Стислий зміст

На мiсiонерському семiнарi в церквi Ерик Касто навчав, що книга Дiянь - це не просто iсторiя, а живий план Церкви. Першi вiруючi нiколи ранiше не бачили церкви; через молитву й провiд Святого Духа Iсус Сам будував її. Церква набагато бiльша за недiльне зiбрання - це свiтло, яке передається з поколiння в поколiння, i за нього дорого заплатили тi, хто йшов перед нами.

Вiн показав, як Бог вивiв Євангелiю з Єрусалима до народiв, посадивши Петра й Павла в Римi, щоб добра звiстка сягнула краю землi. Хрещення Святим Духом, наголосив вiн, - це наказ Iсуса, а не право вибору, i Бог виливає його на людей рiзного роду: апостолiв, чужинцiв-самарян, простого вiруючого Ананiю, навiть язичника Корнилiя - руйнуючи стiни мiж культурами в одного нового чоловiка у Христi. За Євангелiєю завжди йде переслiдування, тож вiдповiдати на нього треба любов'ю i смiливiстю, а не вiдступом.

Ми живемо в 29-му роздiлi Дiянь, i кожен сам вирiшує, яким буде його роздiл.

Головні думки

  • Книга Дiянь - це живий план Церкви, i її iсторiя досi пишеться: ми - 29-й роздiл.
  • Церква - це набагато бiльше, нiж недiльне зiбрання; це свiтло Євангелiї, передане наступному поколiнню.
  • Хрещення Святим Духом - наказ Iсуса, а не додаток на вибiр, i Вiн виливає його на людей будь-якого роду.
  • У Христi падають старi стiни культури й нацiональностi: не слов'яни чи американцi, а один народ, вiдокремлений для Бога.
  • За Євангелiєю йде переслiдування; ми вiдповiдаємо любов'ю i смiливiстю, а не вiдступом.

Не можна вилити силу, якої нiколи не приймав, тож праця починається на колiнах i в Словi, а не на мiсiонерському полi. Пам'ятай: ти живеш у 29-му роздiлi Дiянь - iсторiя Церкви досi пишеться, i твоє життя стало однiєю з її сторiнок. Зроби цей роздiл таким, який варто читати - сповненим любовi, смiливостi й очевидної присутностi Святого Духа.

Книга Дiянь не має кiнцiвки - вона досi пишеться, i ти її 29-й роздiл.
Перш нiж вiддати Євангелiю iншим, Iсус питає одне: що ти маєш?
Не вiдступай перед опором - зустрiчай темряву любов'ю i смiливiстю.

remember the color good morning it's great to be here everybody at home watching and uh so praise god we're uh i believe that we're in for a move of the holy spirit this morning i've been working on this book called the school of acts for quite some time it's been quite a work and this is the first prototype that we just got printed and we want to begin to teach it this weekend and the reason i did it i really felt the lord say the book of acts is more than history it's the living blueprint of the church this way the church was born men and women who had no idea what a church was think about it did they they never seen a church before so there are certain things that they had in them as they prayed which prayers in this that they began to follow the lord and in their following him he was establishing his church and so i believe that before the lord returns we have to have a good understanding of what is the church and what was the difference between this church the acts church and maybe the church that we know the western church okay so let me open in a word of prayer and then let's let's get moving on this and uh hallelujah heavenly father i'm so thankful i'm so thankful for your presence this morning i received the teaching anointing father in jesus name that father that your word will write into our hearts with the anointing that we will hear what you're saying to us that will make corrections adjustments and things that are right to be encouraged in father in jesus name we worship and praise you and we thank you amen you know it's very interesting the bible that we know the new testament time starts with acts and then when you get to the book of revelation the first few chapters of revelation deals with churches doesn't it first chapter 1 it shows you how wonderful the lord is chapter 2 and 3 deals with the church after chapter 3 in the book of revelation you never hear the church again and those churches which came out of the book of acts in the missionary thrust by the time john was on the isle of patmos the lord is speaking to the church in some ways he's encouraging it and to every church he says i know everything about you isn't that wonderful in a good way he says i know your works i know your labor i know you're i know how you've been persecuted and you've endured but then to some of the churches he issues a warning ephesus ephesus was a powerful church in the book of acts but by the time you get to revelation the lord is already talking to them if you don't change something i'm going to remove you oh lord you don't want to remove us you need us well the lord's not quite like that so i think it's very important because you know a lot of times we look at church and we're thinking about sunday we go to church on sunday but church is bigger than that church is for this next generation that we have never seen yet and we're carriers of the light and the glory of god to put it into their hands so that when we're gone they're still running with the power of god amen so it's bigger the church is bigger than just a sunday service right because a lot of times that's what we get focused on the weekly routine right sunday morning i go to church wednesday night i go to church i work my job okay that's wonderful but church is bigger there's been a lot of people who have laid their lives down through the 2000 years of history so that you and i could be here today it's enormous many of them died they gave their lives they were persecuted they suffered but they carried the torch of the gospel and today that's where we are so let's look at the book of acts and uh so i want to begin if you have this book on chapter on page two those of you at home you don't have a book and that's what happens when you don't come on chapter two we have keys okay and i'm gonna explain this so all the gifts of the holy spirit when you read the book of acts in here they're going to be listed on the right side of the page they're going to be listed next to the scripture where the manifestation of the holy spirit is on the left side of the page you're going to have topics of further study such as the baptism of the holy spirit the praying church harvest documented resurrection persecution angels judgments and then we have old testament word of wisdom just to show you that the book of acts has a lot of fulfilled words from hundreds of years before speaking into it very powerful on page three let's look at the facts of acts let's just kind of take acts and look at it real close i've documented over 131 manifestations of the holy spirit in the book of acts of the revelation gifts there are 66 manifestations of these gifts of the power gifts we've documented 56. there are 12 manifestations of the gifts of inspirational utterance we're going to look at all of those probably not in this seminar we don't have enough time the book of acts doesn't have a conclusion it's still being written isn't that great you're in it did you know you're in it isn't that great i'm in the book of acts the 29th chapter there's only 28 chapters at next so you and i are in 29. in that wonderful so the book of acts covers about 30 to 33 years of church history you know that's about what jesus's life was on the earth it's about the same so the life of jesus on the earth and the book of acts are about the same amount of time isn't that cool the book of acts begins in jerusalem where the church is born and ends 28 chapters later in rome wow there are 36 examples of harvest in the book of acts these harvests examples range from multitudes being saved to families being saved households or single individuals that's pretty cool that's all in here we're going to talk about it or if we don't talk about it it's in your book you read it there are 22 references to the baptism of the holy spirit and how it operates in our lives such as the day of pentecost or when paul is confronting evil he would receive a fresh feeling of the holy spirit empowering him that's all in here we'll talk about that there are nine occurrences of angels and their ministry in the book of acts 26 references to resurrection 25 references to prayer prayer was so crucial to the early church can you imagine jesus commands them wait in jerusalem till you receive the promise of the father right but they really didn't know what that was no one had experienced it right they also didn't have bibles did they new testament bibles so they had really no idea prayer is how they stayed united how they stayed moving forward with an expectation of what this is the lord is talking about but we don't know what it is right and so the importance of prayer to this early church kept them moving forward even when they didn't understand what god was ready to do they still walked into it because of prayer that's important there are 31 references to persecution now now the module on persecution that's probably my favorite and and and i hope we can get into it i don't know but the thing about persecution you see the strength in the church everything the devil did to try to stop it it didn't stop it and so what we look at in this book is we start with with how persecution began you know what the first persecution in the book of acts was what's your name samuel come here i'm going to show you the first persecution in the book of acts are you ready samuel you're ready for this first persecution in the book of acts was hands grabbing oh can you imagine that you can sit down you did a great job no one likes hands grabbing you and you know i've been on the streets a lot with the cross i've had hands grab me before and you don't like it because it's a form of control it's a form of aggression and you just you just don't like it well that's the first form after the hands grab we began to show you how persecution began to change and intensify intensify in hopes of stopping the church but it never did we look at that six references to judgment oh now judgment's another interesting chapter there are six references two of the the well we'll look at that later let me not talk about that the book of acts is the reality of god's love for the whole world and we talk about old testament prophecies this love is still demonstrated through the preaching of the gospel which is still preached today the baptism of the holy spirit was administered supernaturally by the lord himself by the lord through his apostles and by the lord through laymen such as ananias so we know it's the lord who who administers the baptism of the holy spirit but he also can use us we document that very important next page every consequential breakthrough in the church growth or direction came through the manifestation of the gifts and operations of god now this is why this book is important that we study it that we begin to say god help me to get this in me because in that first church right every church movement and direction didn't come because of men it came because they were praying and the holy spirit was leading and the gifts of god the angels of god were moving forward it's an operation so important only three chapters chapter 17 24 and 25 have no account of the gifts of the holy spirit in operation now that's interesting isn't it that's how supernatural the the book of acts is three chapters so we can look at that when we get to are you all ready for this is it interesting we can talk about something else if it's not i mean now look watch this the book of acts is a is a historical record that deals primarily with the operations of the holy spirit to the church and through the church rather than a record of the fruit of the holy spirit in the lives of believers you say what does that mean when you read the epistles right paul talks a lot about character he gets in there and begins to deal with how we should treat each other john the same the book of acts is more about the light shining into the darkness of this world and the church going forward the epistles are about the salt how do we work this out right let me give you an example in acts chapter 6 there were two groups of jews that were conflicting with each other grecians and hebrews there were jews one group were hebrews the other were more greek in their culture and guess what they weren't loving each other the hebrew said we'll take care of our own widows but we don't care about your widows and there was some real anger going on here in the book of acts acts doesn't deal with the the situation of the heart concerning prejudice or cultural divide the book of acts deals with how they quickly change some things and move forward in the plan of god it's the epistles that deals with the heart amen so there's a difference so that's why i'm saying this so the book of acts is more about the light the epistles deal a lot with assault how do we how are we christians okay now the book of acts is divided into two major divisions the first division is the church in jerusalem and the leadership of peter and his ministry the second division is the movement of the church westward into europe and rome with the leadership of paul history shows us that both peter and paul the two chief apostles were martyred in rome therefore effectively showing the shift of the christian power base from asia to europe from jerusalem which would be destroyed in a.d 70 to rome these two apostles were the seeds planted into europe the other apostles of the lord went different directions with the gospel but peter and paul's ministries were in line with daniel's vision concerning the direction of the four world empires that would affect human history until the coming of messiah and also coming as a baby in bethlehem in the second coming therefore the book of acts along with the book of daniel is a record of the strategic shifting of power from jerusalem to the nations or more precisely in the book of acts to rome let me let me expound on that real quick in the book of daniel rabbinical thinking is that daniel's book was like a bridge into the eternities that's how they saw it because of the prophecies in it nebuchadnezzar had a dream nobody understood it daniel walks in and realizes if we don't get an answer we're all going to die right god shows daniel the dream gives him the interpretation about four kingdoms gold silver and he goes down the list by daniel chapter 7 daniel has the same vision but it's not gold and silver it's beasts what's really in these kingdoms these demonic entities when daniel sees this he talks about the fourth kingdom he says it's unlike any kingdom he's ever seen this king this this beast stretches out and possesses this whole globe and affects it well it's rome okay and we understand that it went babylon persia greece and in rome those were the four empires rome is still in power today through its economics and also through its religion okay don't think just about christian the effect rome has had on the globe will you say what do you mean by that well the european banking system is a part of this beast that's controlling for example when i go into bhutan a sleepy little kingdom in the himalaya that nation has been awakened and is being pulled into the whole family of nations how because of the money and the banking of the west that's made its way in and now it's influencing it's awakening it and it's bringing it in that's how this beast operates in the world economy so what god is saying to them is that when the time of this rome comes though it's full of evil it's going to begin to stretch out over the earth and what i need to do is get the gospel planted into the middle of it so that the gospel goes with it if this is going to go i'm going to put the gospel in it and it's going to go all over the earth now let me say this there was a guy named noah he had a prophetic understanding of the future he talked about the sons of japheth he said you sons of japheth you're going to be enlarged and what that means is you're going to stretch out and you're going to go to your brothers and you're going to have effect all over the earth well europe has it touched the globe yeah i mean we live in america because a whole bunch of people from europe got up in boats and went over here it's those europeans that say let's go stand on the moon there's something in europeans that want to go find something and god says i'm going to get the gospel put right into those people and they're going to carry it to all nations now part of the wisdom of god was jerusalem was going to be destroyed the church power base in jerusalem was going to be scattered so guess what god had to do get the power base of christianity in another place so that that place could carry it to the ends of the earth now that's why we're going to be studying this isn't that interesting do you everybody follow me this first time i'm teaching this so i mean if you have a question maybe we should just ask questions now god knows what he's doing and we need to understand where we're located in this operation of god amen now if you turn to the page 70 i just want you to see something in this manual now page 70 is is the cup of coffee for you this morning it's gonna wake you up okay are you ready for page 70. i've said this before but you got to see it page 70. acts 29 verse 1. how you live your life with the lord is in this chapter make sure it's a chapter worth reading you see that that's pretty good nobody amen that let me read it again you didn't get it page 70 acts 29 this is why we're looking at this acts 29 yeah i'm sorry this is your chapter make sure it's a good chapter right we don't want to read a bad chapter all right okay so that didn't go over it went over in me now i want to look at something i want you to turn in your bible the name of the study is at the school of acts the gifts and operations of god we're still kind of laying a foundation acts 12 and verse 1. paul's speaking concerning spiritual gifts brethren now i want to i want you to understand the word gifts is in the english bible maybe russian bible too i don't know but in the greek the word gifts is not there in the greek it means the things pertaining to the spirit so it should read like this now concerning the things that pertain to the spirit ah i don't want you to be ignorant so why are we doing this study to not be ignorant right verse 4 now there are difference of charisma or graces we're using the word gift in english probably not the best word i like it but it's not the best word charisma these graces of god what are they well they come because of the things of the spirit so paul wants us to understand the holy spirit that's what he's saying because you know what whether you like it or not jesus is not here on the earth is he who who's with us holy spirit so paul is like there's a whole lot about the holy spirit i want you to understand that's why i don't want you to be ignorant i want you to know these things why because every major breakthrough in the church moving forward came because of the things of the spirit and not because the church had a committee meeting we like committee meetings don't get me wrong but guess what it was by the holy spirit moving so paul says i don't want you to be ignorant of these things you need to understand this and when you understand it guess what you hunger for it right so if i'm a good teacher today with the help of the holy spirit working you're going to get hungry for these things concerning differences of of the of the gifts but it's the same holy spirit there are differences of administrations but it's the same lord so already we see the spirit now we see the lord and there are differences of operations but it's the same god who's working all in all oh but we got the trinity father the son and the holy spirit and they're all working and they have each their own specific tasks in this operation and they're perfect so in order to understand acts i want to talk about this word operation because it's very important the father jesus said is the one who controls times and seasons jesus said i'm going to come back but i don't even know when i'm coming it's in the authority of the father the angels don't even know so who has this authority the father does so i want to lay a foundation concerning operations administrations and gifts can i do that thank you i'll do it anyways ready best way i can see to explain this is in the life of noah the father sitting on the throne is looking at humanity and they have totally corrupted their way and the father determines the season is over and so the plan of god a new operation comes into the earth the lord who works administration comes to a man named noah one man who loved god and the call of god comes upon this man the lord is getting an administrator the holy spirit is in charge of the gifts or these operations of the holy spirit all of a sudden noah begins to receive a word of god's wisdom which we'll talk about he realizes there's going to be a flood god's going to do this i'm going to have to build this ark and so he begins to move by faith now in this there's a gift of faith in operation to protect noah during this time do you ever think about how much the devil hated noah do you think the devil wanted noah to live absolutely not do you think the people that lived around noah liked noah no they probably hated him some of them so there had to be a protection that was placed around noah called the gift of faith where noah could go forward and accomplish this plan of god so we see the father saying the season's changed there's going to be a new operation the lord administrates it and the gifts of the holy spirit begin to operate but there are more pieces in the flood than just noah and the father's overseeing it how about the animals did noah go out and find the animals no his job build the ark so if the father is overseeing all of these different pieces it's time for the animals to come animals are coming oh let's put them in the ark no i didn't go come here mr lyon i want to put you in the ark you didn't do that they came to him he received it done what about the shutting of the door did noah shut the door no the father did that it's time to shut the door what about the rain the piercing of the heavens and the the splitting of the earth no it didn't do that what about the rain and then the wind that came did noah do that absolutely not he was in the boat feeding animals right and shoveling after they eat there's another situation there were a lot of pieces to this operation the father was overseeing it all the lord was administrating noah his family and the holy spirit was moving well we could look at the birth of jesus the father determines it's time to change the seasons it's time for jesus to come well somebody had to speak to caesar about having a census didn't they well the father was overseeing that what about the john the baptist he had to be born father is overseeing all of these parts wise men coming from the east a lot of different pieces to complete the operation when we come to the book of acts that see this time called the church this is an operation of god the baptism of the holy spirit these harvest winds of god they're a part of it and over the last 2 000 years there have been different things that god has orchestrated in order to oversee this operation called the church age and it's exciting amen so let's um peter we started a little bit late how do you do we take breaks or i just go okay good now i want you to take your bible i mean the the book and i want you to look at page five page five for those at home just if you look at page five on the left hand side you'll see keys for further study on the right hand side you'll see the manifestation of the things that pertain to the spirit of god these operations of the grace of god okay so when you read it you can use those and go oh oh in verse 5 there's a word of wisdom that speaks into the future pertaining to the mind of god and then to the left you go oh there's resurrection they're talking about resurrection and all of those are in the back modules for further study okay so that's why it's a whole study manual so you have 28 chapters but i want you to turn right now so in this first morning session we're going to look at the baptism of the holy spirit may i have some water peter is there a little water right here yeah and then just hold that one boy give him a reward if it was iced tea it'd be a bigger reward let's talk about the keynote sign or part of this operation called the church age it's the holy spirit his baptism in verse in page 72 part a we talk about type shadows and prophecy confirming the baptism of the holy spirit the old testament has a lot to say about what we're living in now and it's a it's amazing so let's begin with genesis 28 11 when jacob laid down to sleep his thoughts were troubling him he was alone on the run heading to a country that wasn't his own his brother wanted to kill him that's the problem he drifted off to sleep and the god of abraham visited him with a dream which was designed to encourage him as well as to paint a prophetic picture that would show forth the church age an age where the body of messiah comprised of all nations would be saturated in the oil of the holy spirit when jacob arose he awoke from this holy visitation he was trembling under the supernatural all of god's presence he took a rock he that he used for a pillow and he poured oil upon the rock not in that amazing he didn't know what he was doing he took that pillow and he began to pour oil now he probably thought why am i doing this who pours oil on his pillow but he did and probably in his spirit he was like this feels good because he was in a prophetic operation of god daniel 2 34 as daniel proceeded to explain the dream to nebuchadnezzar the court of babylon was silenced as the king and his wise men listen to this young hebrew captive explain a dream that had never been told daniel said you saw a stone or a rock cut from a mountain without hands that stone began to move in the earth and it struck the image at its feet causing the image to fall as daniel finished explaining the dream the power of the holy spirit fell in the room causing the great king to fall off of his throne and onto the floor can you imagine that a lot of times we over we read over that but nebuchadnezzar this powerful king fell on his face that's power in the room god was in the room establishing to the nations my plan is going to come to pass and that king fell down nebuchadnezzar was getting a taste of the day of pentecost that would one day empower that stone of who christ is the revelation the rock that would demolish the four earthly kingdoms that were explained in his dream once again a stone is used to describe a spiritual truth matthew 16 18 jesus brings the fullness of these two prophetic visitations together one day when he asked his disciples who he was who do men say i am and then he says but who do you say and peter goes uh you're the christ you're the son of the living god and when when he said that jesus says peter you've heard from god no man told you this and he said peter on this revelation this rock i'm going to build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it he was declaring guys listen i am the rock that nebuchadnezzar saw cut out of the mountain that came and destroyed his kingdoms i am the rock that jacob poured oil down upon and he didn't even know why 73 first paragraph before the day of pentecost occurred jesus had ascended into heaven having sat down upon his throne at the right hand of the father fully clothed with the power and glory he shared with the father before creation the difference was now jesus had become a man the wisdom of the father who had sent forth his word to be born from the womb of a virgin it was not the wisdom of this world this man jesus seated at the right hand of the throne of god is now praying to his father and our father for the promise of the holy spirit to be granted the words had already been spoken prophetically by joel now these words were ready to birth a move of the holy spirit unlike any other time in history it was time to gather the nations into one body into one new man into christ joel as a prophet had said in the last days says god i'm gonna pour out my spirit nobody knew what that meant mrs joel his wife said joel what does that mean i don't know but it felt good oh so we just wait for god to do it well on the day of pentecost those words that joel had spoken were now ready to come into operation amen brother eric i want you to understand something about jesus when god sent jesus to become a man jesus put away his glory he became like us he depended on the holy spirit the way you and i have to and he showed us how to do it when he was raised back to life he went back to the throne of god but this time there's something different he was clothed with all the glory he had before creation but now he's still a man there's a man seated at the right hand of the father like us who is full of the glory he had before the creation of the world this is our jesus and there we're going to see him we're going to see him soon where he steps beside the father and preaches to heaven the glory of god shakes it and he's a man like us and the angels have no understanding of the love the father has for people that he would become like you our creator this is the jesus who at the right hand of the throne turns to the father i pray you for the promise you have promised to my followers and the father releases the holy spirit this is the church age you live in it you are acts 29 i am acts 29 and you are too sergey i love that me too i love that you at home be healed in jesus name hallelujah because you're acts 29 2. i'm just feeling the energy of god beginning to mount up in here page 73 i will grab hold of myself here very second paragraph there in jerusalem 120 disciples had gathered into an upper room waiting for the promise of the father not fully understanding what was about to happen as the father poured forth the spirit upon those gathered there came a sound likened to a mighty wind it shook jerusalem those expectant disciples were now sitting under a glory spout a river of fire from which the tributaries streamed forth and sat fully upon each of the lord's servants and handmaidens as the glory filled both the house and each disciple isaiah's prophetic words began to manifest with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people though jacob had no understanding about the prophetic depth of what he was doing when he poured oil over the stone that he used for his pillows there was one thing for sure god's plan had been established before creation and through jacob the eternal one was painting a prophetic picture a signpost of his plans and purposes for both the jewish people and all people oh [Music] oh jesus that's the time we live in now let's go to part b you're going to love this part b it's did you like part a yeah you don't have to lie i mean you didn't like it you tell me and i'll try to do a little better here time for a break right now yeah let's take a break and then we'll go to part b ten minute break okay we are in uh 10 minutes breaks and we'll see you again thanks [Music] [Music] we've come to share a simple message that god really loves you when jesus died on the cross he was not creating religion he was dying for our sin the bible declares that on the third day god raised jesus back from the grave friend jesus is alive and he loves you don't die without christ [Music] [Music] [Music] so do [Music] we've back from the grave friend jesus is alive and he loves you don't die without christ [Music] [Music] you can yeah we've come to share a simple message that god really loves you when jesus died on the cross he was not creating religion he was dying for our sin the bible declares that on the third day god raised jesus back from the grave friend jesus is alive and he loves you don't die without christ [Music] okay page 73 we're going to start with part b already laid a foundation jacob pouring oil on the stone nebuchadnezzar's dream a stone moving hitting the mountain jesus declaring on this rock on this stone i'm going to build my church now we're going to move to part b 73 that the blessing of abraham may come on the gentiles through jesus christ that we might receive the promise of the holy spirit through faith i want you to take note blessing of abraham promise of the spirit it's a package let's continue taken from the book of genesis genesis 11 7-9 go let us go down the lord speaking confound their language that they may not understand one another's speech so the lord scattered them abroad from there upon the face of all the earth they stop building the city therefore is the name of that called babel because the lord did confound the language of all the earth and from there did the lord scatter them abroad on the face of the earth acts 2 verse 1 through 11. when the day of pentecost was fully calm they were all with one accord in one place suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a rushing mighty wind it felt all the house where they were sitting they appeared unto them cloven tongues like as a fire and it sat upon each they were filled with the holy spirit they began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance they were dwelling at jerusalem jews devout men out of every nation under heaven when this was noise the multitude came together they were confounded because every man heard them speak in his own language they're all amazed marveled saying one to another behold are not all these galileans how do we hear them speak in our own tongue where we were born parthians beads elamites dwellers in mesopotamia judea cappadocia pontus asia phrygia pemphilia egypt and in parts of libya around cyrene strangers of rome jews proselytes cretes arabians we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of god once again we find in the book of genesis the first book of the bible how much it has to say about the baptism of the holy spirit the tower of babel is where god poured out his mercy as a judgment everybody now what happened let me let me give you a little bit of backdrop when noah's ark landed in ararat turkey in the mountains the wisdom of god it was going to take time for the water to drain so it would be better for noah to get off first where in the mountains because the water is draining the rabbis teach that also as the water was draining that all those dead bodies had to drain out into the sea because it was a judgment the land was defiled for a season so noah was up in the mountains of turkey they got out of the boat and they began to live as time began to move on the family grew right mrs noah and other little noah's they were having babies his children were then they began to come down out of the mountains back into the plains i could understand noah the bible says they began to move to the east i believe he was looking for the garden of eden he remembered but there came a point where the nations of men had become so large they weren't listening to noah anymore there was a new leader his name was nimrod and the bible says they stopped moving east and they began to move west and when you look at that biblically it's a defiance to god we're going to do it our way ah so they found a plane and they said oh we're going to build a tower by our own hands and the rabbis say they were doing it in case there was another flood they could rescue themselves man relying on his own strength against god they were already in rebellion again then they said we're going to have a name for ourselves well in rabbinical teaching that means we're going to have an idol we're going to worship a god and we're going to create this god just like aaron and the israelites build a calf well they were going to create a name and so god is like they're already in rebellion again so the lord comes down he looks at this mess and he says i'm going to scatter them and so the power of the holy spirit came down and they all had a change of language your language the slavic nations english well english kind of form from other all of a sudden these languages and all of a sudden these tribes of men the sons of shem began to move to the east the sons of ham began to move to the west and down into africa and the sons of japheth began to go up north and then to the west three sons it was god's mercy upon humanity that he didn't judge him right there he could have now there were two men living at this time noah he hadn't died yet so he witnessed what we call the scattering in english dispersion of the nations noah saw it can you imagine noah he witnessed the flood he knew what it was like to live before the flood he understood the flood and he lived after the flood and he warned everybody don't sin serve god it was the gospel of noah and everybody knew it they all knew it because they all came from him and him preached about the flood but they didn't listen there was another man alive his name was abram he was alive at that time and you can if you look at rabbinical time timelines there's some great charts that shows you who lived when or you can just do the the math in your bible so here's abram abram at the time he witnesses the nations scattered he watched all the different languages and then he sees everybody leaving and then god says to abram he says in you i'm going to give you a seed christ and i'm going to bless all of these nations do you think abram understood that absolutely not but it felt good because it came from god and he said god i believe and he began the walk of faith on the day of pentecost the holy spirit came down and new tongues were given but this time it didn't divide them it unified them and it became a witness to all of the nations who were under the curse of babel that god is ready to bless on page 75 centripetal centripetal acceleration inward center seeking meaning when there well you know what it is right second chronicles 7 1-3 when solomon made an end of praying the fire came down from heaven consumed the offerings and sacrifices and the glory of the lord filled the house the priest could not enter into the house of the lord because the glory of the lord filled the lord's house when all the children of israel saw how the fire came down and the glory of the lord upon the house they bowed themselves with their face to the ground upon the pavement they worship and praise the lord saying he's good his mercy endures forever the blessing of abraham upon the jewish nation was release by that visible glory of god upon the temple it was the blessing of abraham invisible sight upon the nation god's glory god's power god's spirit upon the temple that was the blessing you say explain that a little more when abraham came to the priest melchizedek and he gave him a tenth melchizedek the bible says was the greater man without beginning and he blessed abraham that blessing was more than nice words it was a spiritual empowerment of god upon him and upon that whole nation of israel it's that blessing that has kept those people alive today it's not just nice words it is an operation of god's special faith a power of god that went into abraham there as solomon dedicated that temple it was a manifestation of what abraham had received in the promise of god upon this people centripetal is jerusalem is the center and the nations of men must come to jerusalem to know god that was part of the the judgment the nations had rebelled they turned to idolatry god scatters them and now they're sitting in darkness and god says but in jerusalem there is light come turn to the next page centrifugal acceleration outward on the day of pentecost the blessing of abraham was visible again in jerusalem by the manifested shekinah glory of god upon the body of christ the church the new temple with the sanctification coupled with the lord's great commission to go and tell all men came a new concept to the jewish mind now think about this the jewish mind was jerusalem but not now god is totally changing something jerusalem judea samaria and this is unthinkable what god's going to say next to the ends of the earth are you kidding me god's plan was now outward to the nations jeremiah 31 10 reveals the promise of god to israel concerning his judgment upon them he that scattered israel will gather them the same mercy of god holds true for all nations through the power of the gospel the god who divided and scattered earth's families at babel had a plan to gather all men into one family where he would be restored as man's father thank you lord the outpouring of the holy spirit on the day of pentecost a grace filling grace john chapter 1 the double blessing that isaiah talked about it was the blessing of abraham poured forth upon all flesh it's the power that propels the plan of god outward from jerusalem to the ends of the earth now by his passion and through the preaching of the gospel the lord who is now our high priest after the order of melchizedek administrates this impartation of power and blessing thus unifying earth's families in the power of the holy spirit through one new man christ let me explain that abraham came to give his tithes to god melchizedek blessed him in the new testament christ jesus is our melchizedek he's a type it's him that now speaks this double blessing into us you say brother eric what's the double blessing the spirit in the spirit upon us john chapter 14 jesus said you know him he shall be with you and she shall be in you it's the double blessing abraham didn't even have that david didn't even have that they were very powerful but you and i have something they never had the spirit within us in the spirit with us two operations of the holy spirit and that's we'll explain a lot of that there's a spirit of sonship whereby the spirit in you confirms that you belong to god but then there's the ministry anointing of power that jesus said you received this i received it you receive it two operations of the holy spirit in the church they're different they have different operations to them but it's the same holy spirit who operates chapter page 78. being assembled together he commanded them that they should not depart from jerusalem but wait for the promise of the father he said you've heard it of me john truly baptized with water but you will be baptized with the holy spirit holy ghost not many days hence now the word baptized means in english submerged meaning you're going to go in be soaked and come back up baptize i don't know if i like the word baptized i like the word submerged dunkin donuts the word duncan literally means this you're submerged down in and brought back up this baptism of the holy spirit was never considered an option to jesus in acts 1 4. now this is very important you got to get your little highlighter the lord reminds his disciples that he commanded them to receive the command to receive the baptism of the holy spirit came from him i meet people oh yeah i believe in jesus but i don't i don't need that and i say well wait a minute this command came directly from the one you say you love i didn't command it he said he commanded it oh and so if jesus commands it then he'll hold us accountable of whether we had it now on the earth denominations have argued about this pentecostals evangelicals are just as bad evangelicals argue against it and then the pentecostals get in strife and argue back and he says arguing and it's not right why don't we just rest and just say well jesus said it and we'll just follow jesus and leave it and no arguments he commanded it this one phrase carries a sobering weight pertaining to the lord's command to receive this baptism of fire and power and then to live in it this blessing from heaven was not an option it's a command this passage also reveals that much had already been said concerning this baptism it's also important to note that john the baptist also taught about it you ever think about john the baptist let me just pause for a minute i love john the baptist here's mary the angel comes to mary mary you're going to have a baby mary says how is this going to happen i don't i'm not married the angel says the holy spirit is going to come upon you and the power of the most high is going to overshadow you whoo she said oh i'll take that she goes to visit elizabeth who has john in her right six months she has she's six months pregnant with john mary's pregnant but it's just a little a little jesus but what the holy spirit and the power as soon as mary walks into the house little jesus and the power of god fills elizabeth and john the baptist jesus is still baptizing people as a little thing that's power john the baptist in his ministry he's talking about the baptism of the holy spirit you wonder why where did he get it from he got it when mary walked in and said hi it went into john i know it's funny i mean it's just it's amazing it's powerful so jesus commands these disciples not suggestion you wait and you receive i am the one who told you so these guys are praying and there's mary mary's like she's like guys of anyone in here i probably have the closest understanding of what's coming think about it the holy spirit and the power and so little mary's praying oh i'm so hungry for this it's been a long time since i've had this and now through that little baby she gave birth to he's at the right hand of the father releasing this baptism and there she is being filled with the holy spirit and the power of god now born again with the blessing of abraham she begins salabo shikaya brongadiste flowing with a new language that overturns babel's judgment through blessing abraham had no idea what god was saying abraham in you and me i'm going to bless all of these nations okay i don't know how that's going to happen but i believe it on the day of pentecost that blessing through christ is now working to overturn the tower of babel that which was scattered god is saying it's time to bring it home to me that's why how many have received that that wonderful gift i have let's look at page 79 number three do you like this so far is this okay acts 1 22 this is number three beginning from the baptism of john until the same day that he was taken up from us must be one ordained to be a witness with us jesus's baptism by john was a very memorable event very mem i mean not only was jesus who had become a man baptized in water but those presents saw the power of the holy spirit come down upon him and they heard the voice of the father this is my son the apostles in choosing judas's replacement felt deeply that the person who was going to take judas's ministry had to be someone who carried a depth of devotion and who had experiential understanding of jesus's ministry therefore this event of jesus baptism of water and the holy spirit became the threshold of criteria needed for choosing one to be ordained to this holy position now this is very important many times when we think about the gospel we only think about the 12 disciples because that's usually what the focus is but there were a lot of people who knew jesus who followed jesus who were close to jesus and jesus was close to them they just weren't apostles lazarus jesus knew lazarus loved him like a friend but he wasn't an apostle so this is my encouragement on this you're going to love this you don't have to be apostle to have a real close relationship with jesus and for him to really love you he's like that you love him he'll love you he loves you anyways but i mean that friendship anointing that friendship of jesus so these apostles knew about all of these friends of jesus and they said okay we got to somehow get a new apostle right so what we got to do is we're going to only choose from people who were present when john baptized jesus heard the voice of the father and saw the power of god come down those are the ones we'll use oh very interesting that there were those kind of people following jesus from the very beginning isn't that powerful so they they chose matthias it's very important also to know well i won't get into that number four the holy spirit is poured out we kind of talked about that you can read that later number five on page 83 the baptism of the holy spirit is both seen and heard fire came on him and everybody heard them what praying in tongues didn't they very powerful number six repent be baptized and you shall receive the holy spirit so jesus is speaking to 3 000 people right now i mean peter peter is preaching to 3 000 people and he says repent be baptized in the name of jesus christ for the remission of sin and then listen to what he says you shall you shall receive that's bold think about this they only just received it themselves didn't they and now he's preaching and he has no doubt repent be baptized you shall receive this baptism of the holy spirit was together with salvation i want you to hear something in the jewish mind if god is going to create a temple he's going to put his glory on it as well not half of it all of it so here's peter if you repent if you're baptized you shall receive that's powerful he wasn't pretending like oh i don't know you know he knew what he was preaching and this is the first day of the church it had never been preached before he didn't have a bible oh let me look up this let me look up the book of acts he was the book of acts he was writing the book of acts let's get more boldness in us that's what i want don't you want that i want that when i look at this i i said jesus change me i want more of this this is not where i want to be right now i want to be more this way with you right in this book page 83 number 7 81 thank you got to keep me on track here peter filled with the holy ghost said you rulers of people and you elders of israel filled with the holy spirit the holy ghost to do what this fresh wave of power came down for him to pray in tongues no to confront those religious people the same way jesus did now you ever ever see where the the the the the religious leaders came to confront jesus and then he just says a couple things and they get real quiet you know that you get a picture what was happening with jesus because as those religious leaders came around i think the holy spirit and he began to talk to them the baptism of the holy spirit is not just to pray in tongues it's to confront evil if the devil and his people are full of evil why wouldn't god fill his people with power to confront it this is the part as the church we have to grow in we're too quiet with evil this is an aspect of the baptism of the holy spirit to call evil evil and to stand up to it and know the power of god is with you no am i am i getting too loud i'll i'll try to get quieter sorry i was born loud number eight on page 82. boldness to speak when they prayed the place was shaken where the holy where they were assembled they were all filled with the holy spirit and they spake the word of god with boldness this baptism of the holy spirit is so we can speak boldly as the gospel needs to be spoken in love boldness to confront or boldness to preach i remember one time i was in prague and i was preaching down in the westerslop square and the pastor was interpreting but we were preaching john 3 16 boldly so that faith would be in it and someone threw a brick and it was stopped in the air and thrown down now that will give you some more boldness the gospel must be preached in love boldly when we talk to people it can't be i don't know you know maybe you could get saved you know that's not that's out of your mind the gospel must be coming out of here with the power of the holy spirit the reason we don't have that in churches is because we don't have prayer meetings to produce that they had prayer meetings that kept that fire in them without prayer meetings for lost people the congregation will not keep that in them the reason they were fulfilled fresh is because they had used what they had and now they needed something more and heaven was not lacking heaven had all that they need and kept supplying as they needed they were walking with the lord vert number nine the holy spirit is the greatest witness of resurrection i love this one and we are his witnesses of these things and so also is the holy ghost whom god has given to those that obey him do you know that the holy spirit was there when jesus was raised from the dead because he did it he was raised by the holy spirit now think about that think what the holy spirit experienced there's jesus dead bodies dead jesus is in the pit and the holy spirit goes down and and the power of god the glory of god manifests and jesus comes back alive comes up into his body in the holy spirit is watching the whole thing because he's doing it and then wait a minute are you ready get it one more time think about it who lives in me who lives in you the very one yeah the very one who did that he's the greatest witness of resurrection when i witness to somebody the one who raised jesus is in me and i say jesus is alive and the holy spirit's going amen i did it [Laughter] [Music] that's who's in us when you get up to preach tomorrow if you're preaching tomorrow i don't know who preaches tomorrow the one who raised jesus from the dead is in me what a sermon this is going to be as we wait on the lord in prayer we begin to yield to the one who witnessed jesus raised and yet power and that word is the evangelistic gospel we're under to preach if we don't wait upon him who raised jesus from the dead then our preaching of resurrection is weak but as we wait upon him who raised jesus from the dead when we say jesus is alive then he is talking so he's in us number 10 fullness of the holy spirit is a prerequisite to serve now i like this one acts 6 verse 5 and the saying pleased the whole multitude they chose stephen a man full of faith and of the holy ghost now i want you to get this this is this is one of my favorite they're all my favorite but i'm just saying this is one of my favorite it's like your children you know you say well they're all my favorite but i like this one when god created space he filled it with stars when god created the oceans he filled it with fish and whales and all kinds of stuff stuff we haven't even seen yet it's in there when he created the land he filled it with animals and everything god doesn't create something to be empty he feels it and for the prerequisite of service in the house of the lord it had to be men who were full of the holy spirit that was a prerequisite not only that but this account had to do with widows the most tender and gentle amongst us are these widows and what does god do he doesn't say oh let the youth ministry take care of the old ladies he doesn't say that he says let's use the best those who are full of the holy spirit and those who are full of what honesty because widows are so special to the lord the pharisees took advantage of the widows and jesus saw it all the time there was so much corruption against widows because these pharisees knew i can get something from them i can get their land and their house and jesus hated that and so did this church so it came to the best those full of the holy spirit and honesty would take care of the most vulnerable amongst us that's the church that's powerful guys you got to think about this full of the holy spirit people that could not stay full of the holy spirit you can have a position people full of money and not the holy spirit no it's full of the holy spirit and honesty is this okay it's getting quiet you guys tired 83 verse number 11 the holy spirit enhances speech they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke not only does the holy ghost give us tongues but he makes us speak better ever hear oral roberts he stuttered he was a major stutterer moses a stutterer but when he got saved the lord healed him and oral became a mighty preacher the holy spirit not only gives us tongues he can also help us speak oh pretty cool isn't it number 12 stephen a man full of the holy spirit but he being full of the holy ghost looked up into heaven and saw the glory of god and jesus standing at the right hand here it is full of the holy spirit full of the holy spirit full of the holy spirit full of the holy spirit you notice that's the theme it didn't say half full of the holy spirit empty of the holy spirit didn't say that we're looking at fullness of the holy spirit the bible declares that stephen's face shone like the face of an angel it reminds us of moses's face when he came down from the mountain remember that moses came down and everyone's like turn it down most that's just too bright his face was shining at night mrs moses moses i can't sleep it's too bright in the bedroom can you put something over your face the kids are like hey dad mom don't cover it up it's a nightlife in the book of corinthians paul's revelation is that this glory on moses was fleeing away how much more through christ the ministry of righteousness excels in glory stephen was standing like moses and his face was shining that's what your bible says you ever read that his face was it was a testimony to them they said we follow moses a glory that's gone stephen looking at christ the glory that's forever was a witness against them amen i'm going to take another break now number number 13 page 83 acts 8 17. then the apostles laid their hands on them and they received the holy spirit now this one i really love this is this one's good this is this is like one of my favorite just like the other one was my favorite because of the persecution in jerusalem mainly led by who saul the christians were fleeing scattering and they were preaching the gospel right so philip he watches stephen die so he decides i'm going to leave jerusalem and so he starts running right he gets to samaria and starts to preach the power of god falls signs and wonders start to happen and then the apostles in jerusalem hear about what's happening in samaria whoa now do you ever think about saul's apostolic calling right he's not even saved and he's the one that's causing the gospel to go to samaria isn't that powerful he's not even an apostle who's a christian and because of what he's doing he's pushing the gospel you know jesus said what jerusalem judea what samaria they hadn't gone to samaria yet did they but paul saw what he's doing in jerusalem is causing the gospel to go to fulfillment to the lord's words so peter they realized oh we're going to go up to samaria now watch this the samaritans were seen by the jews as half-breeds a low-caste people jews did not like samaritans samaritans did not like jews but in christ those apostles go up there there's the samaritans they love jesus they've received him i think peter is remembering the woman at the well she's a samaritan jesus stop it remember that john 4 now watch this how did the apostles receive the baptism of the holy spirit do you remember how did they receive it did someone lay hands on them no they the lord but not in samaria guess what they had to do come here i'm glad you came back let's pretend he's a samaritan and i'm peter before i did not like samaritans i'm a jew you're a samaritan you're unclean i'm clean yeah watch this peter has to take his hand and touch someone before he would never touch but the lord is establishing don't call them unclean and the jews had to physically touch them there's more to this than just receiving the baptism of the holy spirit jesus was breaking the wall of cultural division touched them got it so jesus is very wise at how he administrates the baptism of the holy spirit and we see that in this i think peter peter you know what peter probably walked away going i touched a samaritan and it felt good something was healed in him amen we don't know we don't know now there was in in jewish customs that laying on of hands that was in there moses laid hands on um oh who took over joshua he laid hands on joshua so we see the principle of importation it was in in in culture for many long years but we don't see any teaching of who taught them i know that they were led by the holy spirit touch the samaritans because normally they would not touch him but now they are praise god let's go on good question that's a great question number 14 paul receives the baptism of the holy spirit if your name is paul you can receive the baptism of the holy spirit ananias went his way entered into the house putting his hands on him said brother saul the lord even jesus that appeared unto you in the way when you came has sent me that you might receive sight and be filled with the holy spirit now this is important this one one reason why this is important is saul a jew had went to syria damascus he leaves the land of israel he's in a foreign country and he gets encountered by jesus he gets saved not only does he get saved outside of the land of israel but he receives this baptism of the holy spirit outside the land of israel what are you saying brother eric the power of salvation and the baptism of the holy spirit was not constrained to the holy land only it's for the whole world and paul was a demonstration of that i like the other side of this paul saul did not receive this baptism from peter or john or one of the key apostles did he no he received it from just a normal guy named ananias who loved jesus what does that teach us that the lord can use any member of his body to administrate this powerful baptism of blessing also no apostle peter james or john could have ever said paul remember i laid hands on you for the baptism of the holy spirit no no the lord did it sovereignly through a normal guy named ananias i love that the lord is very wise in how he does things and when you step back you go oh now i see the wisdom in what he's doing to the samaritans touch them to paul just a normal little guy named ananias go lay hands on him tell them receive yeah he's special he's in the bible but before he was in the bible nobody knew let's go to number 15. the gentiles received the baptism of the holy spirit while peter spake these words the holy ghost fell on all of them who heard the word the lord had promised that all nations would be blessed in abraham cornelius became the open door of the blessing of abraham coming on the gentiles through jesus christ in this baptism of the holy spirit the lord chooses to personally baptize the gentiles without the hands of the jewish apostles a president is set that later ensures that the jewish church based in jerusalem could never hold sway or authority over the gentile church the body of christ was one new man remember jerusalem before its destruction in 80 70 by titus had only become a had not only become a christian stronghold but a religious one as well even certain of the apostles had been affected by the religious fervor of the christian jews in jerusalem in 1870 jerusalem was destroyed by this and this religious church was scattered this event began the age of christianity in the hands of the gentiles before the roman destruction of jerusalem we see the hand of god plant like seeds peter and paul into rome in order to empower this new direction of christianity and its global mission what's what am i saying god is wise to the apostles in the upper room the lord baptized them in the holy spirit personally no man touched them to the samaritans the unclean people the jewish apostles had to touch him touch him to paul a normal layman go lay hands on him but now the gentiles nobody ever thought that the gentiles would come into christ and be a candidate for this much less romans they didn't like gentiles they really didn't like romans and here's i'm going to end with this and here's cornelius a guy that loves god he's a gentile he doesn't have the promises of israel he's outside the covenant and yet he loves god he's giving offerings to god and god knows his name he loves him and god uses this man cornelius as the open door so that you and i could be saved and filled with the [Music] [Music] there are roads that are still untouched [Music] it's a good time for a second of this seminar we start with the workshops and i invite brother nikolai and uh please you can uh have your seats and please put yourself together for this second part thank you blessings thank you brother peter you know peter asked me to to say a few words and he first when he introduced me to to do this he said hey just pray about it what god puts on your heart so i was thinking about it what i'm going to say what i'm going to share with you and then a couple days later he calls back and says hey if you don't have a topic yet i think maybe this is going to be a good topic to talk about and then i say you know brother that's exactly what i was thinking about so it's kind of confirmation to know that maybe that's what we need today and we want to hear uh you know um when uh uh so when we're in church and we've been talking to people you you know you wanna you and us from those that do mission work we try to kind of communicate and convince people why it's important um and for for some time i would tell people that uh you know even if you don't feel like it even if you kind of like can't call yourself a missionary um still go on a mission trip still go on a mission trip because um that uh god will show you something god will reveal you something so that's the mindset that i had for kind of quite a long time you know a worker when i was managing a team at my job we used to have different metrics statistics that each person have to meet i had this one guy on my team every single month he was a good good worker and all of that but every single month i was having a problem with him because he was never meet those metrics never and because of his metrics my team metrics were were down and my boss is like hey your team is not doing good so i'm trying all these different things i would motivate this person i was like listen this and that we have meetings with that person nothing seemed to work so one time this idea came to my mind because in our company if you want to get promoted to a different job it's very important to be involved in different things to be a leader in things so it's like let me do this one time so instead of me sending out those metrics to the team and showing how they are and motivating people on the team hey you need to do a better job and things like that this idea came that uh let me actually ask this guy to do that job for me so i did ask him i said okay from now on uh albert you're gonna be in charge of those metrics you're gonna do basically my job you're gonna send out to the team you're gonna motivate the team come up with the ideas how you're going to motivate them and if a team improves that's how it looks good for your resume if you decide to get promoted one day you can put on your resume that i was in charge of my team it started bad but we got better and you can brag about it so i remember the first day he comes to our team meeting he has this printout of all the metrics for all the people and then he says the following he says from this day on we need to be different we need to change these metrics like that sounds great so we goes by two weeks go by i was like wow this guy is has the best metrics on the team now because he felt like i'm important now it's my job it's my responsibility then i need to do something about it but i need to start with me first so that is my story my success story from work but that same time in a mindset i would apply and encourage people and say hey even if you don't feel this maybe like this this this spirit of mission work doing god's work give it a try because i believe once you try this it will change you so for very very long time that's what i was my belief in the way and that's what i would really hold on to dearly to that but as time has passed god revealed me something else as far as the mission work and let's for us open up the mark i was reading this passage from the new testament mark chapter 6 verse 36 and 37 mark 6 36 and 37 he says basically let's start from 35 it says when the day was now far spent his disciples came to him and said this is deserted place and already the hour is late send them away and they may go into the surrounding country in villages and buy themselves bread for they have nothing to eat and let me ask you this what was the jesus's answer what did he say you give them something to eat and they said to him shall we go and buy 200 denarius worth of bread and give them something to eat but then in verse 38 he says how many loves do you have so when i was reading this passage i was really convicted i would say you know i kind of told people go on a mission trip and that's going to change you that's going to do something in your life but god has revealed me something different yes i'm not saying it was wrong i'm not saying the way i was thinking it was it was on the wrong path that still remains true god still is able to change you and reveal you certain things but god kind of convicted me and says listen in order for you to give to somebody you have to have it yourself can we say amen on that look what disciples do they say hey we have a problem on our hands we have a bunch of hungry people so they are hanging out with jesus and says jesus do all this work that's your job that's your responsibility and jesus turns fingers on them and says no you give him food but then he follows up with the question and he says what do you have so the question is for us for anybody they want to do god's work they want to be missionaries i believe that's the question that god is asking you and me what do you have because in order for you to give you have to have it yourself you have to have it yourself you might say i have a little that doesn't that that's that's not a factor god can multiply that but he asking a question what do you have and look another passage from acts 3 5 and 6 let's open up real quick we know this story so he gave him his attention expecting to receive something from them remember there was a bagger asking for something and in verse 6 it says then peter said silver gold i do not have but what i do have i give you in the name of jesus christ of nazareth rise up and walk do you see what's going on here since i do not have silver or gold but what i do have i give it to you rise up and walk let me ask you this could john and and and peter could have given this man what they gave if they didn't have no no but it says what we have we give you let's open up from matthew chapter 5 verse 13. chapter 5 verse 13 you are the salt of the earth but if the salt loses its flavor how shall it be season it is then god good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled under food by man you are the light of the world the city that is set on the hill cannot be hidden nor do they light a light a lamp and put it under a basket but in lampstand and it gives light to all who are in the house this is what jesus says to his disciples it says you are salt you are something that you have he says you are light that's something that we have we have light we have salt we are the followers of christ and jesus says but here's what he says in this passage it's possible for somebody not to have that salt it's possible for somebody not to have that light but jesus says no you are lied to this world you are sold to this world so what did somebody ask you what do you have i am the salt i am the light so going back to what i was saying early what god spoke to me you want to do god's work you want to go and preach to people but the question is what do you have what do you have the last passage in matthew 17 21 we read the following whoever this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting we know that father brought his son to his disciples and says cast out the demon out of my son he's been struggling for many years and the reason why he brought it to disciples because they were actually doing similar things before but in this particular occasion that did not happen so disciples they're asking jesus what's wrong what's going on what happened why we could not cast out this demon out of this young man and jesus replied because this particular kind only goes with prayer and fasting what that means they could they were not successful in their job because they did not have something that they needed brother eric he was reading a lot of these passages from acts and in acts 1 8 it says very very very very powerful passage there acts 1 8 it says you will receive power become my witnesses in jerusalem samaria and to the ends of the world see what it says there so they were disciples of jesus they were hanging out with him they saw the miracles they saw all those different things but let me ask you a question what is a witness what does it mean what's the definition of a witness somebody who saw it i remember in ukraine we were going to see my grandma my dad gets gets pulled over by police we were just driving no no we didn't do anything wrong they just got pulled over so my dad asked him why did you pull me over and he says you're going to be a witness to an accident my dad says how can i be a witness to an accident if i didn't see one that's how old school things get done in ukraine right you just get pulled over if you need a witness you're just gonna be one so how can i be a witness if i was never seen this accident and this is what the word of god is telling us for you and me brothers and sisters in order for us to become a witness we need to witness something in our life we need to witness christ we need to witness the power of god this is what this is how it worked we see that this book of acts only began not just jesus raised from the dead and think they just started go out and started preaching the gospel no the bible says the first received the power so they first got something to have they needed something to have and only then when they received the power that's when it got activated this is why action began so this is my little shirt that i wanted to share for all of us brothers and sisters those that are doing any kind of god's work especially in the ministry of ministry and preaching the gospel i tell you what every single person who's been on a mission trip or every single person who go into that environment we know 100 not only that we feel it in our spirit but we fill it with our own eyes to be going to spiritual warfare how many times been you guys been only like a crusade or preaching the gospel that you just see the devil just doing his work the people the devil starts to manifest himself the people just start fainting this the circumstances just like accidents and things just happens and you like realize what's going on because when you're in church we are just all believers the devil kind of knows you know you stay away from there those are just people kind of just worshiping god you kind of like they already have a purpose it's all of them united but as soon as you kind of step out into that in different environment into the territory of devil you you feel it you feel it in your body you feel it in your spirit you feel it there's just everything just against you can you guys say amen that you see those those forces they're just kind of against you you see the tickets can cancel you go on a mission trip people starting to get sick things are just starting things just kind of like start to fall apart and you start asking yourself a question where is that all coming from everything seemed to go smooth everything seemed to go so well but why everything's just kind of like what i do next because you realize that you are against this spiritual warfare and if you don't have this power if you don't have this in you you're not going to be victorious i still don't discredit what i was thinking before because i believe when a person goes on a mission trip even if they go kind of with no motivation they go with nothing like that i believe when they go on a mission trip what they realize that if god is not with them there's nothing they can do so at the end of the day do you still learn the lesson you still learn that without god without his power without his anointing there is nothing you can do you cannot convert those people you cannot change these people nothing can get done but again it's still a lesson for you so even if you're at that stage where you're kind of like not sure i'm just like i don't know if i should or not i still encourage you yes do because at the end of the day you will see wow there's nothing i can do i need to see god more and more i need to kind of like dig for his power dig for him for for his revelation to me personally so the question is for you and me what do you have ask yourself that question what do you have because it's a spiritual warfare if you don't have nothing it's going to be tough but again we're not left just empty-handed that power is handed to us holy spirit is with us come and receive but you do this on your knees you do this by going deep in the word of god god has given to you and me so if you can answer yourself a question and say god i really don't have it i really don't have but i'm willing to take it but i'm willing to receive it i'll give it to you thank you we have a workshop it's a working since we have a workshop and as a missionary next wednesday about god's grace we're supposed to be fly from miami to the dominican republic hi this is the jeweller missionary you got a ticket ilyana you got a ticket uh well let's keep you guys here but what do you have what's practical what she should bring the testimony viable did she have to have a bible with her at the end there'll be the question for her bible what she wants to answer what what do you have she already has all of this right we need the bible i would say listen was preparation we need to have a bible with us we need to have jesus send it to them go check what you got they brought so small first personal testimony why you baptized why you follow the christ can we take that to the dominican republic well that's going to be good starting point and jesus probably said yes so that would be i would say that would be one of the things i can take out of the the the context which has been heard right now practically so make sure where they should practice their testimony on home on mom and dad maybe younger siblings if you have set them up at the church i mean they're like a church at the kitchen and give them take the undivided attention and try your testimony on them practice that so check what you have to bring to the mission trip to the dominican republic i would yeah see that's the interesting point the disciples didn't come to jesus and says jesus we have five breads and a little bit of fish right let's do something about it they completely forgot what they had you know what i mean so what i believe that this time that you're going to have preparing yourself for the mission trip it will help you refresh your memory what you have what do you have you will have he was like yes i am the child of god yes i am redeemed and paid by the blood of jesus christ i am baptized with the holy spirit and the power god is on me that's something that you will kind of like yes i have that yeah i need maybe grow in that but i do have that i already have something and god will use that that personal testimony for others but first you need to refresh your memory he needs to refresh your faith he needs to refresh your spirit that you have that and you continue on that now like i said when you go on a mission trip you realize without god there is nothing you can do so right now realizing that you're going on a mission trip you're gonna realize god you know what i need you like never before so you're going to bound on your knees you're going to open up the word of god and say lord i really need to go deep here and you really need to to to brush up i really need to polish my testimony i really need to to polish my relationship with you god because i'm going to sound like a hypocrite tell these people that jesus loves them but in my heart i don't fully feel it you're going to tell people about the power of god but you don't fully experience that in your own life do you see what i mean so god is going to work on you personally but you have to be open and say god help me help me help me grow praying we'll do fasting on monday together as a team praying it doesn't have to be just on monday you can continue to pray every evening maybe you're going to walk around your community go around your pool area and you're going to start praying god help me i really see your glory when i go on this mission trip but not just mission trip but beyond that beyond that so yes peter touched up on some practical things the word of god praying fasting thinking about it so uh eric and nikolai thank you so much for your speech it was beneficial for us and blessing so i would like to invite peter pastor peter and pastor paul and eric to stage so uh i have started a question for each of you but before i would like to introduce so eric is a international evangelist he visited i don't know how many a country do you visit um over 40 i guess see so also we have a pastor peter he is the director of missionary department of slavic church and he visited probably how many probably probably doesn't not as much as foster eric maybe just the one dozen yeah but still it counts right so also we have pastor paul before he was working in a missionary missionary in ukraine and he was very good experience so i have a question and my question first for eric i saw before questions i have a story in one church young people had dreamed to go to one specific group two of people to preach the gospel to them they shared the dream with pastor and share their project those young people who raised all money needed for the year project and were already to go on mission when they came they were not even able to find that group my question is how to recognize god's voice and do right decision well in this situation i would say the pastor didn't know the voice of the lord because when you're dealing with young people who are learning to follow christ jesus said my sheep hear and know my voice he is a lord that speaks and the lord is clear we're not but he is and as a pastor his responsibility was to listen to encourage what's going on in their heart and by listening begin to discern where the voice of the lord is if he doesn't have confirmation he should have then spent time praying before just turning loose these young people into something he doesn't even know he is their shepherd so he has to realize there is a great shepherd over them that cares for them they're not learning yet to really discern like samuel he couldn't discern the voice of the lord he was new to it it took eli to say go back and listen and now say and as older men that's our job as we listen to the young make sure that we're encouraging this desire but also saying lord you have to help me because i'm over them are you speaking to them and to have an understanding that's that was my first thought concerning this example so i also know pastor that as we mature in the lord we get to understand his voice more but you and i know if we've been around we still miss it there are times we still maybe we're too busy and we're not slowing down to really understand there's nothing no problems with the voice of the lord it's it's us so that's where relationships with other people that you know encourage and listen with you when it's a big decision pray with me peter i need clarity so we have the body to lean upon to help us discern um you know it's it's interesting in the book of acts first chapter the apostles realized judas has died his office called a bishop is empty so they began to pray lord they're supposed to be 12 but this one's empty so you've got to fill it and and but the lord didn't answer that so they said well we're not hearing from the lord we'll do the answer so they got little sticks and began to draw the sticks and the lord had never taught that about prayer there's not one scripture pastor where the lord said when you pray to the father pick up sticks and then begin to draw them right even these messed up big time and so as people we're learning to listen when we miss it we can always go back and realize i missed it here and we correct that and realize the lord is always clear we have to mature but in this situation pastor i really believe the pastor over them could have done a better job yeah i like it you answer so responsibility to pastors to help so maybe peter and paul would like to add something for that well as in about in the bible the division says about he put in the church pastors teachers to uh what would be english words to prepare for those it's their is their responsibility sometimes it is very possible the people is that who is in in charge the others are like chaperones they see first the gifts a calling the people they responsible for before even people in the church congregation see the collins so that's where it's like you're the father your parents you see the gift in your child he's a good for a mass this is the good for with music this is the good with the sports so the kids didn't even know they just played the things just plain there's appearance we see that it's our responsibility to bring them to their calling to their destiny so it's just in the family same thing in the spiritual realms that's that's yes i would like to add just a little bit to the story i think it's not just responsibility of the pastor's leader to hit the voice of god but every member of the team of the group supposed to kind of receive the same revelation and we as the christian where it's not like blindfolded leader to the leading to whatever people say if you say go do this go do this or go sell your house give me two missionaries or whatever do i do this right away i'm not that full if you leader tell me something my responsibility to get that same revelation to be accordance to the god to receive god you gave me revelation my leader tell me the same thing and your word everything's supposed to be according to the word of god god give us the spirit to discern is the will of god is that the leader actually gonna lead me to the good destination or got a mislead you know this is why bible really said his sheeps listen his voice remember it's not saying like leader's voice we need to through the leader still here whose voice means jesus supposed to clear personally to me the the leadership of the or the leader and the leadership of the god supposed to be occurred in one accord then supposed to combine or get to my heart and say i received a revelation through my pastor to my leader revelation of god from god this is the maybe one of the most important message people to supposed to hear today because so many people they just what follower follow their people but at the same time follow people you're supposed to be follower of god this is the most important topic for today's people to today church especially for the youth don't be mislead even by a christian or spiritual leader this is very important it's very good keeping microphone so we're going to continue this very interesting topic so i have a question for you paul some people believe that when to refuse to obey god's call he will punish for that and because of that they are suffering why they did not listen to god's voice question is is it true that god will punish those who refuse to go to mission field it's a very interesting very nice question because everybody actually asked that question for themselves what if i do the god spill what if i'm not do and so maybe people actually believe god gonna punish me if i'm not do what god asked me to do you cannot actually i would say straight uh give the answer straight yes or no i just get little kind of point to think or uh about something for example first of all people so many times don't realize what's the will of god some people do the job of god or the will of god just because they scare you be punished i don't think it is the right way and that i don't think god wants you to be kind of you know like like puppet whatever hey i want to do this go do this or if not i'm gonna punish you go do this go do this go say this go donate this go this missionary trip if you don't do you're gonna get another spank i don't think it's god this way god god's will first of all we have a god's will good will means straight will from god what god wants us to do if we not the follow the god's will god has a there is another will it's not a straight from god but god still leads us he still child of god and another will of god when we not even listen to god he's still our god and what's what i want to actually say or the first the will so god for us to be missionary to actually go on a mission is the will of god but so many times you don't listen there is one example of the bible in the bible that they know the jonah remember the jonah he actually actually is the good example if people read the from old testament the book of jonah the they believe if you don't go or don't do what god said then it's not going to be blessed you're going to get punished you're still going to get to the point that god wants to be is there anybody here like this think of this yeah so so many times here people think hey yeah i'm going to be swallowed by fish even if you swallow still you're going to go whatever god's going to send you but god you're still going to do first of all god wants our free will to do the will of god this is that and the biggest blessing to be in the center of the word of god if you think god's blessing for you god sent you to do this and you receive this calling and you fulfill this calling you are the blessed you are the most blessed people at the best position to be in the center of the god's will the number one secondly if people say think i'm i'm not gonna do i'm not sure this this is the will of god oh i'm going to do my way i don't think is god going to chasing you you're going to punish you're going to kill you until you get to the point to do the will of god this is not the heart of god yeah we have a bible story but this is not the heart of god the heart of god god wants you to reveal himself in his will and then send you to do if you do by willingly you're gonna receive reward remember that that so many many passages in the bible but if you don't do god gonna look maybe for another person for another man yeah he can teach you the lesson to actually get you get back on the right right path on a get back to the will of god but i don't think according to the new testament god doesn't want actually to chase you or punish you to the point out until you actually get to do his will like jonas in the old testament i thought that was a great answer i mean um the lord works with us in different ways concerning our capacity we say measure in english and in jonah's case jonah was a prophet he knew the voice of the lord he wasn't new he clearly knew and when he clearly knew he clearly decided to disobey the weight of nina nineveh the weight of the judgment and the potential harvest was so great these people about ready to die or they're about ready to live i mean it's just right here and jonah was the one who was supposed to obey what i find is that pastor when we're called to go to a people or do something i think sometimes we feel the weight of that calling that harvest that if we say no then that weight begins to work against us it's not god working against us it's the weight of what they're under we opened the door to but if we choose to obey then we enter into a joy of the lord to bring his spirit and his word and he empowers us with grace to do the work so in disobedience we come under a weight of what god wanted to deal with it's like an open door for example the church is called to the harvest fields the church that says no to the harvest field eventually will crush under the weight of the harvest because it never obeyed so the weight that's in this harvest will eventually just destroy that church but if we go then there's a joy of the lord in that obedience that enables us to work in the fields so i think the way i'm trying to answer is some people say well god is going to judge you and get you well i don't think he has to i think you've opened the door to your own judgment the lord is going please just obey me and then you have the devil he's like if i can kill you while you're in disobedience then that would be really good because then i really stop you so it's always better to obey but i don't think god is up there with a hammer you know but the truth is i guess if we die and stand before him then he will talk about it and and you know i think pastor i agree with you it's different casey just for jonah and for church how about peter what do you think same way pretty much i agree with what been said already we there is god's will we read in the romans i believe 12 that that the perfect what would be in english acceptable and perfect so sometimes it's acceptable it's not a god's choice so that would be my answer on that so it is god still give us that room to grow it's like again i'm a father of four children if he didn't didn't listen to me didn't do it exactly what i gave it to him will i love him or when i love him less no i just love him with a sad heart but i still go around again and again either i'm going to do it myself or i'm going to ask his sister or brother to do it and one one minister said lord reveal to him if you say no you'll be third person i'm asking for so i don't know how many people got asked before me do you want to be that misunvoid no that's that's we i truly believe the kingdom of god it's joy freedom is no pushy it's not pushy it's justice so i don't know how that you know would combine all together it's no god didn't push people yes the judgment is there the accountability is there but in meantime he's the kind of god that i learn i experience the merciful he is a patient and he give a freedom and i choose when i go to the airport go to ukraine in my ticket cost two thousand dollars do i care about hundred twenty dollars ticket speaker speeding ticket no am i willing to drive faster to catch my ukrainian airplane yes i do why because calculation is simple is it a choice there is my choice am i responsible for this choice yes so that's the same thing so the am i missing so that's the kind of good example i would do people choose not to go mission trips people choose not to give the money when we ask hey we need the money for food we need the money for t-shirts people choose give it it's a choice well they became they lose salvation no so that is the kind of beautiful god we have yeah thank you thank you so much for conversation i have not yet i have last i have last question yeah go ahead you want to add it to go yeah it's very it's much better approach when we think if is god gonna going to punish me if i'd not go it's very approached when you say god what kind of blessing am i going to experience when i gonna listen to you what i'm missing yeah what are you gonna miss like for example if god put my heart to go and give testimony to somebody imagine how i gonna feel when i actually do this i'm gonna see the person actually get saved through this through this through this through this message and then to the end of my life even on the point of death i remember this guy he gets saved because what my obedience to my god my ministry you know this is the best joy like bible say it's much better blessing to what you then to receive imagine somebody give to their missionaries give to their poor people like you remember that the video support the videos or help those people who need it's joy on the face people giving away money thousands the money dollars and they saw what helped so so happy then people who go and spend maybe what to buy some some you know like a rich you know vacation trip whatever or some do something like this this is the best approach i think christians supposed to you know do when they decide do the will of god concerning mission trips the greatest way to see a foreign nation is through the eyes of god because i've done a lot of mission trips and they're always better than a tourist trip where you just go and take pictures and walk around it's not even close thank you so much for your answers last question is there are people who receive it call from god and willingly answer with yes to that call ready to go on a mission but family does not support them in the decision and even pastor does not share the wisdom there is no support at all question is what is your recommendation to those people peter you're first well the answer is very simple it's very very deep questions not just that we start with the mission trips of course if your family are not supporting you your wife if you have one children or a mom parents if you still under authority in the house if they say no they are the first god's voice in your house it's your mom and dad i'm speaking to the young people that's the that's the first that's that's your ammo right there if they are christian they're part of the they're part of the local church they live good christian life they don't live double life if they say no that's the voice of god that's the angel speak to you through mom and dad take it um that's number one uh if your parents not christian or like a lot of people came from background muslim whatever yes you have to choose you already chosen to follow christ listen but we're talking about christian normal family like our said in our church in people like us 600 it has to be support if god will speak to you he will speak to those who the decisions may have to make part of it it's a package deal if there is they didn't receive the revelation yet then i think it's time for you to prep prep yourself more that's the my answer but the question is would be uh i guess i stand there i'll give the brothers if i edit i edit later you might answer the questions my question what was supposed to be to do if my personal support even pastor and anybody to support my vision to go to mission field simple uh if you are still well let's put this way some of the i say very strong stuff there is so some what i found the biggest obstacle for mission work maybe it's sorry to say it lays inside of the some of the churches somehow some churches i say very strongly they missed a full in understanding of calling of god they were so excited about sunday service attendance and to just to move people to actually go be generous to others sometimes it's hard the people who for example because idea of the whole church you just bring everybody into it and finally you want to destroy you just put together so that's the hardest part and sometimes so many churches or pastors did not see the great commission it's it's ridiculous it's not supposed to be the pastor and the church supposed to be first who go and go to the mission work if that happens yes it's very small percentage but it's very strong opposition to work itself for for a ministry if you ask and say why they have so many reasons why the program are just afraid to it will destroy what they've been put together unfortunately the people who have nothing to lose they just came from the world they didn't establish no ministry yet they didn't establish no choir no church they didn't purchase the building they so open let's go to the end of the world because they have nothing to lose so there is a balance in there speaking on that because i know a lot of people young people they can receive revelation oh god calling me to the ministry who are you pastor who are you people there is another another extreme it's got to be in the balance is it possible so sometimes god calling you but nobody supports you yes no family no pastors no even church which is supposed to be is it possible yes what do you do then continue to pray give a time and ask the god god if you speak and change something change in me or change in my authority who i'm under is the church is it denomination people around me give it don't be so quick so many people when they saw young they just received the clear the voice of god but timing is not right they just throw all kind of authorities out they say i'm going and they make mistake they fail never been like this one bible example paul he received revelation apostle paul god called him to the nations but john no jake james didn't receive that yet and it was a period of time when god actually they was praying in different church it was through the prayer and fast and god support to separate from me paul and barnaba science for the ministry i call them the that what do you think that even in prayer meeting the paul just received the revelation no he walked with that revelation in jerusalem yet but it takes time to help god release him through the local pastors in the church that's why he's successful that's why he's never failed that's why we have 20 28 books of book of acts because he was waiting been prepared he'd been cooked to the end so when he released that's why he's not breakdown so that's the things and i believe in that you give it to give a time if it's god's church in god's people eventually god will move because that's his business so again i agree with you paul what is your practical recommendation for those people yeah if the first of all if somebody receive revelation that what age if you ask your parents and you under the age like you're 15 14 13 you're more required of them to listen your parents because you under their authority even you think you receive the word of god like samuel in the early age like people designed they believe in uh he was in age like 13 he was in teenage but it depends if you already like 18 21 30 and you come to your parents and hey can you bless me for the missionary trip no what are you going to get from this if you go to college study then you get a good business you're going to get money but if you go for missionary trip or be missionary school you know go to missionary school what they gonna say normally normally what people gonna say no they normally they're gonna say no even christian because what you're not gonna get money you know you're not gonna make you know like career or something you know you're not gonna live for this how are you gonna live you know this is the most the people approach i know so many parents they're good christian they're good parents but you go toward haiti they gonna kill you i don't want you to get killed or put you in a danger you're my son i love you you're my daughter you know they don't want that you know they parents they love you but they don't want you actually to be in the will of god maybe you got that call it but like say if you age 13 i would better stay and listen because you still under they are authority but if you already like 25 you're 25 you 40 people say still say hey don't go because there is danger or you're not going to get money from this you're going to live with this you're not making a career a business you know i would kind of double check it's good point like you said to pray for this because normally god through the parents through the pastors through church they're going to give you the kind of kind of you know same revelation like you receive but i know so many even places in the bible for example how many supporters supports jesus ministry just think of this like i say it starts from parents he stay they go to the jerusalem remember what's happened they actually what they lost they get on the journey for three days no jesus you know how mama was sometime mama mary was abs upset and joseph they finally get to get they get back and first what what you remember what she's what she said to him to have loud son beloved well you know what show mama said what she did to us yeah what she do to us but he is obey to parents yes but in the reality in reality he didn't say i gonna say but the same times mary was disappointed in reality she was disappointed if he would be very very listening boy he would just what follow them but he did it because i have to be what in god's house this is my mission this is my ministry maybe you don't agree right now you don't understand about what this is my job and little by little they go to this you know then secondly how many brothers and sisters support jesus ministry just be honest not later maybe gmb yeah but imagine during this this his life nobody's supported him and even people from his actually paul mamas always supported him mom yes yeah i mean supported she didn't unders understand even that time i mean because he was young she kind of i would say barely understand his mission who we're gonna be what's his mission then go a little bit farther a little bit further even during the time of his uh trial or crucifixion how many people actually was staying next to him let's do it next to jesus who's supposed to support him it looks like three accordion right yeah john mary imam yeah mama yeah not so many even the apostles they were they scattered the period was far away but he was there even even he was following them finally he was denied three times and what what he he went to to cry i'm just giving you just the the example from rabbi another like like say who in jesus christ what how church like legal church support him but by this time pharisee no sadducee scribes high priest how they support him remember the high priest would they they actually make a final decision about his what crucifixion and his name remember who was there at the time it's it's very ridiculous very hard but the top religion leader he actually what signing jesus to be what to be killed it's hard but it's in the bible let's let's move on like uh uh peter's ministry how he would if he would ask the brothers or apostle to to go to the house of cornelius would he ever go if he asked if we get permission you mean yeah he did and he said we're going to answer later and he said he took eight people with him right of six it was half of the twelve who gonna make decision on him but the first he'll obey a listen he received revelation from god remember and god said go with those people and do the missionary i sent you to do then after he came back he stand before apostle like what to give you actually count yeah on the carpet on the carpet yeah and what he's the answer what this is what i did i received the word of god i received revelation now it's my account to you means he gave account he kind of wasn't you know rebellion apostles i received from god he didn't say that but he give the accountability but remember his will his vision his revelation wasn't according to the revelation of other brothers this is why just something to actually think you know of of this i know so many like for example people who like don't uh they receive revelation they come to the pastor and professor he doesn't agree yes you don't have to divide the church you don't have to be you know to upset down everything actually you did or passed today you don't have to do this so you can say brother pastor please bless me i want to open new ministry i want to what do the whatever the feed the hunger i would go to haiti whatever if you don't agree with your pastor just receive the blessing and go do the ministry god called you to do sometimes you know it's the another thing what i would recommend it don't ask just the local pastor this is the what people actually notice local pastor he's like like mom i want you to be over here next to me yeah next to me you my deacon i don't want you to go wherever to haiti or to brazil to whatever ministry i want you to be in a service it's it's good it's like mom want to keep everybody together but some of the pastors on a you know bishop if you ask them they know the the local mamas you know the mind yeah the kingdom of mind they say they say hey if you receive the word of god you receive the revelation as the bishop i bless you ask the blessing of your pastor and go to your ministry i know so many examples people actually do this and they bless but don't be rebellion against authority don't do it do division in church don't do like something against your parents you know your friends don't do this this is not the will of god so your question is very simple if you under 18 follow your parents is my if you're not to follow your column yeah poland calling very strong um you know this it's a lot of stuff a lot of stuff we kind of go around be politically nice and correct when i i just come to those i think i have to release that one that people come to joshua and they're gonna say we will obey him to you like we've been obedient to moses tell you obedient to lord so what i like about the christ in the church and the teaching every one of us pastors bishops we all in the radar of word of god if it's if it's person who is above you not in the authority or word of god well this is okay to follow the god not authority which is will not not any longer on the authority of god jesus apostle said to to to those pharisees why we told you don't preach about this name they say listen you the you believe in god they say yes that's why we call you here because you disturb the city he said we believe in god who we should listen more you or god so that's a maturity level and it comes to this a lot of people they pray they're obedient you can go for so long tell that word of god will speak to you and you'll receive one i like was one pastor tell tell me if you grow enough to hear the voice of god and take responsibility the god will speak to you if you're not yet then stay with your parents as you're under 18. stay with the church with the pastors with whatever be obedient joseph beautiful history god speak to him he didn't speak to jacob he gave him a vision he gave him calling young people so many blonde people they received the vision but it's not in that family setting he share he messing up if he would be a good if if he would have a good discipleship or or what he called this mentor he would say joseph you don't speak to brothers like this joseph you colin is good so but he didn't know that he got himself in trouble but god still saved him because motivation was right and the revelation was right and then after end he said don't don't worry about when he talked to the brother after his father has died no god put me in here so whether you evil you did this this this all your tricks you know what i see through there was a god because i was now received the colon this is the most important answer today is so many young people right now who had received the calling from god but their calling was not recognized in the church not recognizing spiritual leaders yet not recognize in the family what they're supposed to do continue to pray continue to be an obedient till the time will come when god said i see you when he says to jacob i see what's the lavon doing for you not for your time to go that's my answer that's the safest way you you're not going to say oh you know my pastors did this like pastor paul was saying you know i'm following this my your god didn't god want to speak in you and when he's speaking you he will take care of that road to the ministry to the people who is under authority some will be test when we have to be obedient we have to go but if one of the part the leadership church pastors family will not be obedient the god will release you into the ministry then it's going to be legal way for you but you we have to you have to give the time thank you so much our time is out so i would like to ask eric to pray about young people to make right decision so i would like to invite you to pray you know young people so many times when we're listening to god we want to create the big cake the big wedding cake and god says have you ever made a cookie learn to make a cookie and be faithful and let the lord build and then you can make the big cake god is a god of steps father i pray for every one of our wonderful friends watching i want to thank you for the gifts and callings we we love them father protect these gifts and callings we ask for nurturing you are el shaddai that el shaddai would come over these young people and begin to develop and to pull these gifts and these callings out that they would not trade the holy and righteous gifts for the uncleanness of the world that they would not be deceived and take their gift and use it in an unclean world but that they would use it for the kingdom to bring light into the world father we pray for the finances needed not just today but the finances down the road father we thank you for this in jesus name amen thank you so much brother eric while the brother gets ready for the stage today we have with us brother vasily there's a missionary director of uh seminary in kiev ukraine and 40 years we uh we know each other for almost 20 years now and i was uh looked at your biography through your relatives through your mean you talking and i know god called you into the ministry to be evangelism evangelism in outreach was very very early early your early years of your stage and i know one other things you've been always dream about i've been told and you've been told you hear from you from the others to be a full-time minister i know there's some people thinking and dreaming about who the god where the god wants them to see for example from our church we have a two missionary who is in a bible school today right now as a from murder family so and a lot of people say what you throw you six months out of your year or one year you could go to study you could get a profession you can go to some good career so what is your recommendation what is your life experience now you ministering at least last almost it would be fourth term for you third term four years you you hold the position and you lead this ministry in the kiev locally and internationally please answer and give advice so my answer is very short if you would like to be full-time missionary so it's very hard it's not too easy it's too much obstacles over there but it's blessing way that's my answer well let me ask you this you think the people who actually try to i have a one friend very good pastor from up north state he when god called him into the ministry about 10 years ago he was thought about this i have a family i have a children i have a bills to pay his idea was to build the uh business and then i will go into the full-time ministry because he wanna will be financially sustained not rely on those uh offerings not rely on those because he said like this if i'm gonna be a rely on the offerings if i want to buy the new bike mongoose for my kid so i don't have to worry about the church we'll say well you buy from our donation or like you know he said i want to be free so i want to protect my family financially and then me i will serve the lord and go like this 10 years forward he established very strong business another one multi-million business another one couple different branches and question is he said to me when i was standing right there he said he shared i truly understand either i go into full-time ministry or i'm going to build a business and then go in full-time ministry so now he's still in god's will he's got calling and uh what do you say to that is it better off people like this when they have a financial were they missing the will of god well they're fully obedient let's ask you this one god called on us in a full-time ministry is that the part of the obedience to god or we still want to be be obedient to god but still have their own plate do you know it is a good question no it's a good question so missionary ag we always have to answer if god called you god provide you but you have to rely on god of course that you're supposed to be to obey god god's way that's all what you need reliable on god all the time of course we just come back from a trip we was in atlanta i was flying to atlanta georgia and at the airport tampa airport one of the workers meet us and after short conversation he said are you the pastors there was a pastor nikolai future boston nicolai future pastor taras in myself they say yeah we're flying to conference and he said to us never forgot the frog he was like he said i'm a deacon i'm in the church i said well we can see he said never forgot forgot the frog what is what definition for it fully rely on god yes yes thank you so much for your question so my last is [Music] i have advice to young people if you go to god's way god always support you he always protect you but another way god have a reward for you when you go to heaven it's very important everything in the earth is temporary it's nothing thank you thank you brother are you ready for a second i mean third session we are ready and brother eric we are we're all yours and god's hands we believe i appreciate you coming this is exciting we've talked about the operations of god administrations briefly we laid the foundation of the baptism of the holy spirit which is the primary crown of god's glory upon this operation called the church time the church age so let's take open your book i want you to turn to page four now when i opened up about the facts of acts there was the very last point i didn't talk about but when we'll talk now saving it for the best at uh page four at the very bottom the bible lists five things that hinder the church from walking in the gifts or or in the operations of the holy spirit do you want to know what those are yeah number one lack of desire you don't have desire god doesn't give interesting isn't it right number two ignorance paul said in first corinthians 12 1 don't be ignorant i want you not to be ignorant that's why we're doing this we're educating ourselves not to be ignorant have you ever called someone ignorant now in the american culture in english we like that word i grew up saying you are ignorant i don't know how that sounds with you all but in american english where i grew up in ohio that was a very kind you are ignorant meaning you're stupid but i'm giving you some cultural training here understanding ignorant don't be untaught unlearned unbelief wow mark 16 14 when jesus came in he looked at his disciples the apostles he rebuked them because of their unbelief now if they can have unbelief peter james john what about me what about you oh you know and i'm going to be honest as as men who stand in callings i stand in a calling i stand in a tried and proven calling i was sent to to to england no man put the blessing other than my pastor he didn't even know how it was going to happen but god's hand upon me opened that nation met the prince charles things came together and then i began to go into other nations supernaturally that proven ministry is on me but that doesn't mean that i can't be judged by these things a lot of times as leaders we like our position but we don't want to hear the lord say i got something to say to you eric well what do you want to say lord you're in unbelief oh you are ignorant you don't desire oh i'm talking about leaders leaders people in called positions we're judged by these things why because this is the age of the holy spirit on the church not the pastor the holy spirit leads the church not the pastor not the apostle not the prophet not the evangelist and not the teacher it is the holy spirit the spirit of christ is the spirit of liberty he is the one who sets the direction we are called to follow him and these things are important lack of desire ignorance unbelief hardness of heart and prayerlessness prayerlessness i i realize that when i fast or when i pray more i'm just sensitive and things just happen when i haven't been praying as much it's not so easy isn't that right prayer you can miss it prayer is so important isn't it jesus prayed a lot and so we'll talk about maybe i hope i don't know if we'll get to prayer or not in this so let's look at the gifts of the holy spirit let's go now i didn't get to finish the baptism of the holy ghost you just have to do that yourself h89 now if paul by the holy spirit says don't be ignorant then that means we need to be educated when we educate in the word of god our faith works when our faith is working then we're able to receive when it comes to the gifts of the holy spirit in first corinthians chapter 12 there are nine of these graces charisma and i said i'm not sure i like the word gift but we use the word gift okay because the the holy spirit he he does it and it's kind of like a gift isn't it it's wonderful but the better term is the charisma the graces of god these operations of the holy spirit to us are graces there are nine of these grace charismas when we look at these nine graces we see that there are three sets of three categories now let me say this the number three is an important number for god right father son holy spirit man created in the image of god spirit soul and body three in the bible there's only three geographical locations heaven earth and where hell only three so all through creation we see the number 3 is a vital number it's a stamp of god well even with the gifts of the holy spirit there are nine but they're broken into three sets of three the first set of three we would call revelation gifts gifts that are seeking gifts like if you have a jar and you can't see in it but when you take the lid off all of a sudden you can see right these revelation gifts cause you to see they're called the word of wisdom the word of knowledge and the discerning of spirits there's three of them the word of wisdom is a gift that is able to see into the future it gives one access to the mind and the purposes of god it is not wisdom like in the book of proverbs wisdom for daily living it's not that wisdom for daily living we're commanded ask god for this wisdom read the book of proverbs learn about wisdom the wisdom that comes from above is first pure peaceful easy to do that is not this wisdom this wisdom comes by the holy spirit as the holy spirit wills not as you will wisdom for daily living my will and the holy spirit says that god says you will and come to me and i give it that's different it's a different wisdom this wisdom is very different this word in operation is what you would say is the mark upon a prophet isaiah a prophet through the word of wisdom was looking into the future that a virgin would give birth oh think about that he was seeing into the mind of god into the will of god into the future a virgin now he didn't know what that meant so we know that's not the wisdom for daily living wisdom for daily living says this is how you take knowledge and you work it out and it works that's different this is a gift of the holy spirit and it comes as a word every messianic prophecy came out of this operation of revelation seeing into the future seeing into the mind and the plans of god the word of knowledge has to do with information not into the future but present and past the book of genesis written by moses was operating under this operation how did moses know so much about life before the flood only by this revelation the holy spirit was showing him what he had to write it's part of that gift and we're going to talk a lot about this the word of knowledge when peter looks at ananias and says ananias i have some knowledge what you're telling me is not true that's knowledge it's not looking into the future is present tense so the word of knowledge another gift that prophets operate under this gift of the holy spirit this operation of grace the discerning of spirits is the third revelation gift it is a gift that sees into the spirit realm in order to judge in the spirit realm for example jesus looks at peter and says get behind me satan jesus wasn't operating a word of wisdom looking into the future understanding the mind of god wasn't that jesus wasn't working in a word of knowledge past and present no jesus was seeing into the spirit and he saw satan right there he says get behind me satan he could see it these are different operations but they're in the realm of revelation the bible was written by these gifts whether it's book of revelation where paul where john is seeing into the future and having this whole vision for people like moses writing genesis even luke writing the book of acts and all of that he didn't experience all that but through the holy spirit he was writing it by knowledge these revelation gifts come as the holy spirit wills not as you and i will he is the leader of the church and he works through us he works with us and we work with him the next set of gifts are what we call power gifts gifts that do something the gift of faith the gifts of healings and the working of miracles all three are gifts of power they're all the power of god they all work by the holy spirit but in their function they are different the gift of faith is a gift that's primarily in operation for protection deliverance or in provision we also see it in translation where a laborer of god a servant of god can be picked up and put somewhere else we're going to talk about that the recipient of this gift is not doing something he's receiving something god's special faith power coming perfect and doing it on our behalf that's god's faith the gifts of healings heal now before i get to miracles let me explain something in the bible because certain words are used in a generic general form right we get a little confused for example let's say someone in the service is back is hurting power god comes on them and they're healed and we say what a miracle right and we understand but it actually isn't a miracle it's a healing it's a gifts of healings god healed when it comes to miracles there's a specific gift called miracles and in the greek the word the the phrase for the gifts of miracles actually means the energy of god's miraculous power moving forward he said well brother eric explain that well yeah you ever hear of daniel in a lion's den do you ever hear us kill the lion daniel was receiving god's power not delivering him but protecting him there's a difference god's power lions could not touch him there was an angel and the presence of god's special faith was a barrier of power and daniel just relaxed samson going down the road sees a lion the power of god comes on him he doesn't receive protection he enacts that's the energy of the miraculous doing and he kills the lion both servants of god power of god but there were two different functions daniel received samson did and that's the best way to understand these gifts of spirit they're all power the gifts of healings heal the working of miracles do not heal why would you need the working of miracles to heal if the gifts of healings heal right if i'm an evangelist and you're a pastor why should i come be a pastor when you have a pastor the pastor does the pastor that makes sense the gifts of miracles the working of miracles are working of miracles let me give you an example jesus walking on the water to go to the disciples that's not the gift of faith that's the working of miracles it's not normal to walk on water it's also not normal to walk on wavy water but jesus was working in miracle now peter says oh lord if it's you command me to jesus says come so now peter gets out of the boat and he's walking looking at jesus in miracles but then when he begins to look at the wind and the waves what happens to him you know do you know he sinks jesus catches him and what does jesus say to him you of little what faith when it comes to the gifts of the holy spirit you are still required to use your faith the operation of these gifts is the power of the holy spirit but you and i still must be using our faith we say explain that a little better okay let me let me do it this way i've done a lot of work in india in the tea country first time i was in the tea country i'm driving and you see fields with trees and i say what's that over there oh brother that's tea oh that's tea green trees tea okay and then we get to the area where they're putting it in the barns and drying it it's brown say what's that but an egg that's tea wait a minute out there it was green you called it tea in there it's brown and you called it tea and then you sit down and they pour some drink and i said what's this but eric's tea i said wait a minute it was green it was brown and now it's a liquid but it's all tea when it comes to faith god is a faith god faith is what pleases god and there are four types of faith that we have access to the first one is that gift of salvation you're saved by what faith it's the grace of god grace through faith the second is the fruit of faith by reading your bible you begin to develop that fruit of faith in your life we're commanded as christians to be developing that aren't we read your bible develop your faith the third kind of faith comes like timothy timothy remember the faith in your grandmother and your mother and by association that faith got into you it's an impartation of faith and the fourth is this gift of special faith so what am i saying with all of these gifts of the holy spirit you still have to use the fruit of faith in order to you walk with the lord so that's why jesus said peter you were walking in miracles but where's your faith it's so so little well jesus i thought little faith can move mountains yes little faith can when it's pure but little faith can also be mixed with unbelief and it doesn't work so jesus picks him up and he's teaching us how to follow him so there are three gifts of power the gift of faith receives the power of god happening i told you in prague someone throws a brick that gift of faith around me stopped it and threw it down i did nothing now if i was under miracles i would have jumped up and grabbed the brick and threw it down like a basketball player dunking you know but that didn't happen i just received it done i was driving down the highway a truck passes me his hitch comes off bangs down the road pops up goes right through my window right at me and the power of god comes around me as it goes through my window cuts my steering wheel i catch it never felt it it hit me never felt it none of the glass went into my eyes never felt it i did nothing i received this done it protected me gift of faith gift of faith provision supernatural finances i could talk a lot about this gift god does it gift of miracles you and god do it let me give can i just talk about this a little more when jesus was in the boat sleeping it looked like the boat was going down but it wasn't was it jesus was operating in the gift of faith he said we're going to the other side good night and because he said it there's an operation of god's special faith that's taking them right through a storm the apostles couldn't understand it but because they were so scared they came jesus he gets up and he changes from the gift of faith now he enacts against the storm under miracles he changes the weather from one he's receiving protection in the next one he's changing the whole atmosphere through miracles he an acts against it it's not normal to change the weather did you know that that's the power of god say give me another example i'm glad you asked when daniel was in the lion's den and that angel was there he was protected from the lions but when the leaders of the land were thrown in that operation of power changed and came on the lions energizing them and those lions began to break every bone in the bodies before they touched the ground that's not normal either the power in that gift of the holy spirit can change into miracles daniel gift of faith lions was the supernatural energy of god empowering them to do something not normal and can you ever think about those soldiers that day guards looking down they never forgot the day daniel was in the lion's den not only daniel but they also never seen lions do that they went home that night and their wife said how was work and they said oh i got something to tell you i've never seen that in my life lions flying through the air and breaking every bone in people's bodies before they even touch that's power there's a difference in how that functions and paul is saying i want you to know this i want you to know what the word of wisdom is i want you to know what the word of knowledge is i want you to know the discerning of spirits i want you to know the gift of faith i want you to know the gifts of healings we didn't even get to that i want you to know the working of miracles three remaining gifts prophecy tongues interpretation of tongues according to first corinthians 14 3 these are speaking gifts that bring edification comfort and exhortation now when we talk about the gift of the holy spirit in the new testament called prophecy we get a little confused because the word prophecy sounds like prophet doesn't it so we think a prophet has prophecy but that's where you have to understand in the new testament there is the general term and then the specific definition in the new testament prophecy is a gift or a grace of the holy spirit that does three things it edifies it exhorts and it comforts we say explain that a little more because i thought prophets prophesy meaning any time a prophet speaks it's divine or it's divinely spoken and that's prophecy yes in a general sense we believe that and understand that but concerning the specific gift of the holy spirit called prophecy it is not a seeing gift like the word of wisdom it's not a knowledge gift but the word of knowledge it is not the discerning of spirits that sees into the spirit first corinthians 14 and verse 3 will you turn there please and this this is what's going to help you because there's a there's a lot of confusion because of the general terms and specific terms and that's why paul says don't be ignorant learn these things verse 3 he that prophesies he's talking about new testament prophecy speaks to men to edification exhortation and comfort every one of those characteristics are characteristics that build the human heart to edify do you like to be edified oh i do do you like to be exhorted oh i do do you like to be comforted we need that prophecy along with tongues and and interpretation of tongues are gifts of the holy spirit that build the human heart now obviously because of time you're going to have to read through this and you'll really go ah now i understand this and and if you haven't really spend time with these this might be new you're like wow i never heard that because we use such general terms and we lump everything into general but actually when we go slow and rightly divide what we're looking at then we have a better understanding should i call old testament prophecies prophecies why not there's nothing wrong with that but when we look at new testament gift of prophecy according to first corinthians 14 3 it edifies exhorts and it comforts and paul says in verse 1 follow after love desire spiritual gifts but rather that you may prophesy why because he that prophesies speaks to the church speaks to people to edify exhort and comfort them and paul wanted that more than anything that ministry of encouragement to the body of christ let me let me let's let's take a look at something i feel like the lord once if you turn in this little man to page 147 146 147 and if you look look on page 146 and take your pencil make this on the last paragraph it starts with the words an appropriate example you see that an appropriate example an appropriate example between the ministry of a prophet or a seer and the function of new testament prophecy which is exhortation comfort edification is in the life of paul in this example acts 21 paul is on route to jerusalem he's directed to detour to cesarea to the house of philip the evangelist philip had four daughters who prophesied they were not prophets but rather were used by the holy spirit to speak forth edification exhortation comfort into paul's life he was heading into the biggest storm of his life and the lord wanted to impart comfort and courage into his heart after these daughters were used to minister under this gift of prophecy then a prophet named agabus arrives and he begins through revelation or seeing gifts to tell paul what's going to happen to him in jerusalem paul's heart needed prophecy to strengthen him for what was coming on the other hand paul's natural understanding needed revelation from a prophet of god in short the word of wisdom revealed the future through a prophet while prophecy new testament prophecy imparted strength and comfort into paul preparing him to have victory in the midst of what was coming now let me explain this paul says i've got to go to jerusalem he knew that on his way he meets with some church members and they pray and these church members say paul not now do not go to jerusalem well i thought you said paul said i got to go to jerusalem and these guys are by the holy spirit saying no don't go to jerusalem it seems like contradiction we're talking about contradiction wasn't contradiction it was detour so paul goes over to chesseria he gets with philip and his house phillips daughters have this gift of new testament prophecy working in them they were not prophets prophets operate under revelation they see these girls young ladies were working under edification comfort and exhortation the holy spirit comes and they begin to prophesy and paul is receiving comfort of the holy spirit supernaturally by the lord god knew that paul was not ready for jerusalem paul didn't realize that paul's like i'm going to jerusalem i don't know what's going to happen there but i'm going to go to jerusalem and the lord is paul you're going to have to detour you're not ready i need to put something into your heart i need to put comfort and strength into you by my spirit so he gets into that house and those young girls minister and then there's a knock on the door and the bible says a prophet named agabus walks in agabus is not working under new testament prophecy he's working under a word of wisdom looking into the future understanding the direction of god spiritually and watch this paul when you get to jerusalem they're going to take you and they're going to bind you and he tells him everything that's going to happen now none of that was edifying paul's heart it was giving him understanding of what's coming what philip's daughters did edified his heart by the holy spirit so both seeing gifts and these edifying gifts are now working together through two different groups of people a prophet and just young ladies who are prophesied and the holy spirit is ministering to paul now this is what is very interesting about the word of wisdom watch this agabus after he sees what's going to happen as a prophet he joins the congregation and says paul don't go don't go paul go another place right that's why the word of god's wisdom is different than the wisdom for daily living agabus had the word of wisdom but did not understand it wisdom for daily living you understand it and you're able to live in it but this gift of the spirit that's able to see out you may not understand it you just have to trust it and go with it there's a difference so now paul is ready to go to jerusalem he says everybody that's okay i'm gonna give my life it's all right this is god's will even agabus didn't know that agabus only had one part of it that's all so you don't always trust everything a prophet says you trust what they see and then you follow god in your heart because prophets are men and they may not understand everything and that's why it's very important the word of god's wisdom when it's released you may not understand a lot but you receive it and trust it isaiah didn't understand a virgin's going to give birth he just felt good and said that's god he just saw it and he released it so the gifts of the holy spirit nine of them gifts that see gifts that do gifts that speak and utter fourth and paul said concerning all of these gifts earnestly desire prophecy i believe that he said that because he remembers the road to jerusalem he loved agaves but what he received through prophecy the edifying and the comfort he said i want all the churches to be comforted in the prophecy of god when my children were young and i would go on a trip when i came home my my wife would say eric when you're away the children don't sleep as peaceful but when you're home and they can hear your voice they sleep well because the voice of the father was in the house and the voice of the father carries authority even more so paul is saying in our churches i love that we speak in tongues but i would that are prophecy so that the voice of the father brings edification comfort and exhortation to the body during the persecution of saul and the jerusalem religious leaders the bible says the churches had comfort and they were multiplied they were edified and had comfort and they multiplied what brings edification and comfort well a lot of things but i tell you what this gift in operation is the greatest gift that in the midst of such persecution the voice of the father was strengthening and keeping the congregations this gift had to be in operation prophecy that's why it's so important so i'm saying there's generic terms prophecy and we use it and that's fine it's good but then there's the specific gift of new testament prophecy and it's edification comfort and exhortation according to the authority of god's word and paul said guys i want you to understand this when you understand it you begin to reach for it and have it and he wanted this in the church oh hallelujah is this challenging yeah i hope so we yes well while you're looking for it prophecy well i'll let you find it i'll let you ask i won't speak in your behalf but tongues is assigned to the unbeliever i think it's on the next page in my bible 22 22 now this is a very good question i'm going to divert and i'm going to speak about that because there's two gifts of the holy spirit i didn't talk about they're equal to prophecy they're called tongues they are two gifts that are added during this church age out of these nine gifts of the holy spirit seven of them are all manifested in the old testament in the church age all seven are there too and two more are added their tongues and the interpretation of tongues when you read first corinthians 14 i think the first thing you have to understand is two paul tongues our tongues just that's simple what do you mean do you have a sink at home a rock of right the sink yeah you turn the turn the water on the cold it's flowing but out of the same sink i can change and turn the hot on it's the same water except there's something different it's hot same sink same source when it comes to tongues and i'm going to get i'm going to lay a foundation jesus said in john 4 when you believe on me out of you are going to bubble up this living water but in john 7 he doesn't say that he says out from you is going to flow a river so we see two directions of our walk heavenward and earthwork and so in the new testament with this what we call the the healing of the tower of babel we have the holy spirit in tongues the blessing of abraham we receive this prayer language of tongues coming up to the lord but then because it's empowered by the holy spirit in us the lord is able to change the direction and then through the gift began to speak out to men as a sign and a wonder a testimony to the unbeliever if they're there and it's also to the church so what are you saying well let me give you an example i was in jacksonville with a group of newly immigrated russians ukrainians i didn't know they're ukrainians i thought they were russian and we're praying in the holy spirit and the presence of the lord was so wonderful but all of a sudden the power of god came on me and my tongue changed and now i knew i was speaking out i didn't know what i was saying but it was like the rakovina it was uncold it was going this way and then something went and now it's going that way that was the gift this gift of the spirit is god speaking to men as the spirit wills i didn't i didn't will that i was in fellowship but the lord said i'm going to change something all of a sudden i'm speaking and all of a sudden everybody praising god in russian and and little little lady she valentina she says eric beautiful do you know what you just said no i don't know what i said it felt good but i don't know what i said she said you spoke in perfect ukrainian to this couple right here the tears are coming down their eyes what happened edification and comfort through this gift of tongues and interpretation now the interpretation wasn't needed because the lord put it right in their language it's equal to prophecy if an unbeliever comes in and watch that it's a sign to them that what god did at babel god has reversed in this age i don't care what your natural mind thinks it's god god was there at babel he did it and what he's doing now is he's reversing it whether you like it or not he's reversing it so prophecy tongues and interpretation of tongues speak towards men god i believe added tongues and interpretation just because he's god and he can do it right we didn't make him he made us he likes to do what he wants to do why does the bumblebee fly with small wings he just does that but i think the other sign is just because it's a sign to the nations of babel i'm reversing my judgment through the gospel and this is a sign tongues and in an interpretation it's powerful it edifies it exhorts and it comforts now does that help you i know you're reading do you have another question yeah yeah i've been thinking lately too reading it all and studying it but in in first corinthians 14 it goes at home you have to read this because sometimes paul is talking about tongues this way and then sometimes he's talking about when god is speaking outward to men it's all tongues but one is prayer and one is god speaking out and guess what he can do that and he wants to do it he wants to use us in these things okay and they should be they should be in our houses of worship any other is it okay yasna is it helpful okay is yes yes exactly so yeah i think i understand what you're saying so what he's saying is tongues just in itself is a sign and there are times where unbelievers are in your you don't even know that and it's assigned to them but we don't go out to find unbelievers and say shikha though that's not what it is there's a proper operation of these things and that's why paul says there's order in the church but inside the church even though we pray in tongues and these things happen he says it has to be done with order there has to be an order of the lord and he says to these guys because i think they had a problem i think they were praying in tongues out of order and it was confusion and paul had to say listen i pray in tongues more than all of you so that's not the issue don't forbid tongues that's not the issue but in the church of god i so want there to be edification comfort and order not that quenches the holy spirit but releases him and so he begins to clarify these things and i think when when i look at this he says he says in in what you now brother and if i come to you speaking with tongues just speaking in tongues if i came up to you you have no idea what i'm saying it doesn't benefit you in fact you're like a foreigner right and that's what he's addressing so so don't do that that's what he's saying but in a service there are tongues in interpretation that come and usually there are those that the pastor or leader knows that these gifts actually are fluently operating and so that should be in fact this new testament church people would often come in with prophecies exhortations and the meetings were very different than our western meetings i have to be honest with you they weren't like this they were different and there was more interaction with the people and and and the lord in the people giving into the service and paul's saying these are good but there also has to be order okay and so every congregation has to figure out how that works in their environment okay um ask it one more time a little bit differently a sermon yes through the sermon preaching in the sermon yeah well well there's a lot of things the word of god always edifies doesn't it when you sit down and in the morning have your coffee you read the word there's nothing like the word of god nothing greater than the word of god it edifies when the apostles in acts 6 said we can't serve tables we have to what pray and we have to what minister the word they this was at the core of the church there had to be the preaching of the word of god that's the core there's nothing more powerful but in that worship experience paul is dealing with it that desire the spiritual gifts we want the gifts of the holy spirit operating even more so prophecy and i don't know if this is what you're asking the sermon is not the gift of prophecy of the holy spirit why because these gifts of the holy spirit come as the spirit wills the pastor prepares the sermon as in a prayerful way but it's not coming boom as the holy spirit wills for example i was ministering last two sundays ago and um and and as i was preaching i hit a law i hit a pause and then the holy spirit came and switched it and all of a sudden i was speaking under prophecy exhortation and it was coming with a different power because it wasn't me it was coming fresh right from the lord into that specific congregation that was the gift this gift but for a pastor to maybe in the office praying putting together a sermon using his natural intellect out of his love for the lord knowing the needs of the people we had some sexual sin i need to put this word together and put a doctrine together against sexual now will that edify the people yes it will but it is not this this comes not from this part it comes boom here by the holy spirit and it also kind of shows hey you're in charge we're ready to yield to you but if you're not moving like that we're going to preach this word we're going to declare this word we're going to establish the doctrine of this word amen because this word is the most important but that's a very good question that's a great question these gifts of the holy spirit come as the spirit wills not as the pastor wills or the prophet or the evangelist he waits he prepares and of his communion with the lord and as he steps into that pulpit sometimes the holy spirit says now i'm going to work for a minute and the and the minister yields maybe it's a tongue maybe it's interpretation maybe it's gifts of healings okay but it's a little bit different yeah because your sermon came from your preparation with the lord that's different okay okay yes yeah once again there is the prayer language up to god but then god sometimes wants to speak out he can do it by prophecy like the daughters of philip or he can use tongues with another gift called interpretation of tongues the interpretation of tongues can't come until there's a tongue right you can't have interpretation of tongues without a tongue first that makes sense so that is a specific gift that can operate and i agree with you tongues can interpretation of tongues if it doesn't have tongues with it it's just prophecy well are for well i'm going to answer it like this because i'm going to say yes but i'm going to dif i'm going to make it a little more clear our prayer tongues to god like paul says i pray in tongues more than all of you that wasn't the gift of the holy spirit that was just his prayer language right but but this is what paul says if there's no interpreter then keep silent keep silent keep to yourself so it is possible in a service to have that kind of a little bit of an unction but maybe someone decides they're not going to interpret there's just a lot of different little things that can happen because maybe maybe they got scared that's your personal prayer language yes yes yes that's right well i see now i understand what you're saying i'm going to say the interpret tongues in this sense will not operate without the holy spirit also having the interpretation because both of them operate as the spirit wills so the holy spirit isn't going to go i'm going to i'm going to give him the gift of tongues he's going to speak out but i'm not going to give anyone the interpretation he won't do that he'll just give prophecy so that it edifies the people those two that gift those two work together when you're talking about speaking out into the congregation so my point was is it possible for someone to give a tongue and then the person who has the interpretation decides not to do it the spirit of a prophet or spirit of a person the gift is subject to their deciding did jonah disobey god yeah can someone who has the interpretation disobey god yeah we do it all the time we disobey god a lot more than we realize i tell you one let me let me say this i remember the first time god used me in prophecy i went down because in the church we were at if you felt you had the prophetic word or tongue interpretation you would come down like this and then pastor when it was right would hand the mic but he would look at you first he was discerning and then he would hand the mic and then you would give the word i remember one time oh i didn't go the first time and boy i felt terrible inside because i had received something from the lord and i didn't go and i learned from it i learned from it next time better to go and get it out okay let's take a break is this making you think it's supposed to do that yeah i you know there's the day of pentecost 120 people were all doing this and that was appropriate that was that was fine for that right there was a sign to it too yeah this is meant to challenge you and the church has to figure out how they go forward never quenching the holy spirit but figuring out what is the divine order so that these things prosper and we have order it's not about closing off so we have order and that happens more we don't want it so we can have order and that's completely wrong just don't [Music] so you can be forgiven okay okay [Music] so you can be forgiven so he died on the screen to put the logo on it back to it as we see the on the screen as a sen here i am lord send me we will have a last session and then we'll prepare ourselves for a prayer on the end we're gonna have we will have a worship we have a good uh good uh good song for that uh it should be prepared right so brother eric as the last session as you wish we would like we can welcome to the praise and worship we have a special uh so you feel that way then may god bless you thank you we started with the baptism of the holy spirit then we went to the gifts of the holy spirit truly it was the manifestation of the holy spirit that gave the church breakthrough in going forward but now let's take a look at persecution page 199 if the world hates you know it hated me before it hated you john 15 18. john 15 20 remember the word i said the servants not greater than his lord if they persecuted me they will also persecute you so jesus never was hiding from these disciples that persecution is real he knew what was coming let's read i'm sure that there were times in jesus ministry that he remembered back to bethlehem to the vivid reality of satan satan's hatred for his life there in his birth town thousands of little boys were slaughtered at the hand of herod's government in hopes of destroying him jesus was always aware of the hatred the world had for him jesus warned his disciples that it would be the same for them through his death and resurrection jesus has empowered his church to trample on the works of darkness with such authority jesus never gave power to trample man they were commanded to love the world as he did persecution comes when men yield or open doors in their mind to thinking to demonic powers which seek to control humanity in the book of acts there are 31 examples of persecution these persecutions range from religious leaders to government leaders business leaders as you read through these accounts stop and think about each one and do in doing so you will discover that there's a strength in christianity that's more than able to handle the hatred of the devil and wicked men as you study these references i pray that the lord will impart new fervency into your spirit to strengthen your faith in christ in these perilous days if christians 2000 years ago prevailed through such turbulent times so shall we two thousand years later let's look at persecution on page 200 you have all the references you can just pick which one you want and go to but in page 201 the first persecution they laid hands on them and put them in jail until the next day for it was now even evening in this first account of persecution the apostles felt the aggression of hands grabbing them they never experienced this while jesus was with them now that jesus is at the right hand of god they were learning to depend on the holy spirit the same way jesus had the word jesus spoke i will never leave you or forsake you must have been rising in their hearts as they were being thrown into jail for the night peter and john had experienced such an outpouring of god on the day of pentecost with signs and wonders along with thousands of men and women coming into the kingdom of god and now sitting in a dirty cell they were sobered by jesus's words they hated me they're going to hate you this is an interesting one on the day of pentecost the glory of god comes 3 000 people come into the kingdom the devil is nowhere there's no opposition no persecution i personally think the devil was hiding i think jesus had so bruised satan's head at the cross and resurrection that he had stayed totally back not knowing what is going on from heaven to earth then the bible says that the lord was adding to the church daily such as should be saved still no persecution then by the time you get to acts 3 the crippled man is healed we talk about that in here and let me say this do you remember when jesus says what's easier to say to the man be forgiven or to say pick up your bed and walk you remember that he was establishing his authority to forgive wasn't he now with the newborn church jesus in heaven now it's his body now he's establishing this again on the steps of the temple that jesus christ has authority to forgive sins rise up and be healed the crowd is running how did this happen and the man's like oh praise god and he's dancing right all of a sudden the devil realizes if i don't start opposing this i'm going to lose everything and so we see the first persecution they come they grab their arms and then they're in jail for the night not knowing what's going to happen and i just kind of think we love miracles we love to people see people saved but i think as they were in the jail that night there's something about persecution that causes a man to choose to deeply love jesus or to back away it's a purifier jesus doesn't send persecution that's the devil but there's just something holy about it that when it happens jesus said you'll be blessed and when he talks about the blessing it is a spiritual empowerment from heaven we're going to talk about that so there they are in jail hi john hello peter what's gonna happen to us i do know first persecution number two the first threat so we had hands we had jail now it's a threat oh threats are different i can grab you oh i don't like that i can put you in jail i don't like that but now it's a threat now threat carries a spirit of fear in a different way hands grabbing oh that's kind of jail that's one thing but a threat releases the spirit of fear to get you to back away first threat when they had when they so when they had further threatened them they let them go finding nothing of how they might punish them because of the people for all men glorified the lord threats you can read all this later think about threats have you ever had threats i've had threats i've had hands i've not had jail number three this is the second account of assault in jail so now it's going to be hands in jail again they laid their hands on the apostles and put them in the common prison once again hands are laid upon the apostles and they are thrown into jail for a second time there's a clear frustration growing in the religious community in jerusalem also up until this time the religious leaders had only persecuted the apostles leaving the individual members of the congregation alone so therefore right now persecution is focused on apostles not on the congregation okay hands grabbing jail threats against the leaders but not against the people let's see how this goes number four page 202. religious leaders beat the apostles this is the first beating for christ and to him they agreed and when they had called the apostles and beaten them they commanded that they should not speak in the name of jesus and let them go this is the first beating the apostles bodies were actually bruised for their love and obedience to christ peter and john at this point were growing into a deeper appreciation and love for jesus and all that he did at the cross the religious leaders clearly frustrated had ramped up their persecution because the apostles were not obeying their threats to stop preaching the resurrection coupled with a call to repentance the persistence of the apostles while walking in such tangible power brought great hatred and envy into the ranks of jerusalem's religious order these men now we didn't look at resurrection power you have to do that on your own these men were so possessed with the message of jesus is alive that they gave their lives to this when they were told stop preaching resurrection they said how can we stop preaching so the religious leaders are like okay wait a minute we've grabbed them didn't work we put them in prison didn't work we've threatened them don't do this or we're gonna didn't work so we grabbed them and put them in prison again didn't work number five the first perjury or bribery meaning i'm gonna pay you money you're going to lie about somebody this is the first time in church history acts 6 9 the bribe men said we've heard you speak blasphemous words against moses and against god they stirred up the people the elders and the scribes that came upon him and caught him brought him to the councils and set up false witnesses which said this man ceases not to speak blasphemous words against his holy place in law we've heard him say that jesus of nazareth shall destroy this place and shall change the customs which moses delivered all that sat in the council looking steadfastly on him saw his face as the face of an angel once again these religious leaders know they're not stopping so they decide to pay someone lie so by lying we can try and kill so this is the first perjury number six the first killing of a christian the first stoning they stoned stephen calling upon god saying lord jesus receive my spirit in this passage we see the first murder of a christian witness it's the first they realize they're not stopping the church and the only thing left was the tool of murder with this murder they revealed which god they really served the glory upon the church brought into the open how wicked jerusalem's religious hierarchy had become in mark 11 jesus cursed the fig tree as a prophetic act of what god was going to do to this dying fig tree of jewish religion in 80 70 this fig tree withered when titus leveled jerusalem and destroyed herod's temple scattering the jews to the ends of the earth what am i saying these religious leaders didn't realize jesus had already cursed that fig tree he already had cursed jewish religion it was a beautiful tree that had no fruit and so these men they missed their day of visitation and they don't realize while they're persecuting the church their day is coming in 1870 titus and the roman legions came in and leveled jerusalem and that was the end of jewish temple worship they were scattered and it was gone but here they think they're preserving their religion let's kill the christians because of this a great persecution now is released against the church the devil through these religious leaders and saul this is number seven finally realized we know how to stop the church kill him put him in prison and we will stop these people did it no because god's life was on the church it wasn't on jewish temple worship anymore that was coming to an end it was over when jesus went to that temple and overturned everything that was the end he was moving forward in the plan of god and they couldn't discern that number eight great persecution continues and saul breathing out threats and slaughter against the disciples of the lord went to the high priests in this passage we see insight into the spread of christianity christians were now everywhere even in foreign cities that's the point here saul said i need letters of permission now to go to a foreign country in order to take hold of what christians they were spreading they were going everywhere this this passage to me goes i mean it's so exciting to see that the church it was just growing they were doing everything they could to stop it oh i want to go to canada because there's christians there and i want to arrest them that is really bad thinking but that's what saul was doing i want to go to go to to syria let's go to number nine jews in damascus conspired to kill paul after many days were fulfilled the jews took counsel to kill him saul was a pharisee of pharisees he had grown up at the feet of gamaliel in jerusalem and that gave him such status and prestige amongst his peers he'd always knows favor with the jewish religious circles probably because his own father was a pharisee now these jews in damascus were plotting his death for the first time in his life as a christian he feels what true hatred is in the sense of fearing for his life coming from those who were his colleagues paul now christian he now realizes what it feels like when people want to kill you that's a terrible feeling to feel that sense of death wanting to come for you this is his first experience realizing so he leaves damascus number 10 he comes to jerusalem i kind of wonder in paul's thinking if he thinks if i go to jerusalem i'll tell them my testimony and it will change everything you know we think that way don't we and the lord's like that's not going to happen you know if if they looked at jesus and refused to believe jesus i don't think looking at paul is going to change anything right so he gets to jerusalem and guess what they want to kill him so now he not only feels the threat of death in damascus he's in jerusalem his hometown and he goes they want to kill me too this is what he went through this was his life can you imagine that how would you like to go everywhere and know people want to kill you huh i didn't hear me too i don't want that you don't want that number 11 and then i'll just king herod kills james now about that time herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church and he killed james the brother john with the sword this is the first account of government killing a christian we've seen the jews the religious leaders now it's government when jesus said to his disciples he said i need you to beware of the leaven of the pharisees and the leaven of herod this right here shows you the ultimate manifestation of that leaven is to kill what god is doing it's murder because it leads you straight to the throne of satan who is a murderer so here the church began in the power of god they stayed in the power of god but they felt the hands they went to jail then they were threatened they felt the hands they went to jail then they were beaten they didn't stop then lied about murdered scattered they're not stopping the church has a power in it that's unshakable number 12 first persecution by witchcraft but elements the sorcerer for his name by interpretation he withstood them now this man is a man of darkness he withstood them seeking to turn the deputy away from the faith now the bible says don't give place to the devil ephesians satan is always looking for a place with government authority if government can open the door for darkness to come in then satan through their authority can oppress the land when the gospel came in in the power of god all of a sudden there's a contending the witch has a place he doesn't want to lose and paul is coming in with the power of god the deputy is like i want to hear this man but this witch is like i want to turn the deputy from the gospel to darkness and it's a battle in fact this in fact when i read this and look at it the bible says that john mark ends up leaving paul and barnabas this warfare was very intense it did it didn't just happen for one hour i believe it happened for several days and i believe there was such demonic power that john little john mark says this is not for me and he leaves remember later on the second missionary journey barnabas says let's take mark and paul says absolutely not he departed wrong he left us immaturely and barnabas says well maybe he learned why don't we take him again and there was that's because this warfare was very intense have you ever come against witchcraft yeah and you have to break through it it is real and now we have the first example of witchcraft facing the gospel and gospel going right through it number 13 jews contend verbally speaking against when the jews saw the multitudes they were filled with envy and they spake against these things which were spoken by paul contradicting in blasphemy envy was at the root of joseph's persecution from his brothers envy was at the root of why religious leaders persecuted jesus now we see that envy is still an evil that hates everything that's good these men didn't hate paul truly they hated themselves despising their own salvation they didn't want to be saved i remember i was on cocoa beach and tell a story kind of change up here and um started witnessing to some people and finally after a while they went nuts because the presence of god and finally a girl screams and she starts running to everybody on the beach telling them don't listen don't listen to them don't let them you know she was speaking against us to everybody she could speaking against that's what they were doing they were going and speaking against next time i came to cocoa beach the very same spot a different person as i was witnessing they got up and screamed and they began to do the same thing i thought there's a devil here this is not normal well it happens right you and i have been together in miami when the presence of god came down but that's what happens it came down and she and the devil went up it happens number 14 citywide persecution the jews stirred up the devout and honorable women and the chief men of the city and they put them out of their coasts once again envy is at the root of the persecution the jewish religious zealot stirred up the city leaders the mayor and the city council to get them to persecute the apostles by expelling them out of the city out of the coast this is the first example of city government rising against the gov the gospel it's different think about it people that don't like you go to the city council and say you know we don't like that guy over there can you get rid of him and the city council comes to slavic full gospel and says you can't be here anymore you go to holiday that's what happened the first time we see that think about these every persecution how the devil was working to try to stop the gospel is this interesting are you tired don't be tired number 15. but the unbelieving jews stirred up the gentiles and made their minds evil affected against the brethren this is a battle for the minds satan blinds the minds of those that believe not the minds of the gentiles in this passage had already chosen not to believe thus allowing satan to come in and to keep them blind spiritual blindness is best described by pharaoh who watched the red sea open with water standing on both sides and after the water depart parted he then witnessed moses and the jews walk through on dry ground and yet pharaoh ordered his army in that is spiritual blindness these men chose to not believe it was a choice you cannot choose to unbelie not believe unless you know the truth and knowing what's true then you can make a decision that's the depth of this wickedness right here these gentiles for example were spiritually blinded through the hardness of their own heart they hardened their heart some people just don't know don't know they don't understand other people hear the truth they know it's truth and they decide i will not receive it that's different 16 jews and gentiles assault paul and when there was an assault made both of the gentiles and also to choose with their rulers to use them despitefully and to stone them persecution found in verse 2 moves from evil thinking to attempted murder so it went from bad thinking to now we're going to kill you once again paul's facing wanting to be killed it's wonderful isn't it number 17 acts 14 19 the jews stone paul there came the other jews from antioch iconium who persuaded the people having stoned paul drew him out of the city supposing that he had been dead what an emotional day paul had in fact lystra was probably a city he never forgot it was in lister that paul while preaching discerned faith in a crippled man's heart the gifts of healings came into operation and the man who never had walked began walking what joy it must have been to watch the miracle of healing unfold but now pagan leaders in the city want to worship paul and barnabas it took much convincing to prove we're not god's this is where the devil got into the details those men never had repented i want you to think about it they saw the miracle but they didn't repent in their hearts to receive the lord that's why they could go from wanting to worship paul to now wanting to stone him because there was never a repentance so they stoned him drug him out and uh ver number 18 gentiles and philip i beat and imprisoned paul and silas when the master saw their hopes of games were gone they caught paul and silas drew them into the marketplace to the rulers and brought them to the magistrate saying these men being jews to exceedingly trouble our city now that's very interesting the gospel troubles cities now think about that let's just slow down the gospel troubles cities and these people knew that the devil was so stirred up because this gospel is troubling our city i remember back when i was working in italy about three and a half years i worked every every every month pretty much i was going to italy and we were going into towns big cities small rome napoli small towns too and we were preaching on the streets with the cross the police left us alone that was a miracle and we would preach and the tracks would go out people would be stuck until they got attract and then they would walk away with the trap it was an operation of god that was coming down planting the gospel into people's lives i could be in one city and i could feel a spirit of fear from the next town i was going to buffeting me don't come here a sense of fear or maybe we shouldn't go to forly maybe we shouldn't go to bologna you could feel that fear trying to intimidate you until we went we showed up and we preached the gospel i remember flying over to italy one time we were heading to rome and in the airplane over the atlantic i could feel a fear coming against me don't come to rome he's just like you're just sitting there and all of a sudden you're feeling this fear if i go to rome maybe something bad is going to happen to me maybe i shouldn't go to rome rome is a dark city maybe we should go somewhere else maybe that would be good go somewhere else let's go to a nice small town and not roam because i'm afraid of rome over the atlantic i was feeling this opposition to me we went to rome in rome we preached the gospel police never touched us we started to preach right in the forum where old rome where the caesars lived we were preaching an old nero if he knew what was going on he'd be turning over in his grave i can't believe 2000 years later they're preaching the gospel in rome the gospel troubles cities i was working with a church in lithuania i was living in latvia and there was a new church happening in calnus lithuania countess is the old capital of lithuania vilnius is the new but vilnius is kind of a polish city it's a mixture of polish and lithuania but cowness is the old lithuanian capital it's dark i drove down from riga there was a team coming from vilnius and there was a team already in countless the first week first saturday preaching power of god came down checks are going out it's amazing the joy next saturday come back it's better my interpreter friend lithuanian guy he is on fire he he's translating as i'm preaching tracks are going out it was too easy i thought this is dark city and we're just coming in well the next week as i'm driving down i get to my host's house and calmness all the pastors in lithuania canceled it because there were some complaints and they don't want evangelism so you won't have a team you're backing away the gospel being preached will stir up demonic powers and they're going to look for someone they can get a hold of in order to oppose it if they can't stop you they're going to look for someone over you to hit them and by making them afraid they then will come in and control you and so i said to my host i've said okay but i am here and i'm still going to go right into the middle of countess and i'm going to preach whether you're with me or not it's either a testimony against a city or a testimony against you you decide because the gospel came and you either back down or you go out there with love defy the devil and love people that's what these apostles had to decide do we stand in the power of the gospel and lovingly move forward because there's going to be opposition the devil is going to make sure he's going to stop you that's his job he's been doing it a lot 2 000 years he's got a lot of history just remember you're new he's not there's been a whole lot of people just like you that he's worked against you're the new guy he has a lot of experience and now you're going to have to rise up and defy him and prove your calling that you are the man of god that god has declared so i went out and preached my interpreter he was kind of stuck in between what did we do what did we do but when he started translating it broke off of him and he was having fun wow this is great a small team wasn't like before but you know what we did it we love this town it had the gospel preached in the middle of it for three weekends i don't know how much evangelism happened after that there will be opposition frustrated the city oh but we want a nice church we're nice people you know we're nice really nice people would like to come to our church because it's nice this church frustrated things not to frustrate they just preached the gospel they walked in love the love of god it's different we have to decide what we're going to do amen i'm going to i'm going to pray i know it's been a long day and we barely got into this today my prayer is that you'll take the book of acts and start to really think about what those people went through in order to carry the gospel starting in jerusalem planting it into rome so that from rome the gospel could go out to the ends of the earth and today you and i are chapter 29. what's it give it and so we have to decide what kind of story are you gonna have you're gonna have an exciting story right yes let's pray why don't you stand up heavenly father we come to you so for those who will attune their ears to what i'm saying in this hour for those who will have ears to hear says the spirit of the lord i shall begin to increase i shall begin to impart wisdom and power for the days that you live in for these days are short says the lord i am coming but there is yet works and things to be done for my glory is moving in the earth and my glory is moving in those who will be valiant in this time oh yes there are those who are backing down there are those who are under the weight and the cares even as i said in my word but then there are those who are setting their life aside excuse me you must turn that off i'm speaking under the holy spirit and there are those who are setting themselves aside in order to serve me in order to be pleasing unto me to be found worthy of me and as they set aside i shall begin to equip them i shall begin to pour my grace upon them and they shall be equipped says the lord so even now rise up in my spirit rise up in things that you're hearing says god for i shall be speaking into your inner ear the ear where your faith begins to rise and you shall go forward and you shall shine and you shall turn many unto oh hallelujah unto salvation oh hallelujah oh father right now let your anointing come upon my friends let your glory come i pray that there's a divine awakening happening i pray a deeper work happening in my friends in this church i pray that there would be a deeper work happening not a slavic work not an american work but a work of the church that they would not see themselves as slavic or as american or by a cultural denomination but they would see themselves set apart unto the anointing of the lord a place of prayer a place of power a place of love a place of the gospel i pray for the missionary endeavors that with clarity there would come assignments and finances and gifts of the holy spirit gifts of the holy spirit i pray i pray vasily as he heads back to pastor pastor may i pray for you will you come and stand right here i would just right now just just stand here i'm gonna pray father in jesus name as my brother
