worship and we will continue in prayer the word of God is telling us that you should be entering into his gates with Thanksgiving because when Israel was going they were worshiping Lord with with those special songs of worship with different groups of people yeah while once we go into one gate and others would come out of the others therefore I'd like to invite all of us and the word of God is telling us that we would approach the The Throne of Mercy is stuff we know the truth and mercy came through Jesus Christ and when Jesus Christ now is now with the Heavenly Father in Heaven this Throne is called The Throne of mercy and grace and the word of God is telling us come to this place come to this with confidence through the blood of Jesus Christ in order for us to receive Grace and and help let's come to him in prayer before the Lord let's open up a heart open up our mouth call upon his name and glorify him Hallelujah glory be to you Lord Heavenly Father loving Lord [Music] his Prayer let's be attentive to what God Lord wants to say to every one of us today I have a sermon but on the subject of our situation is and most of us I think praying and fasting to our God just like we have an agreement and I would like to talk about in on this subject is and I would like to name my sermon the fast which lord loves your sport because not every kind of fast God loves is and in order for for the Lord to say Here I Am when we called upon his name our fast has to be pleasing to the Lord yeah and I think every one of us wants to hear when we fasting and praying for the Lord to say Here I Am who would like to day two three days 40 days not to eat and at the end God did not hear at the end God didn't even say here I am nothing is at the end we didn't get close to God that's why I would like to speak on this subject I would like to preach from the book of Isaiah chapter 58. but I would like to start with what is fast um at first the fast is just abstaining from food the person dedicates themselves to the Lord and abstains from Foods the person abstains from the most important thing to for person for people to live from food and drink because the person has a need before the Lord and even more I want to say post it is to be to fasting as as it is pleasing to the to God is nothing it's impossible if you don't know God yeah if you're not close to God you're never going to be able to fast to plead the Lord because the most important thing in in fact that's when we get close to the Lord when our spirit connects to the God's spiritual that's what the the fast that which the Lord likes but United States and otherwise we're gonna fast day two days three days at the end it's gonna be just hunger I would like to compare fast to the musician which Tunes the strings of the Guitar Center there is it happens that the guitar is untuned because of the cold or hot or different other reasons in our Christian Life it's also the same sometimes it's a good time sometimes bad times and and our spiritual being gets untuned say posthumous and then when we pray and fast is we seek the Lord and we get close to him [Music] otherwise it's going to be just our Fest is going to be just hunger or tradition or it's it's not going to do any good then the boskip and the fast has one more additional meaning a colonies before fast was in only in One Direction before the people fasted because they had a need before the Lord but today you go into the doctor if doctor recommends and the doctor recommends you to fast in order for you to get healthier about it but it's necessary to have a goal when we fast we have to clearly understand why do we fast but United States because some people say if I'm not gonna receive anything from The Lord At least I'll I'll get thinner maybe not the best but it's not the idea that we want you to reach being Christians present the show peace because in in God's word we find different kind of fast we have we see the correct fastness and we find also incorrect families still is a wrong motivation the wrong goals but they fasted the right thing is let's remind ourselves the First Kings 21 9 it talks about a king ahabel and as Jezebel yes who proclaimed a fast if you remember this story King Ahab wanted a great uh graveyard field of grapes for from uh I told him I cannot sell it to you because it's inheritance of my parents [Music] but the king said oh I want it because it's it's very close to my Palace and I really want this this Vineyard foreign she asked why do you so are you so sad and Jezebel wanted to help him she proclaimed fast and she found false Witnesses who testified against NABA that he the Lord they fasted because of incorrect reasons they found uh untrue witnesses to unlawfully witnessed against their brother and during their fasting they killed him so then moment and one more moment from the book of Acts we know how they're supposed to judge Apostle Paul says they're found they were found 40 Jews this word because we're not gonna eat or drink until we kill Paul he sticks from this to those two stories we can see there is different kind of fast there is a according to the will of God and this according to the people's will the person wants something even apostate and he and he or she fast it's very often the the people manipulate God they want to uh get God on their side they say I'm picking a fast day two three or forty days in order to get God on their side there is the the game uh to pull the the Rope the few people are here on the one side a few people on the other side everyone to their own side who who can win brother and sister we're never gonna pull God we can we're not going to be able to manipulate God is you confess one three days 40 days and die from Hunger but you're not gonna pull God on your side you can only and the correct fast is in other words it's a strengthened prayer neither Memorial we pray every day morning evening during the day and we ask God please bless and protect us and there is a needs in our in our life that we add fast to our prayers we pray for a long time and we don't don't receive the answer and we strengthen our prayer with fasting but when we fast but do not pray it's in a Year peace it's not a fast it's just a hunger peace fast without prayer it's just a hunger you pray and add fast to the prayer that's the fast that God wants the fast doesn't doesn't have a power to save the person if peace the fast cannot forgive sins for the people no problem but the correct fast helps us in our prayer the first helps us when we repentance that's why the fast has to be according to the will of God and truly God pays attention to the fastest I want us to understand it and remember and the god pays attention to the correct fast when the child of God fasting according to the will of God is to point our attention to the priest Ezra I wanted to open up a book of Ezra Ezra 821 a 21. they had a need before the Lord foreign foreign when they came back to Jerusalem from captivity Ezra told the king that we have a mighty God that can protect us there's a chance how strong is our God but when you meet the situation [Applause] and head to head with the situation our hands are trembling sometimes our knees start trembling our heads and we don't know what to do it yes and Ezra didn't go with his suitcase by himself to Jerusalem but he had people behind him and treasure and they had uh stuff with them even showing home and he perfectly understood when he comes head to head with the enemies the most religious it's a busy he can remain without anything and even lose his life and he started to worry how's it going to be and he had two choices could come back to the king I said key please give me their uh soldiers and and horses but he he thought I cannot tell him that because we were bragging for our Lord is so strong how can I now beg for protection what does he do foreign so we fasted and petitioned our God about this and he answered our prayer we cannot pull God to our side one day or two days we cannot change God's will to our will many colonies we cannot force God to think like we think but as we read they humble themselves and They begged the Lord what does he do and God LED them to let himself to be convinced verse 1 through the prophet Isaiah to the people of Israel it he says tell them uh and it's not only only tells them but shout it out loud and do not hold back Raise Your Voice like a trump and declare to my people their rebellion and to the descendants of Jacob their sins for the day after day they seek me out they seem eager to know my ways as if they were a nation that does what is right and has not forsaken the Commandments of his of his God they ask me for just decisions and seem eager to to for God to come near them he blames the Israel because they they seem like people who lives righteous before the Lord is but it's not only a problem of the Jew nation of Israel but it's also the problem of all the people right we also can think as though we are Christians do you see the difference to be a believer or us to seem like a Believers to live according to the gods of the God's Commandments or just pretend to live according to according to God's Commandments truly to want to to get to know the will of Lord or just pretend to to want to get to know the will of Lord the Lord Jesus the god rebukes the nation of Israel as just because they pretend to seek uh his will and we're going to read verse three times start their prayer towards the Lord rebuking the Lord and I can I can tell you the people who do not have a correct relationships they will rebuke the Lord they were going to have objections to the Lord and why have you fasted they say and you have not seen it why have we humbled ourselves and you have not noticed the person if he does not receive what he wants proteins and he they gonna have objections to the Lord and say God how long should I fast and pray no it's not a problem because like like you know the problems of nation of Israel also pertains to the problems of all the people because we read in verse 3 of them yet on the day of your fasting you do as you please and exploit all your workers can you imagine people are pretend to seek the will of the Lord and they pray they do not eat and they um their body is suffering as though they want to know the will of God for their lives but God says in the day of your fasting you do your own will of the universe in the day of your fasting you exploit you oppress the other people the world your workers foreign ends in quarreling and strife and in Striking each other with Wicked fists the person is fasting why the person is fasting to the Lord to for the Lord to open up his will for them but during their fasting they quarreling pictures during their fasting that they unmerciful hands the face they hit each other maybe we don't hit like physical hands but we can with our tongue we can no less hate our neighbor it's in the day of fasting and God opens up the secret of their hearts we posted fast only to to end in quarrel and and arguing yeah very often during our fast we want to do for our will to be fulfilled and we have Strife in make Strife in the among God's people a chance to then how often during our fasting we become unapproachable people unapproachable or even evil people to the people who wants to other people a lot more than they can give no it says he's understandable we are hungry we want to eat but God looks at different ways [Music] other people you can yell at them but the verse 6 it says what kind of fast do I like images foreign I have chosen to lose the chains of unjustice and untie the courts of the Yoke to set the oppressed free and break every yoke so maybe responders it is not it is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor Wanderer with the shelter when you see the naked to clothe them and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood then the properly peace there is a correct fast the fact that God accepts peace fast through which we can uh convinced God said Peace the first is when the person dedicates themselves to the Lord and to the other people peace it's not that we seek our something for ourselves but when we close the the naked and we feed the hungry a day of fasting when we forgive me the daily when we make peace it's a day that we seek relationship with among each other and with God today it's a day that we let go of any kind of offense is that is in our hearts is a peace what kind of fast is this when I'm fasting at the same time my neighbor is crying because of my hand or because of my words shoot as a piece what kind of fast is that somebody is crying because of my hand or my word that's not the kind of fast that God wants it's a day of fasting we have to live like like that every day not just during the fastest what happens after let's open up verse 8. then your light will break from Break Forth like the Dawn and your healing will will quickly appearance and your your wounds will be healed quickly and one of the Ukrainian translation it says that your wound will be covered with skin um we know how how to have open wound your your meat is visible and it hurts and it burns and it's very dangerous because microbes can get in and when the uh fast correctly when we get getting closer to this when we serve our neighbors that's when the all the wounds could be among the between the people will be covered the skin and I am talking about spirituals that's when the healing comes into the church into to the family is and then verse 9 says the following as the whole losses yeah then you will call and the Lord will answer you will cry for help and he will say Here I Am they always want to for the Lord to say here I am but God not every time God says here I am God wants us to repair our relationship with him and with our neighbors he works with us are we gonna pray right now I want to say one more thought you know the meaning of the fast in Hebrew to cover your mouth raise your hands understandable you cover your mouth with your hand and you cannot eat but I want to add to the is understanding one more thing probably peace the correct fast said not only put your hand against your mouth but on your lips also on your ears in order for us in the day of fasting not to gossip against one another unverified information let's put our hands on our lips and not going to participate if somebody will come to your house and will they'll start to talk against one or the other information do not receive that information right to get together with that person who they're talking about straighten the information over the pastor yeah who is responsible before the Lord and in any kind of situation is the church do not be participate in unfruitful Deeds because I want God to bless us our families he would be with us in our church and he would be glorified kneel down before the Lord and pray prayers foreign [Music] he got closer to you [Music] so we could let go those who uh offended us so we wouldn't be selfish in the day of fasting is we wouldn't live for ourselves take a cross and follow you just like you said yeah ask you Lord please bless this service that your word do the work in our hearts so you could be glorified in our families in our families in the House of Prayer I mean glory to you in the name of Jesus Amen thank you let's be not only attentive listeners let's be doers of what the spirit tells to our churches when we become doers then that's we will have blessing praise the Lord I want to make an announcement today we have a special service after this service we're gonna have a service in a nursing home 6 PM you're going to have a youth service and Monday at 7 30 we're going to have a prayer and especially we pray for Ukraine Wednesday also we have a service at 7 30. on Sundays we have a 10 30 we start with a prayer in that room over there and uh 11 o'clock start of the service this month we have a month of prayer and fasting for the church you can put on on the screen is election of the pastor the new pastor um and this prayer is fasting as uh much as everybody is able will be until the August 18th uh and also I want to say that August 20th we have we will have a members meeting and our Bishops will be with us and the doors of our church is open from five o'clock in the morning until eight dollars and responsible for this ministry is brother Peter that's all the announcements Swami verse 16. this is and do not Ukraine no it's not a short term you know what situation there you know what's going on but inside of my heart I felt and I still do and with my spiritual ears I'm able to hear this this this this voice of this Macedonian come and help us I have just about 10 minutes there's a lot to share with you but because of lack of time I will not be able to oh um [Music] I would like to remind that God is sending inviting all of us to do good God is good he said come to me learn from me therefore today if we learn from him we will not be closing our eyes on people or situations that are in need these days I'd like to read a few passages Ephesians 2 10. which is I apologize Timothy 2 14. Timothy 2 14. uh yeah I'm sorry Titus 214. yeah they gave himself to Deliver Us from all the evil doing but to prayer people that are chosen ones that are eager for good works 3-1 it will be ready for good works [Music] and those that I know how to do good and could not do that we know what the consequences are yes I know that your church you know participates a lot in different programs then you donate a lot to Ukraine uh praise be to our Lord for all of you foreign you know today we are especially uniting on this topic America just like in Ukraine and also all Islamic people here in the United States Buddha you know remember that it's not going to be like that all the time but until we have this opportunity until we have and see the need and we understand that we need help and have the ability to do so let's do that you know at the end of August or at the beginning of September yes I'm planning to go and visit Ukrainian again last time I was able to Ministry with the help of the prayer brothers and sisters and for helping and be participating in 16 different very serious needs I would like to show a few pictures for you there I'm not going to share holidays I would like to share just a couple of words about each family or each person here on the pictures while we were exiting finishing what we were doing uh this lady that we see on the picture they have a very interesting story I would call her a very brave woman yes a woman that is full of faith in 2006 her and her husband this is they said Lord if you save the life of our babies we will be ministering and accepting children and they started to do that and then later another two marriages having seven children on their own [Music] passed away because of cancer they people would encourage you and tell her stop doing helping these shoes and she would continue to adopt little children she has children seven children or her own biological and she also adopted another age so now she has 15 children of course they live in this Countryside I would call this journey to this place is very if uh joyous one imagine it's 19 miles we would travel almost an hour this distance she has four children she's been six for over 36 for over 30 years at this time she cannot move on her own at all you can see in her Twisted hands to serve his wife for over 30 years and be there at her by her side this history we see me yeah her husband he was a volunteer obvious products he was delivering food to the front lines was ambushed and he got killed and he was burned oh they were able to identify him by his dentist and now she is obviously in need of place to stay [Music] um there's a seven that children that are not uh adults yet thank you this is in a Riven or blessed is this fam This Woman's husband was traveling with another volunteer in a previous picture they were also participating by bringing food to the front lines her husband got injured foreign and he was able with his injury to travel for another 100 miles because if he were to stop uh right there on the spot you would surely die there is and she is left with six children it's been about a year past since she's continued to morning for her husband because her family her children he also added opportunity to them Warrior his family is from the city of those parents and 12 children I never been in a smaller room as there's just a few rooms is bunk beds in each one of them I do not know how they're able to fit in there but they love Lord with all of their heart and I would ask him how you managed to do that you know what he said praise be with our Lord Boomer yeah sovereign house outside the city but it needs a lot of work um we didn't have finances or resources to do any we continue to to support this family we also support the following family that has 19 children this is one mother they might be expecting under 20 at one no it's not no um speechless can't say much the journey is also a very interesting one foreign yes with the base of local Bishop everybody went to this family where they have nine children there was a big Regional uh service in our village and the mother of this family just got sick during service she went to go into Kama you should have and after a week she just she passed away at times and they also have this name is I only mentioned a few of these families we support them I was able to meet this chaplain in riveness he was a brought in Christie he ministers the the soldiers then the front lines he said that just in the city of riverness they have about 200 widows that as a result of this war um and I said if God gives us an opportunity to come back so we would like to participate I would like at the end I would like to invite you all to support us in prayer the work and the journey is not easy yes stepped into this decade of my life and I still feel like I still can do something for the Lord it is the one brother he said this phrase it's better to be send it down than being rusted problems that's why with the help of others we try to do something hot um for you to support us if your heart is open the families that we supported thank you for your time Dominican Republic it's mentioned we will have a collection for Dominican Republic and yes yeah yes when we do our um yes when we forget it if the Dominican Republic the brothers will be going to the Dominican 10 people from our church mainly youth my family myself my children my sisters children my parents they are going to be coming on Wednesday from Thailand stopping here just for one day we all be traveling to Dominican Republic also waiting for sister Liana for her to receive the passport so she can go with us brother of Walters Northport and if she's coming on Cornelia might join us as well so we asked you pray for us the reason for our work about a little over a year ago me and brother Peter we went to Dominican Republic Dominican Republic with some of our youth together there is this church that was planted there in Dominican Republic of Dominican Republic and our goal to go there right now is to support this church that is growing we'll be doing a kids camp for them Street Ministry and ministering them directly in the churches we will be going there for four days Wednesday through Sunday and we all pay for our expenses when it comes to living our tickets it's covered by each person individually um the only thing that we need help with and we need you support is to support the camp the the team over there the food for the children and Etc is [Music] everything that we put is it doesn't go away unnoticed it is now I would like to share the word of God with you Swami let's open up the word of God that is written in the First Kings chapter 3 verse 5. chapter 3 verse 5 and it says at giving the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream and God said ask whatever you want to for me to give you um and now open up this is going to be verse 9 through 12 it says and it says to give you servant Discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong for who is able to govern these great people of yours is in verse 10 it says the Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked this is so God said to him since you have asked for this and not for long life oh well for yourself nor have asked for that of your enemies but for discernment and administering Justice is I will do what you have asked I will give you a wisely Discerning heart so there will be never been anyone like you nor will there ever be what yes and now let's finish with verse 13. and it says moreover I will give you what you have not asked for both wealth and honor so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among Kings is we know this story about solomona just like brother Oleg mentioned we would like for God to hear us and we see that God is talking to solomonium and he says ask me something yeah and I'm sure that Solomon was thinking what to ask I'm sure many thoughts were flying through his head but the Solomon said I would like to have an understanding heart yeah and I want to be able to discern between a good and evil and here's what he says in verse 13. and it says I have also given you what you have not asked the YouTube this is the topic of my sermon today I give you because you did not ask yeah I give you because you did not ask yeah you know in the New Testament Jesus is saying but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness if besides and what will happen and everything else will be given to you and in Colossians we read it says set your mind on things that are above and another translation it says seek first the things that have of above you know what's interesting that for you and me every single day Bible says there is a kingdom of God is the things there is a things on this Earth there's wishes there is the things that we maybe need on a daily basis but the word of God is inviting us and says for seek the right things and it says yes it is the decision that you and me we need to make it says seek or make a decision and from the story of Solomon is the story of salamona it is so important that you and me that we choose the right things [Music] we see that he had many different things he could have choose from but he chose those two things to have a wise heart Discerning heart is to discern what is evil what is this and Bible says that God was pleased with that he replied and he says because you did not ask but but because you did not ask for riches in your life because you did not ask for other things in your life I will give you that yeah I will give you because you did not ask them but what you did ask with the right things you know this this story tells you and me brother and sisters it is so important to have the right priorities I remember when in my job I was offered a position it was a very good position they will give me a very big race I was all excited I just needed to accept the acceptance they say you know what we talked about this one schedule but now you're going to be need to work on Sundays I was like yeah like so tempting I so wanted this job so much more money but I have to work on Sundays to be honest I didn't think much I said there's no way I'm gonna skip church so I rejected the offer yeah my brother-in-law calls me uh in law he says I heard you rejected this job and I said the reason why I'm calling you if you preaching the God God has bless you God is going to bless you how many times in our life we don't do the right priorities we choose those things just like Solomon he had options no but no he is making the right one and what is the result blessing in his life blessing in his life sometimes we Chase those blessings in our lives but this is where it is when he had the right priorities when you maybe show up to church when you sacrifice certain things God has given you both it was another story let's open up it's going to be second Samuel verse chapter 6 verse 9. and nobody is the peace enough foreign David was afraid of the Lord that day and said how can the Ark of the Lord ever come to me is and in verse 10 and 11. he was not willing to take the Ark of the Lord to be with him in the city of David instead he took it to the house over a dome and the greedy giddy in is and in verse 11 we read yeah the Ark of the Lord remained in the house Lord blessed him in his entire household yes we know what happened that David put in the Ark of the Covenant on this chariotics and when the share it was tilt in the men by the name of uza he wanted to to to to secure it and Bible says that God struck him dead and this is what it says it says that David was afraid to bring the Ark of the Covenant it was yes but there was this one man his name was and he brought this into his house he was not scared he says I will open my house I will give an opportunity to bring the Ark of the Covenant into my house God blessed his house
