lessons here i have to take lessons over at pennsylvania at my church which is best because i want to be a pastor because you know sometimes it's fun it's uh you see different people you go to meetings all that good stuff here don't run away edward come here come here i would just like to pray for him real quick you know it's good to see this desire in a young man's heart you know let's just everyone get up on our feet real quick and you know stretch out your hands and bless him bless him for his future ministry that what god's will on his life so that he would be able to touch hearts lord jesus we thank you for this young man god we thank you for his desire that you have put on his heart god holy spirit we pray that you continue working on him continue blessing him and his ministry god so that you would lead him lord and so that you would use him as a vessel god so that he would just be able to share your word to all those around him so that his life would just be a testimony to all those around him god so that he would be able to touch their hearts so that he would be able to show your glory in his life and your love god so that through him you would shine jesus and so that everyone would just know who you are in jesus name amen and so as we continue in this open mic time if anybody has just raise your hand i would just like to talk a little bit about what eliana shared you know she was talking in worship and she was saying how you know just give it all to god you know a lot of us went to this conference youth conference and it was a very beneficial conference it was very edifying and as we were there in prayer standing a brother came up to me and he said you know he said the holy spirit moves in all of us and we just we can't be afraid we need to take the step of faith this leap of faith and just trust in god and you know it's very important for all of us to have this trust you know when we just when we just give it all to god when we just surrender everything and we have this trust you know that's when god truly uses us that's when we truly have these testimonies in our lives of god moving so if anybody else has anything else you know over the past month maybe you haven't been with us before whatever god has been you know it doesn't have to be big it could be small something but as long as you feel that god is moving in your life you know whatever god is doing you know it doesn't have to be you know necessarily you healing somebody some miraculous works you know it could be something that god's doing in your school or in your ministry or just in your everyday life i saw i had a hand raised with uh coming up amy hello everyone okay so one thing i realized is whenever you keep hearing the same thing over and over from different sources people radio everything you usually take it to part like wait maybe this is god trying to talk to you so i guess before i forgot i forgot what it was for like before what it was but now what's been being spoken to me is putting god priority number one that's what's been being spoken to me recently sorry my words are coming out correctly um and also putting uh giving away all your fears to god giving away all your doubts fears everything to god and letting him take over your life or lead your life and that's one thing that's been coming up every single day from multiple people multiple sources and that's i guess this is a way of speaking to me um i wanted to i wish i went to the sir um the conference yesterday because i feel like that would have been really good to hear i'm probably gonna watch it on youtube right but one thing i've realized is with the fear i had a lot of like fear of what am i doing something right am i going the direction god wants me to go and um like what exactly is going to go on in this world what's going to happen stuff like that and one thing and then i started living i started letting god take my fears away started because i was with god but i'm growing more now because of i wasn't putting him priority or putting him first and one thing that i was going off of is the armor of god and um it's the helmet of salvation the breastplate of righteousness the sword of the spirit bill of truth shoes of peace and shield of faith and that's been helping um get through things that we get attacked with in everyday world where christian people who are trying to live in the word of god in god's footsteps with sin everything temptations all around us and we need to trust god that he will lead us in the right path bring us to the right places and let us or do what he wants us to do in life and i i believe that living by the armor of god is a good way of if anybody has struggle of if they're doing the right thing or if they feel like something's attacking them or that you the armor of god is a good way to remind yourself to let god take control oh and i think i forgot the belt of truth no i said that and there's a lot one thing i realized there's a lot of lies in this world a lot and i personally like lies every day the more you think about it the more you think about all the ungodly things in this world like it's that but you need to think about the godly things in this world open your eyes open your eyes to your surroundings what is godly and what we need to help like um there is i was listening to joy fm i always listen on the way back and from work and sometimes it lets me open my eyes to people around me the um like the homeless guy on the bench and how much he's a child of god we should treat him as our brother or sister or whatever um i'm sorry i'm getting off track here well what i wanted to say is let god take your fears and you might feel like sometimes you are not going the right way you might feel like sometimes you're making mistakes or you're just doing something totally wrong for your life but you need to let all of that go to god pray on it fast anything you need because god jesus fasted for 40 days and he got tempted by the devil or the devil tried to tempt him but he still refrained from it but and then usually if we fast it makes it clearer for us more clear of what god wants us to do so i feel like just every like here's um i want to read you a verse real quick and i'm done hold on sorry um and then with the reading let's be in contact with god it says for the word of god is alive and active sharper than any double-edged sword it is penetrates even the dividing soul of the spirit joints and mirror it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart hebrews 4 12. so that says that the word of god will help you um fight or the word of god will help you um fight your [Music] the hardest battles and it is the truth and it's what you need to live off of to get through get to what god wants you to do and to really reel the truth to everyone else in this world so thank you thank you amy i think this is a very good encouraging word for all of us you know it's very good for all of us to take something from this and apply it in our lives you know she was saying how she's really trying to work on you know trusting god and all her fears you know putting him number one and i think that's something a lot of us could work on because it's very difficult to put god first in our lives because that's something when god is first that's something we can't control we just have to have that trust and that's what we're afraid of that we can't control the outcome we just have to have that trust and i think that's something very important for all of us to put god first in our lives because you know many of us you know have jobs hobbies you know careers school and you know many days during the week you know this might be our priority in our life this might be what what is always constantly on our mind what we're thinking of you know trying to improve and i think it's very important for us to you know put first put that trust in god to have that faith in him and then everything else will be given unto us that's such a good encouraging word and i would just like to invite if anybody else has any testimonies you know what god is doing in their life we have taras but anybody else what god is doing in your life yeah i just wanted to share shortly um we're going to have more time for everyone else whoever has the desire but i just wanted to kind of touch on uh the conference yesterday the it was nick gajchal that shared for those of you that were there know and those that weren't i just wanted to share a point or i mean i guess it's it's to summarize the second sermon um on saturday i i uh you know it's it's something that you know i have in my heart already and to hear him preach it and especially to the youth the next generation it really um you know meant a lot to me and i just wanted to kind of touch on that here so he talked about how how much we as christians need the power of god and the the demonstration of that power the revelation of that power where it's not just you know how like what we say you know and and we're acting christian and you know doing christian things and going to church and all you know all of these uh you know normal christian tasks i guess you could say but but to actually see the power of god demonstrated and he was he was saying how how there are people you know out in the world that are going through all kinds of things and they just need you know a little bit just a little bit of that light that you're carrying a little bit of that you know the presence of of god the holy spirit that is within you and and just that simple revelation of of who god is to them can be life-changing he can completely restore he mentioned restoring marriages families you know healing and he shared many different examples even one of the examples was that made him realize how important it was was he shared a um an example with his his son was about five six years old and he said that uh you know his son did something wrong he got in trouble uh he got upset with him and you know he went to his room was crying or whatever and then then the son comes back to to to him and says you know dad i'm really upset at myself i can't believe i'm doing you know i'm acting so bad and he said i just want to you know uh hurt myself like i want to cut myself and uh and he was just like whoa like he he never expected something like that from you know from someone in his own house he thought you know him being a pastor leader you know he's like how is this possible that you know the the devil's attacking my own family through through my son's thoughts you know and he said he realized like him and his wife got together and they you know made it uh a thing to pray for their son for the next like two weeks until he finally you know showed to them that he kind of you know let go of that you know uh you know that feeling to of of guilt and just shame you know over over his behavior i guess you could say and what it made him realize is that if it's making itself known within his own family imagine how i guess you could say hungry and thirsty the rest of the world is for the goodness of god for grace for mercy for the power of the holy spirit for you know for for what i mean even jesus when jesus came he brought the kingdom and in the kingdom he did not just talk about it he demonstrated it he you know through love through forgiveness through healing through deliverance you know and and through his teachings he taught us you know you put the light where where it can be seen not under you know all of these principles and i really like that he that he made it um you know he made it clear in his word that we as christians need to begin to step out with that we need to find ways to you know to use what god has given us and and filled us with and not you know hide it or just you know i forgot exactly the way he said it but like you know instead of it being in the building to it for it to actually go out that doors because if it's in the building for 10 years you know what i mean it's there's nothing you know there's nothing actual there's no shift happening but when you go out into the world where people are walking in darkness and and you know evil principalities are ruling then the power of god and the light of god could actually make an effect onto onto the world that we live in and bring people into the kingdom of god so i mean that was really encouraging for me to hear and it's just something that i personally you know it's a desire on my heart and then my encouragement would be for like all of us you know to to just ask god and ask the holy spirit to kind of you know renew our minds and to give us like a you know help us kind of develop a lifestyle to truly be you know effective christians and to be led by the spirit and to allow the holy spirit to you know to use us and our talents and our gifts to actually bring you know dying hurting you know people walking in darkness and bring them into the kingdom of god you know to through through the revelation let's let god's presence radiate from us in a way so that people could could recognize him and his love and his grace and mercy through us so that's that's just what i kind of wanted to share and david you can take that on from here that's very important for us to you know have this you know ha ha seeing the spirit move within us and i just wanted to share a little bit on to that share a short testimony you know of our church our youth you know the people in our church and it's very interesting you know our youth is going through this time right now where you know our youth pastor is already you know uh getting a little older he's stepping away moving into young couples ministry and we're having a new youth pastor come and you know people would say you know the youth might be maybe falling apart a little you know people aren't as together as much but you know through all of this you still see god's hand moving you know we have two main conferences that we go to with our youth one is in february in jacksonville we go every year and then in november this time that we just went to northport and something already inch very interesting that i noticed the past two conferences that our youth went to you know they are uh christian conferences where you know young people from all over get together and our youth usually tries to attend stick together as a group kind of like a family you know we know one another we're like a family so that you know just look out for one another and when we went to uh the first conference in february in jacksonville there was this one young man that you know he met up with us on the first day of the conference you know someone in our youth knew him and you know he was just kind of hanging out around us a lot you know he came with some other people but he was just hanging out around our group of people and later on that night when we went to the place where we we're staying you know he asked the chaperone that was with us you know can i stay with you guys he had another place that he was supposed to stay at with his friends but he just wanted to you know stay with our people i guess that our youth our youth young people were so friendly that he just wanted to stick around us and we're like okay as long as you know you're christian and you won't bring anything bad you can stay with us so he came with us stayed the night next day we go to the conference again and again he's just sticking around us the entire day and i was like that's unusual maybe maybe he just you know got had some really good friends in our our youth group and then this conference comes around and yesterday again we meet another another person and again he goes to their church you know he has friends there in their church you know there it's a big church there's a whole bunch of young people you know you can have so many new friends you can go talk to whoever you want but this young man again he meets our youth and he's just kind of circu circulating around our youth you know kind of getting to know everybody and at the end of this conference he told us as we were leaving we were hanging out with him and he's like man your guys youth is so cool he's like you know you guys are just like so accepting and so friendly you know he said you can basically kind of feel this love and that's kind of what god has been working in my life you know the love of jesus how good do we portray his love to those around us how good do we show jesus's love to those in our life you know do people want to be around us because we love them not just because we're called christians but because we show it with how we live we show it to those around us do they want to you know you know be with these people not you know many people see christians as oh they're going to be strict they're going to make me follow all these rules and i don't want to be with them but on the other hand if we have jesus's love if we have the holy spirit working in us then you know these people will want to be with us because we have jesus living inside of us and i think that's just just so important for all of us to realize and um if anybody else has a testimony brother peter i know has a testimony can i have on the screen the invitation we have for tonight thanksgiving yes yes thank you as you know yes tonight is a special night at the end of the year we count all the blessings god given to us you know as you know my family and i we go through the tough time that was a tough and then it gets worse and it's get easier but it's all this time it was a hard to really concentrate and say what i'm thankful for tell us sunday when i translate pastor court there was a two pastor standing on the platform have one better than another one and they just share and he was share his life where he's thanks all for and i look at him i said oh my goodness i'm not that bad i was like it's just so encouraged me and he was right next to me that the depreciation in his heart was radiated i don't know how you feel on the back roll on the front row probably more stronger but here at the platform it was so obvious so the next time i encourage you move close so you can receive the lots of blessings when you any time in the church and i know this to the god has a good plans and exactly uh three months and 10 days today was my lovely wife went to the lord and i know a lot of stuff you just don't understand why is me and my family will go through the tough time and sometimes as you go through the valley and people want to see you they don't know how to sometimes encourage you they don't know what to say and i get it i feel this you know warm feeling from the people support when they do stuff without even say the words but it's so nice and i'm so thankful for this whatever happens this year but so thankful that god sustained us as a family sustained me he gave me the ability get up in the morning and walk and my son benjamin shared with me said dad don't you think it's so blessings you get up in the morning you have a br breath in you and you in your in your in your nose risk and you can go to work and you can do stuff you have healthy and i said thank you that was so encouragement sometimes we forgot but tonight i want to just count all the blessings yes it is sometimes you go go through the valley you feels like you lost the gps somebody asked me peter how you doing all this time you know sometimes not many people approach it with a question they don't know what they're gonna answer this but i look at and i said you know when you drive on the highway and sometimes you lost a signal and your gps said recalculate recalculate what do you do you're still driving you can't stop on the highway you was hoping that signal will go to come back to you in time before you make the next turn so this is the kind of stuff but still through all this time if i be honest i want to say i see the god's hands on my family i see the god's hands with us it would be sin against god if i'm gonna not really realize that and it will not gonna give you glory to god tonight i want you to count all the blessings and just think what's god have for me in the future some people will say well when you go through the valley tell me how's it i said listen i never see anybody who speak about the valley the only one they come out of diwali they can talk you know once again once upon a time what's happened this and this when they start writing the books only then they're going to tell about the value but when you go through diwali you don't carry the pencil with you it's so hard it's so inconvenient you just go through you know we was went uh i had i've been we've been blessed i've been blessed my family been blessed we've been invited with my friend go visit the yellow leaves my wives always like to see the yellow lips and this year we actually went to see the yellow lips but she was not available to go with us but we saw the yellow lips you know as we go to this trip which was with kind of design or like was planned was my friend who said just come and i planned the way and i was trust him completely we went to one place in west virginia i believe can i have a picture on the screen i just had it you know it is a four thousand meters what name of the place was top top top some kind of top if you see at the top of the mountains here we go sharp top mountains if you ever want to go that way it's so hard to walk we was about to drive halfway but we missed the bus and we ended up to walk they say it's only a mile and a half oh boy as we go through this all kind of cree all kind of climb them up hiking to this to this stony road you know so many times i was walking i looked myself i looked to my my daughter i looked all the people who was around us the youngest one went without she was two and a half my friend constantine younger's daughter victoria and when i look at them and i said to myself i'm not sure if i'm going to make it i'm probably going to camp or somebody from our team will probably give up and it would be good good reason for me to turn around they said well i'll just you know wait no just look we can't go any further so you know what i did i just said i saw the mark i said i'll just go to that corner to that point to that little mountain to the hillside and i'll see if i can make it to another one so basically i break my pass into the small sections and i just go one section after another one section after another if sure enough in a couple hours me and my daughter rafaela will stay there it was a look at this guy face look at those faces as a tiredness but a true joy we made it we came to the we conquered that rock we stay on the top of it if you look if you step back three feet there is a cliff yes but it's so joy and i i kind of want to say thank you lord for all this tough time maybe one day i will be on that on that top point but right now we're still climbing i know everybody climbing through this stuff but as i know what the lord teach me is just talk while you're in the valley just find a way to find a reason to say thank you it's easy be victorious when you pass but it's important when you go through the still people want to see the can you say thank you lord can you say thank you jesus when you're in a tough time i'm still on the journey i know that one of the bible verses this comes to my mind my wife lily will always love that one it's hold her always in her place jeremiah 29 11. this is only i know the plans for you plans to prosper i like this english trans trans translation to prosper can i may allow to translate into the rusher the lord said so and they give you the hope and the future so i encourage every one of you to find the reason in distance given praise and worship night final reason to say thank you lord whatever i'm going through i know you wait for me on other side i know you will help me i know maybe it's just one more step maybe one more breath but this will be the time when i'm gonna stay on the top of the mountains i spread my hands like a wings and i will catch the fresh fresh wind i will fly that's the my encouragement for this i glorify the god yes i'm still on the journey i don't know yet what's going to be tomorrow but looking back i see the god already help and bless me thank you for this and i'm so thankful for this before i will before i'm going to lose this microphone i have a question to david in the katya i know you're on the way to the bible college isn't it why i like to pray for you can you come over here i will ask you one more question today we saw that eddie was here he said i want to be a pastor it was him so why how old are you today 19 katya so it's not why because he sent you because he cannot keep eye on the no it's more than that right why are you going well i decided to go to you know smbs slavic missionary bible school because as we're talking about it you know give your life to jesus and you know there's nothing more important than you know growing spiritually with god and i just feel like right now is the time in my life you know where on my path you know just give up however long we're going for these six months you know devote it all to jesus and just put all my trust in him for my future that he's giving me okay so i have a couple of reasons um so first i like what i want to you could say get out of the bible school i really want to just like find out how to like hear god's voice in my life because i know it's different for everybody but i just want to like learn like what works for me like i just want like to have that constant like fellowship with god you could say and i just like that's for me personally and i also i just want to see what god wants to do with my life i just want to go there just kind of like find myself in god like find my identity in christ because here at the church i mean i do little missions like here and there i'm in the sunday school i'm in photography like little worship i do little things but i don't know like what god wants me to like pursue fully like and that's what i'm kind of i'm just there to find out more thank you for your honor censors thank you for this listen i know we're going to miss you taras are we going to miss him so who's going to help you to lead these evenings yeah but we'll i'll see so you're not that much not replaceable i thought they said no david we need you yes but it's not what i like to hear as i know you say right i know answer is right i know i know answer is right don't get me wrong but i'm just trying to say be on a side we're going to miss you what i'm trying to say when we give it's probably just most important time right now we just figured out we just kind of we're just going to figure out the david's in the place right and you just disappear you know i'm so excited that you go i know it's a lot of stuff you need to put on the on on the plate i know you might be they'll think about career right make the money go to school for assault for yukata right you graduate from high school right is you but in the same time you're going to lose six months then mission trips so almost a one year is going to be flying out of the life right for what investment in the kingdom that's so excited i know it's going to be some financial uh some um some financial side you need to you you need to come up with right so i'm encouraged i want to pray for you right now i want to encourage you i want to thank god that is the two people from our church without anybody push desire from you you wanna you wanna spend next almost a year just dedicate to the lord work i'm so excited i wanna pray and we and i just wanna let you know on the december 12th we're planning to have a missionary service in our church that's going to be probably the last one so on that service of course i'm really praying that with the whole church we'll uh pray for you will bless you we're going to turn this into that that missionary service event is a two young people actually going to be dedicate themselves to serving the lord and starting in the bible school i would like to pray for you it's a lot is everything's ready you're back because when is the time to start for you during the third so you're gonna be christmas new year and all this stuff is everything's in place did you pack yourself did you get all your money i was just uh just application bill being accepted accepted but there's a lot of stuff to prep right yet how about we're going to pray for you they pray for you so december 12 will be a blessed missionary service the church will pray and bless you that you will be prepared people will be prepared that everything needs to be done will be in place i don't want to miss that opportunity i want to pray that god's provision in god's vision will follow in you or lead you you follow how about that you follow god's vision and provision will follow in you did i say right in this god's vision will lead you and god's provision will follow in you let's stand up and pray and bless these people lord jesus i pray for david i pray for katya today you heard that's the edict you want to be a pastor he just said this so boldly so flat so straight he said i want to be a pastor father you know that you david and katya they're going to the bible school father i pray that all the preparation whatever you start in their life and the desire to dedicate this next year six months at least plus just for you lord for your work lord jesus i pray bless and prepare that finalize all the stuff which is not figured out in their lives father in jesus name i know you have a plans for david for katya plans not to harm but plans to give them prosperous blessings father i pray that everything will be in place special one we're gonna when we're gonna pray for them at a december missionary service bless the hearts of the people they will be uh they will be open to blessed they will be open to to give they will open to amid their everything needs they needed to go to the college to the school in jesus name i pray most importantly i pray lord jesus that david and katya both of them individually each one of them they will just rely on you completely trust you father in jesus name i pray that what that whatever they decided make that uh establish that make that put a seal your seal on it so they will be come back with a was a good report it will be will be that will be resolved in the fruit and the life in jesus morning service so many of you have heard um he he's gonna be sharing in the main message with us today and david um both of you guys i'm i will genuinely be missing you guys 100 i'm glad you guys are going because you know you're going to come back stronger hopefully wiser and you know you know whatever yeah whatever whatever you learn there it's definitely going to be of a benefit to us in our church and our youth so i'm thankful for that and like i said the other guys they're going to have to step up they're not going to have a choice so you know that's that's just that just is what it is so dan tony mark you know whoever's here you guys you guys are gonna just you know ask god to give you kiwi yeah raise his hand he's like i'm up next date my brother's leaving and i'm next in lines but yeah so brother you can come up and uh you know time is all yours [Music] okay sounds good well it's it's amazing to be here with you guys tonight um i used to be a youth pastor for about 12 years this kind of brings me back to those days it reminds me of those good happy times as a youth pastor um this is a special time for us as well and uh visiting our friends the bajan family we're here uh kind of like half business half to spend time with them and they've been great hosts you guys know that they know how to do it right so i'm gonna have to lose five pounds at least when i come home in addition to the 35 that i need to lose yet um so tonight is your uh the topic of tonight is is um what what do we have to thank god for what blessings do we have and um i thought god put this on my heart to talk about this topic that i'm gonna share and this is all going to be focused on what is it that we have received from god i mean everything we're talking tonight about is what have we gotten from god to us so the whole night is going to be wow we got this we got that we got this so many things to be thankful for so this is what i want to focus on the name of the topic tonight is what is your name i promise you it's not going to be long less than three hours so maybe two i was told 20 minutes when you're a pastor then you can preach so get comfy all right one of my most favorite movies probably came out some 20 25 years ago seems like just yesterday but the time flies and it's called the gladiator how many how many of you saw the movie so everyone's like yeah i did too um you know this is a movie about the the the roman general this was set in like 200 a.d or 250 a.d something like that i don't remember the year but this roman general maximus uh that essentially was treacherously betrayed and they killed um the emperor's son killed the emperor and then killed his family and he became a slave that became a gladiator and at the kind of like crux of the movie there's the scene where uh on the arena maximus the former generator and generator general the former general uh leads they have these war games in the arena and he's supposed to lead the barbarian horde and supposed to be defeated by the roman legions other gladiators were supposed to kill all of them in the arena but him being the general and experienced uh the you know how to run the battles properly they have this scene where he gets on the horse and kind of kill the roman legion and the barbarian horde wins so the emperor once says i want to go down i want to meet this gladiator it goes down to the arena and you know the the roman praetorian guard surrounds the arena to protect the the emperor and he says slave what is your name what is your name and the most powerful part of the movie is when maximus turns around takes off his face his um what is it called the helmet there's a professional word for that i can think of it whatever the you know to protect his face turns around and says my name is maxima cervelius i'm the former general of the nor commander of the armies of the north and it sends a shiver down your spine i know this is like on youtube there's video clips of this because this is like the powerful moment when you're looking at a slave who looks like a slave he's an arena to be a slave turns out he is a real thing he has a real identity that is much beyond being a slave he's a talented general who has victories behind his name and his name means something victorious he's not just an empty shell not just a slave even though he is in that role right now but in his heart on the inside he has a different identity i wanna see if this works am i supposed to point it up so this way the name that we have i mean each one of you has a name and you have a last name you have a first name uh back in the day then the first name was giving a lot more significance you know when when kids named when the parents named uh their children they put a lot of significance into what that name is in especially in the bible days the name meant a lot of things but even to this day the last name carries a ton of significance you have last name batajan stashak and murzah and all these reznik right that's us introduce me as kreznick in the morning but it's resnick i know kresnics are bad resnicks are better i think so the the name has a lot of still a lot of significance because it attaches you it gives you the identity it gives you well you are the son or the daughter of this family you belong to them i know in church um when peter just came to our church um i forgot when but uh maybe a year or two ago you were in our church and you're looking at the kids running around what is your name what family do you oh you're the lumus family oh you're the son of such and such and such you know the name ties you to your family tree in the old days the name tied you to a title you could be prince you could be you could belong to a royal family and you did not have any accomplishments yet there's nothing you've done but you already carry a title of account you have a title of a duke your duke's son you have not have zero accomplishment to your name but you already have a significance because of the title conferred to you by the name gives you a position of influence the name a lot of times also signifies certain accomplishments in your family achievements birthrights allegiance you know when when the royal families had wars with each other the the lancasters against the yorks back in the english day 100-year war and the lancasters would win sometimes the yorks would win sometimes if you're of the dynasty of lancasters i mean forget it the yorks will never accept you because your name is lancaster you're not york the way of your what is your identity when you think about who am i what does my identity mean i would say the way you view yourself defines the way you understand yourself the way you understand who you are as a person defines the patterns of your behavior attitudes and actions in school there are certain kids and you guys have all experience that get bullied all the time by other people and then they would ask why do people bully me well part of the way you view yourself you identify yourself somehow attracts that negative attitude of other people towards you other people you know they feel like i'm the king of the world they have nothing they've done to deserve being the king of the world but it's part of their identity and they act like it and other people treat them like a king of the world your identity causes other people to alter their actions and attitudes towards you the way you feel about yourself the way you understand who i am as a person as an individual allah makes people other people change the way they treat you that's why if you get bullied by other people the way you can change it is by start not feeling like a loser you you have to change your identity who change the way you look at yourself as yourself the way they look at who you are as an individual and other people will follow suit your identity this is the most important point here changes or encourages or discourages certain levels of achievement because of the way you see yourself will either allow you and propel you to an achievement in whatever it is in ministry in business uh in family life your identity will either allow yourself to get there or will will disallow you from getting there isaiah chapter 43 verse 1 2 verses 1 and 2. i i do want to say the most important thing we have to think of it where do i draw my identity from how do i know that i am what i am and the best place to go is to think what does god look at me as what does god see me as what does he think of me isaiah 43 1-2 but now thus says the lord who created you o jacob and he who formed you o israel fear not for i have redeemed you i have called you by your name you are mine see if you're born of a royal family and you called by a royal name there's certain pride that goes with it i'm a prince i'm a song of a king i'm a song of duke i'm a summer account whatever the title is here comes god that says fear not i have called you by your name your mind see that changes things a little bit when god calls you by your name it takes you up from nothing to being a prince to being a son of god when you pass through the waters i will be with you and through the rivers they shall not overflow you when you walk through the fire you shall not be burned first peter chapter 2 verses 17 18 says but you are a chosen generation a royal priesthood a holy nation his own special people that you may proclaim the praises of him who called you out of darkness and into his marvelous light who once were not a people i love this who once were not a people you're nobody's wants not even the people but are now the people of god who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy ephesians 1 chapter chapter 1 verses 5 through 7 just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before him heaven predestined us to adoptionist sons by jesus christ to himself according to the good pleasure of his will and then the final verse i want to read here ephesians chapter 1 verse 5. long ago even before he made the world god loves us loved us and chose us in christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes here's what we're reading here we are chosen special elite people i just want to let it sink in if you've been chosen by god and the bible says you are a chosen generation special people you are an elite part of society in god's eyes that title has been conferred to you by god himself you are a person of god a man of god or a woman of god someone that god called you called his own in his sight doesn't matter how you feel how sinful you may feel if if you have repented if you have came and gave your life to jesus and accepted his identity into into your life in his sight you're holy and blameless you are as if the sin has never existed as if the sin has never separate separated you from god god looks at you and says you're holy and blameless nothing to blame for you're wiped clean your identity is now concealed in me and don't let whatever junk or trash or wrongs you have done in your life in the past don't let that drag you down because you are holy and blameless in his sight you know one of the most difficult things to do in life is to forgive yourself it's much easier to forgive other people if you have done horrible things which all of us to a degree have done sometimes it's even hard to forgive the stupid things you say sometimes you'll say stupid things to people like in a conversation and then it would help me for years i would see that person and i go oh my gosh i can't believe i said that and it's hard to forgive forgive yourself or things you've done the horrible things god has forgiven you but it's still holding your identity because you don't believe in god's forgiveness you're holy and blameless sometimes we have to pound this into ourselves i'm holy and blameless holy and blameless you know what the word righteousness means righteousness means it's the right standing with god it's having the right to stand in god's presence as if sin has never existed in your life that's righteousness and that's what christ gives us he says i'm giving you that right to be whole and blameless and stand in my presence just like adam did before sin even existed now you're blameless you have the right to stand in my presence because i wiped you clean you're a son and daughter of god we're so used to hearing that in church all of us i think most of us who how many grew up in a christian home here all right most of us here so we're so used to hearing this sometimes we don't sounds of god yeah daughters of god you know but my goodness the we look at the stars and they're billions of light years away this is how big the universe is it takes billions of years for that light to come here so we could see it and god our father our dad we're saying that song right after in between our services in the group about our daddy uh you know pour out more for us more anointing i love that song because our dad is that god who created the stars and placed them so far away that the light takes billions of years to even get to us for us to see and it's all for our enjoyment so we can enjoy the night sky look up in the sky stars at the stars and say god what am what a majestic view this is all you and he is your dad because he calls you by name and says i'm calling you my own in christ god made us acceptable to him meaning there's nothing more you could do there's not a single step you could take to deserve god's grace if you try to deserve god's grace if you try to deserve his forgiveness deserve deserve him in your life you're totally missing the point he's done it all there's nothing you could do to impress him ephesians chapter 1 verses 14 and 15 says and now you have also heard the truth the good news that god saves you and when you believed in christ he identified you as his own by giving you the holy spirit whom he promised long ago the spirit of god's guarantee that he will give us everything he promised and that he has purchased us to his own people this is just one more reason for us to praise our glorious god see you've been marked i know with this vaccine talk people talk about how vaccines are the mark of the beast some of them do it's i think it's nonsense but um listen you're marked with a holy spirit which means god put a stamp on you here it says when you believed in christ he identified you as his own by giving you the holy spirit essentially what god has done by placing holy spirit inside of us he plays the deposit in us my in-laws well i used to do this when my kids were a little younger after church we would they enjoy when we visit their house so what they will do after church the kids will surround grandpa grandma they would grab one of the kids and say you want to come to grandma and grandpa's house yay so they get one or two of our kids now we have to go to their house because they got a deposit our kids is in their house that's the trick suddenly oops you know where we're going after you know later today we're going to our in-laws house because they have our deposit our children so god plays holy spirit inside of you as a deposit that hey i am in you i can't leave you because i have my own nature placed inside of you i've identified you by giving my own holy spirit to you that's like identity my goodness god's holy spirit now lives inside of me i am marked by god that is quite a name that i have and then ephesians this is this is all based on ephesians chapter 1 here verse 19. apostle paul prays that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know what is the hope of his calling what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe according to the working of his mighty power which he worked in christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at the right hand in the heavenly places this is my most favorite verse in the whole bible this is so significant because essentially let me see if i can do this here okay oh my am i going ah it tells you here that the same power that raised christ from the dead the same power the unlimited power of god that created everything everything you see everything you don't see everything you will see and everything that you haven't seen the same power lives inside of you in its fullness you know you could never have more of power of god that's why i don't understand the prayer god gave us more power what more can god can give you he already placed fullness of power of god into your life into your spirit the exceeding greatness of his love within us exceeding huge unma immeasurable is already with there's nothing more god can give you because he gave you himself and placed exceeding greatness of his power inside of you already it needs to be unpacked it needs to be used it needs to be you need to have faith to start using it but the power of god is already within within you you are the only one that can limit the work of god through you if you do not know that you have it and do not know how to use it when do i have to finish three more minutes all right when people start you know there's this joke when the person was preaching and preaching and then everyone keeps starts leaving you guys heard of this one by one people are leaving leaving and he keeps on preaching and then only one person is left after a while he says wow you must be receiving it because no i'm the next preacher i'm i'm going to wrap up shortly here ephesians ephesians chapter 2 verse 4 through 6 but god who is rich in mercy because of his great love with which he loved us even when we were dead in trespasses made us alive together with christ by grace you've been saved and raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in christ jesus now therefore ephesians 2 19 verse 19 you are no longer strangers and foreigners but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of god god has already seated you in heaven in christ jesus in his eyes you're already in heaven with him you are seated with the rest of the saints already you are a lawful citizen of the kingdom of god the invisible kingdom of god that's ever present in this world in the for past in the present and the future that is timeless you're already a member of it you're sitting you're lawful citizen and you're a member of the family of god this is where we draw our identity from this is how we know who we are this is what your name is i'm a son of god i'm born of god god for is my father god is my dad i am sitted in heaven already in heavenly places i am holy and blameless in his sight oh my goodness i am royal priesthood i am special person i'm his i just want to invite all of us to pray let's praise god for what we have this is the time where we're thanking him it's the time of thanksgiving the most valuable thing god could have given us is his name he's given us his identity he's given us his name and we are the bearers of his dna his genes are in us you know when people say man your kids look like you you look like heavenly father because you have his dna you have i look at you and i see god because you are his children let's pray god we are just amazed at what you have done there's nothing we could do to ever repay there's nothing we could do god to ever ever deserve what you've done you've given us the right to stand in your presence the right to stand as if sin has never existed in our life and you have forgiven us everything we've done we are holy and blameless in your sight god you've made us your children you've given us your name we carry your last name god we carry your your royal titles we carry who you are we carry your identity we carry your nature within us and the limitless power of god this the holy spirit of promise is within us we are one our spirit is one with god god i thank you i thank you that we can do we draw from that in our lives and i ask you holy spirit tonight open the eyes of our understanding open our eyes god that we can see who we are in you that we can see with spiritual eyes not just theoretical knowledge not just by reading the verses of the bible but give us the supernatural revelation tonight so we can understand and know that we know that we know who we are as christians and draw our identity from you god we're casting all the false knowledge of who we are we're casting we're casting aside all the guilt all for all the past wrongs we've done with we're casting aside of our heirs mistakes omissions toward terrible things we said we've done we're throwing that away and casting it away and we're gonna say that tonight god we are a blameless and holy in your sight we are your children god i thank you so much for that god i just thank you and i ask for every person here in this name in this whole let your holy spirit god work in our hearts god help us to see who you are and what you've done for us father in jesus jesus mighty name i bless this church i bless the leadership of this team i bless this this english language service god let it grow let it be a point that will bring many people to you many people to understand and join the family of god become children of god god let let this be something big that something has been birthed here let it produce the fruit into your kingdom that we will marvel wow we are the beginning of something amazing and something great we proclaimed it and prophet prophesied that in jesus name let there be a massive fruit for the kingdom of god in this place in jesus mighty name we pray amen thank you brother that was a very you may take your seats that was a very um encouraging word and you know i feel like a a lot of people could benefit from this word because you know in the world today there's it's it's an identity crisis even about even among christians you know uh i feel like a lot of times uh we allow ourselves to let you know exterior sources such as like instagram you know just people in schools or work and you know in just different areas of our life and we allow that to sometimes influence you know us our decisions our thoughts and and it truly is that when we find our identity in christ and when we s when someone says something to us it won't sway us it won't shake us when someone you know makes fun of us or tries to you know prove us wrong in something if we're rooted in christ and we truly have our identity in him and we know what he's doing in our life because of how close we are to him no matter what goes around you know on around us it will not affect what we do the thoughts we have about ourselves the plans that we know god has in place for us and it will allow us to just move even though there are waves and storms and many things that go on trials and like he preached in the morning as well you know even when we're in that you know disappointment guess i mean this gets seven disappointment right even if we go through that if we have our identity rooted in christ that's what's gonna keep us you know rooted and to be able to get through that and understand that there is a greater plan greater purpose so thank you so much brother that was a very you know very powerful word and very much needed word um for all of us as believers and thank you for the the prayer and the encouragement and the prayer as well we treasure and value that but uh we will be having our next uh i'm gonna be concluding our service but we'll be having our next service probably in december we don't have the date yet uh set but we will be letting you guys know so plan for that and then um okay before we end i want to ask the worship group to come up because the last song that we had i think it's just really goes with the sermon it's about turning your eyes on god and i think that throughout your whole message it's like turn your eyes upon god like find your identity and i just want before we finish our service tonight so that we could all just like sing that song together that's awesome i think that's an awesome request so we'll just let's just stand to our feet allow the words of the song and you know as the worship group leads us to just open our hearts you know and ask jesus like to just shine a light into our lives and show us like who are we in christ ask him just be like hey you know i'm going through this this you know and i feel like this and this about myself i don't know maybe you don't know what his plan is for you just allow this moment this time of worship and as we step into prayer to be a time where you can you know we are a royal priest good we are priesthood we are our chosen generation we are your people god that is our identity that is who we are let that just be imparted into our hearts let that be a revelation to our minds let that be put into action into our lives god let it be rooted deep into our soul into our spirit so that we would know that we are your people that we are led by your spirit and let it be a revelation to us that we are already filled with an overwhelming uh power we are already filled with this overwhelming love that we are carriers of your presence that we are carriers of your spirit and with that let this that that same that spirit that you have filled us with let it radiate let it speak to the people around us let your let them see your light your power and your glory in every one of us god let this be a clear revelation to us today in this moment in this time god so that from this moment on we would live as a true people that belong to christ a people that are chosen by you and a people that know that we are your children in jesus name we pray amen you may greet each other and we will see you next month [Music]
