grace and mercy guide us lead us speak to us and let us let us do exactly as you will for us in this service god i pray that you help the the worship team god so that they can lead us into into your us father god even though we are not worthy father god yes lord we just thank you hallelujah you know last week um this semester i've been teaching sunday school uh first time first of all it's hard to come up with the lesson uh every two weeks because you know that the kids they need a certain kind of lesson i teach the oldest class so they're already about to be transitioning into the youth class and uh so one lesson i thought of last week i spoke about the prodigal son has everyone everyone knows the story of the prodigal son and so i i went through the whole story with them and we started breaking down what was the what happened to each son and we know the first son he left his dad took and then he started working for a gentile your natural robotics and i explained to them that in that time as a jew working for a gentile that was absurd and what happens whenever the son finally changes his heart decides he says i will go back and i will ask my father that he will accept me as a servant but whenever he cut whenever he's walking back what happens the father is already waiting there and the magnitude of the story is we don't know how long the sun was away it's not a miracle that the father got lucky on that day to catch this song the father's arms are open every single day and all that the father wants it is for us to make that step back to him and isn't that just amazing so we're going to sing the next next song but i just wanted to share that because it's just been weighing on my heart and when i was telling my students this story is when i was telling the students the story they were like we don't understand it doesn't make sense how is it that the like the technically the sons are equals at the end of the day what happens both of the sons are in the father's house is and we are lucky that we are in the father's house today it's not our we don't get rewards for being christian but we are blessed to be christians so as we're going to be singing ago i went to my grandparents house for my grandpa's birthday [Music] and you know it was like a big celebration because it's my grandpa's birthday you know he turned 70 i think yeah yeah and like a day before the party that's impressive everyone most of my relatives are in the house and i'm sitting there wondering what to do yes i'm doing and they had this like old radio on there and i'm looking at it i started messing around with it you know it was like a little entertaining to me i turned it on [Music] he's like why are you messing with it grandpa and grandma have a set on their radio stations what kind of frequency that my grandparents had that radio on okay they set the radio up to help them it breaks the frequency you know and one thing i notice is that like when you're switching between the channels there's like a static noise to the scripture in uh matthew 6 24 you don't have to bring it up but it was about the two masters 6 24 24 it's going to help me to translate you know no one can serve two masters and always whenever i remember when i was in sunday school and you know i would be like well what if it's not like necessarily bad [Music] and you know i noticed that as soon as i would change that and i wouldn't listen to bad and what i notice is that as you're listening to music you know the good thing about listening good music do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs that it may benefit those who listen nikoi you know obviously listening to bad music may not affect more of like the older people here yes yeah but one thing that i thought for the older generation was to be role models for the young people s and you know one thing i've always thought of yeah when i was like in sunday school i always thought if king solomon was the wisest man did where it says he was wise in his own affairs in other people's affairs so helping other people but for building up his own household but then i thought to myself that a wise man knows to listen to advisers and obviously if you're a wise man you would listen to people around you so i wanted to open up proverbs 12 15. preachers the way of fools seems right to them but the wise listen to advice it's always easy as like a young person to think that you know more than most of those nice boys to think like oh i'm older now i can have my own thoughts i can do my own [Music] and another verse two verses i want to read from proverbs isn't isha is preaching proverbs 16 verses 20 and 23. global it says whoever gives he to instruction prospers and is blessed and blessed is the one who trusts in the lord and then 23 says the hearts of the wise make their mouths prudent and their lips promote instructions [Music] and this verse in the proverbs proverbs 16 23. you know it says that the lips of a wise man promote instructions [Music] and one thing i've noticed is that there's like a small difference between advice and instruction like you can give some advice to do something and if they don't do it then you know but instructions are like directions it's like throughout instruction is always thought for to be the bible but one thing i noticed is that most of the advice that a christian gives version is based on instruction from the bible and that's why i just want to say that the bible is the basis for christian advice and not only is it good to have advisors around you and to be in the presence of people who are generally christian but it's also to be able to listen not actually because one thing i've learned is that listening is a skill solution you know when i will when i like just started working in the sound booth any media there would definitely be days where i was a little bit tired on wednesday i wouldn't be as focused [Music] and i would sit there and as the preacher is preaching i'd kind of like doze off get a little tired but as soon as the preacher would say and we will be reading from that the head would shoot up and i'd start yeah make sure that they get the verse you know there are times when you like where you know sometimes you someone will say something you know our parents will be like oh there's a and it says do you have eyes but failed to hear and ears but fail to hear and evolution and don't you remember anypony mighty only for me and uh jesus goes on to talk about the miracles he's done in the next few verses because he noticed that the disciples they would watch the things they would hear the things that he's doing and they're in the presence of one of the greatest advisers of some of and you know another thing i was talking about selective hearing um there was this uh thing i call spiritual selective hearing solution it's the listening to god when you want to talk when it's oh i wanted to read from proverbs 3 verses 5 and 6. and then it says submit in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight this is like one of like my biggest memory verses in sunday school and you know his wisdom is so much greater than ours is to kind of get the contacts and i really liked after that in proverbs 3 the two verses [Music] the first thing i thought to myself is that does i don't think that talks about our own bodies i think it talks about our spiritual bodies how important it is to not like focus on yourself and uh as i conclude uh i want to call us to prayer to find these advisors is thank you thank you thank you jesus lord i thank you for this time you've called us all here thank you jesus lord we thank you for bringing us all here lord and lord i ask that you would bring us the good advisors to a good council lord that you will be able to be in our lives and guide us yes that you would help us to find advice lord to give us wisdom lord that we will be able to walk lord on this earth but in spirit lord that all of our actions are for you lord god for your will lord that we would be able to have this wisdom lord wisdom that our actions would be able to guide others to you lord to be able to edify others lord [Music] if we were able to trust in you lord that we knock you if you'll be able to not fall to the lord on this earth or god that no one's plans of god knowing moving our dialogue that they want to be able to throw us off your signal lord that we only will be able to throw ask that you would be a role model in our lives lord that you'll be able to continue to be this to bring this wisdom into our lives with god that you'll be able to bring us to you lord god that you would be able to share us in your will or god that you have to show us your plans for us lord god that you'll be able to keep us with good counsel lord god that you're able to bring us to edify others with god and i thank you for this time of god and i pray that you would help us to continue to strive to search to be in your presence jesus name i pray amen i mean reminder today we have a youth service at six o'clock we will have a special prayer for you young people church are you ready to pray and bless our youth say main theme for that for that prayer continues to be ukraine we invite you to join us in fasting as well it is you know usually when something happens people saw on fire right at the beginning but as soon as time goes by you know that goes away reminder on wednesday 7 30 we have a youth service the family is here we have a guest this coming wednesday because by the name of pavel rindic so we invite you to join us on sunday at 7 30 we have a prayer in the conference room of conference the community that is especially important to those that take part in the services and everyone is also invited to join us it will be very nice for us as a church to have a you know sunday we don't have an evening service we just have one service on sunday and i think it's very important for us to dedicate as much possible time out of that day to glorify and to worship again i will really my the way i see this is to bring that prayer from the conference room into this conference sunday actually starts not at 11 o'clock but at 10 30. let's work on that start joining there and the more people come more here in [Music] reminder the next sunday on march 27 we will have a missionary service christina and as always we have two collections for our missionary department also if you can put it up on the screen for us on monday march 28th we will have hated what's it created evening we will not have a prayer on monday we will start a little early a little earlier 30 minutes at 7 00 pm you know many of you know sister natalia because she is a poet no he is yes we have a ukraine fund in our church so if you have family members uh you know co-workers in the neighborhood sub you can take that little uh brochure and give it to your neighbor whoever maybe you're somebody been asking you how i can participate how i can donate it's your articulation so i also have a digital to a conference and we want to go to more and in order to do this and we actually have uh we went evangelizing yesterday a couple of us i would like the guys that came if you guys could come forward the boys that were with us in the pictures jacob if you could the video in the pictures pictures yesterday we went to the sponge docs it was actually tony's idea for for i want to say multiple weeks he's been bothering me when are you going to go eventually you know i tell them stories about when i speak to people and you know yeah and i kept saying yes okay we will go we will go and he just you know he was very persistent and we decided usually we do tracks and we did bring tracks but this time we took a much more spontaneous approach to it and we ran into multiple people and i'll i'll let peter as the missionary department head ask us some questions about the country you could just go to your neighbor's house the local city and you could just evangelize there because everyone needs to know the word of god that's a good that's great question to you what was like the most amazing or the coolest thing that you experienced yesterday so there's one guy he was on a boat and then he was like yeah i know god is the only one and then he's like and then mentioned jesus he's like there's only one person and it's god did not kept mentioning so it's like he just basically like and all the other religions they must have it wrong all other religions are business but jesus is the way the truth and the life mohammed is the businessman so basically come back to sam so you think he was reconfirmed his belief yeah through your ministry guide is that what you're to say right that's what you said to me but i want them to hear it yeah i was like reconfirmed kevin you're the tallest one good things you're on that side some some events just blessings blessings god bless you so what you are what's your experience what do you want to say one thing i noticed is uh before we talked to that one guy on the boat yes there was this one guy talking to him i didn't like him and he was like man i want to go on a fishing trip can you go take me on a fishing trip tomorrow and the other guy's like super greek and he can't like speak english like i want to talk always the guy left but as soon as we started walking back to our cars we saw him again and you know i started talking to him and we started like noticing that he also was like he was first of all like noticed that we were there before he almost felt a presence that was something was calling us and it was just like an amazing experience and i want to point out with this guy his name was nick tony i actually i didn't even i didn't felt i didn't feel called to pray for nick specifically with business but he you know he would need to go to a church business and so this was you know in short our experience evangelizing and it's a part of you know what we would like support for you but you're gonna and to close off before eliana sings a song i would like to just play the short video um he yeah a desire to seek the truth father god and i pray that you just speak into his life speak into his heart and allow him to experience you here on this earth father god let your kingdom be in him and let you move in the power in the spirit in jesus name yesterday [Music] my heart is [Music] you take me [Music] i ask you song eliana is saying doesn't wrap up my word today almost word for word what i had planned to share with you today with your holy spirit to speak to us all today in this place father god i pray as i am a vessel being used by you lord god to deliver your word to all of us here present today father god i ask that your your grace your mercy your love let it rest in me father god and let me be that vessel to deliver that truth to you to all of us present lord god that your gospel be made known that your kingdom may be present in this place and your holy spirit lead every word that i speak and everything that i say and that we may experience truly your love your glory and your grace and mercy in its fullness in jesus name i pray amen you may take your seats as always i will begin with a short story story there was a person that ended up falling into a well or a ditch very for a very very long time this this person was trying to crawl out of this well out of this ditch they saw the light at the top you know with their own hands and and feet climbing trying to you know figure out a way out you know pulling out the rocks on the wall and the dirt and trying to make it higher so they can make it all the way up for so long attempting everything possible to make their way out of this darkness is and the person says please help me i cannot help myself and so this man out of his grace and mercy towards that person pulled out pulled him out of the ditch and so the man was ever so grateful and thankful to him and so he said can you please just be with me and help and help me so i don't you know get get stuck again unfortunately i have to go but i can send someone that can help you and guide you and so he leaves and shortly thereafter a man comes and he said i will guide you i will lead you and i will teach you all things and so oftentimes just just like we came to christ [Music] and at one moment we cried out for help those of us that are believers and so everything is nice and easy where to go what to do just like kiwi said this man was on the right frequency and so at one point he's like you know what i gotta figure it out i wrote down all the information on paper you know i got out all figure i got i got all of it in my backpack thank you for your help and so he said thank you for your help you can go i'm going to go on my way on my journey and so you know the night comes and he's trying to figure out what you know where am i supposed to go what am i supposed to do pulls out his you know stuff starts to read tried to figure out he's walking and yet he you know gets into quicksand and just can't can't get out of he's you know he's with as he's sinking slowly he's trying to figure out you know what did i do wrong what you know did i take the wrong turn what's happening and it wasn't until he was neck deep that he just went up and cried and said hey please help and we know because this is very common in our lives and then we begin to rely on our own self-righteousness until we cry out for that grace again saying his grace is sufficient for me yeah and we understand if we don't want to get lost or hurt or stuck we must follow that guide the holy spirit you know the rules the guidelines the law god intended those to be written in our hearts now there is no imagination and the spirit is the one that through grace empowers us to do says or do you not know brethren for i speak to those that know the law that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives he's asking for the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives but if a husband dies she is released from the law to her from the law of her husband so then if her husband lives she marries another man she is called an adulteress but if the husband dies she is free from the law so she is no long no she is not an adulteress though she has married another man therefore brethren you have also become dead to the law through the body of christ that you may be married to another to him who has been raised from the dead that we should bear fruit to god for when we were in the flesh the sinful passions were aroused by the law we're at work in our members to bear fruit to death but now we have been delivered from the law having died to what we were held by so that we would serve in the newness of the spirit and not in the oldness of the letter and so we see here i mean i read this and a lot of us would say well you know we don't live by the law you know we know jesus died for us we know that you know it's by his grace we are saved you know we only do all these you know good things because we want to please him we want him to be happy with us in a way we want to prove our christianity to him that we truly have but only when that regeneration doesn't actually happen internally [Music] we can we can manifest it outwardly but then we evaluate ourselves our lives and we're like but we're still struggling internally [Music] and so we questioned it was his grace not sufficient for us and so a lot of us as believers we're willing to accept saving grace in other words the empowering grace is the answer to the problem of living after salvation by the law it'll it'll empower us to live and fulfill the law by the spirit through faith and just to kind of give us a visual of of how you know we as people are if we try to live by the law yes when moses was given the ten commandments he comes down from the mountain and as soon as he came down he threw the tablets and they all broke up and unfortunately we as people we are we are just as quick to break that law as those people were at that time [Music] therefore the gift of righteousness is a gift it cannot be it cannot be acted out you came hold on let me see john chapter 1 verse 17. john chapter 1 verse 17. it says for the law was given through moses but grace and truth came through the name of jesus christ and so if you notice in this verse it says you know the law was given by moses but grace and truth was given by jesus christ but it emphasizes that grace in truth and why it's important to note that is because it's through grace by faith we are able to fulfill that truth for example jesus said to the pharisees you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free and these men were they knew the law very well they were very very well established in in the way of god at that time so how dare said jesus say oh you if only you knew the truth if only you knew the truth then it would set you free yes they knew the truth but that wasn't the case because he knew that he was the truth but that by through grace we would be able to fulfill the law you know it's interesting that the truth is the gospel of grace what i mean by that is when god gave the law when moses came from mount sinai but when god gave the spirit on the day of the pentecost three thousand people were saved by his grace jesus after what he did on the cross in 2nd corinthians chapter 3 verse 6 it says who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant after the cross not of the letter but of the spirit for the letter kills but the spirit gives life and so we see confirmation from scripture for everything that is being spoken about and these next points i'm going to make are from romans 5. i won't read through all verses but just take note of that it's written in there that by one man's disobedience we are sinners and that by one man's obedience we are righteous when adam sinned we have become sinners whether we like it or not but it is through christ's obedience that we have become righteous through faith in other words we are sinners it's it's it's not that we are sinners because we sin but but we we sin because we are sinners so when you fail or fall when you fail or fall you are still righteous you should be problem just like when you are a sinner when you are right you are still a sinner where when you do right you're still a sinner thank so and we know this truth is it says the apostle paul says when the righteous falls if he gets up that's what makes him righteous the apostle paul it's about looking up and saying help me i need to get up and so and so we see that righteousness is clearly what in the song that eliana mentioned she she says as well is that i cry out to the lord for help so your turn in reverence towards him in repentance that's what's going to bring out that righteousness in you know so it's it's it's that you you if you are in him then righteousness is in you have to be okay so how did the holy son of god become sin at the cross yeah christos and he said that jesus did no sin did no christos [Music] he acted out no sin apostle paul is a man of intellect and he said that jesus knew no sin in his mind and john a man of the heart said there was no sin in him so how come you and i can be righteous without being righteous because you receive his righteousness through what he did on the cross when he was on the cross put to death god didn't just because he wanted to turn away from him and send his wrath on him it is because of what you and i did before we're going to do and we will continue to do this and the lord was treated as if he was sinned so that god could treat you and i like a beloved child let me state that again the lord do bad and you but for some reason based on romans 5 the law of the spirit is that you can receive good you didn't deserve grace [Music] just like just like the man the person at the bottom of the well they were trying with all their efforts no matter how hard they tried what they did it wasn't until the savior came that they got out the beginning of time and now what's even more interesting is what makes us think that now that we're believers what makes us think we can undo what the son of god did on the cross you cannot undo what was done in other words we are righteous because of one man's obedience and once we know that like know it is it will enable us to produce the fruits of right standing before him but we cannot work for that a lot of times we as believers think oh we start off with grace but in law that's where the maturity is only a child would believe that you can be a christian 10 years and still need [Music] if we're honest with ourselves we don't need to raise hands but we can look at our lives and say we need god's grace today christianity his grace is an everlasting flow so not because we haven't done something right or haven't figured something out here's a simple example once a lot of times we'll be like oh if only i did this or if only christ did on the cross and through his obedience and our faith in that that will empower us to overcome sin and be the fruitful christian that we were called to be it is by love knowing that you are loved that you will be able to receive his grace [Music] the disciple peter always said i love i love jesus yes i love you know he was always so emotional with it it says that john was the disciple that jesus loved it was because peter was about i i i i but who was at the cross of jesus resting on what the son of god was doing at the cross when the other had forsaken him including peter therefore it is not trying to love god please god do everything you can in your power that will enable you to be a fruitful christian is you know when a young couple they they date and and the the let's say the guy he you know he wants to please his you know the woman that he would like to marry hello make sure that he's on his best behavior he's dressed right he's acting right make sure that there's nothing that he will do that will offend her so and he will not feel loved because that's not who he is so if he were to go as he is to her yes and often times we are like this with god but i just want to do everything i can to please him so that his favor would be on me and then when we fall short or fail regardless of who we are the bible says outside of him our righteousness is of filthy rags christ is a filthy [Music] the problem is in us self-righteousness trying to get closer to god with our own efforts apostle paul talks a lot about obedience through faith obedience through faith you might wonder what is obedience through faith you know we know obedience to the laws the commands to the ministers to to obey certain things and i will try to make an example of this i wasn't intending to use this but i'll try my best for example you can read the bible and read many many things and all of that would be just you would retain it as intelligence you just understand it and be like oh that's good i'm going to try to live there but when you abide in christ and in the spirit of god true transformation regeneration sanctification in whatever area it is that the spirit is worse whatever inner work the spirit is doing in your life our pastor nicholas shared an example he shared one time uh two couple weeks ago and he was saying that they decided to pray for a whole week that the group of brothers are going to pray for a certain amount of time for the whole week he was being honest he said you know the first day it was easy you know just he did it because he tried but then at the very end he was like man i'm just like forcing myself into this and so that's the difference between obedience through faith and obedience to the command or to the law through faith and so if the holy spirit empowers you to pray for an hour a week uh every day of the week if you're struggling with a sin and you try to with your own efforts overcome it and you're using every teaching on youtube everything you read in the bible every sermon you heard at church if it's not backed or supported by your relationship with the holy spirit through faith in jesus christ by grace it is worthless that would be as if you tell the guy to go i got and so it isn't until we're dying and we're helpless that we go wait maybe i do need his help we see this cycle in our lives where we're like oh we're going and then you know we're not quite there and we're going i mean i can personally admit i have not arrived i have i do not know everything i do not know that all the answers my righteousness is not enough it is not until i am glorified with christ jesus in heaven that that time will come yesterday but while i am here it is my duty through obedience to through faith to do the will of god and bear good fruit here on this earth and understanding that i am helpless i am worthless i am a nobody and i am in need of his grace even today christos i believe i know me myself i need a clearer deeper revelation of the love of god every day i live with my wife my son is knew how deeply and rest in that work that he had done on the cross that would empower us to be the believers that we dreamed to be the bible says that there is no condemnation for those who are in christ jesus christ there is no condemnation for those who are in christ the law condemns the best thank god that right after that it says and so grace abounds even more. and so grace saves the worst of us you know where where where am i in my life as a christian i want to experience your love that even though i messed up i'm not worth i'm not worth i'm not worthy of it [Music] but you will save me all it is or maybe we are in the place where we think we're not a good enough christian we're fighting and battling we're trying to crawl our way out of that hole but for us to ask him to know the love that he has for us so that we would want that guy to be with us every moment one step ahead of us every single waking moment of our life when we sleep is you know that through his power that we may truly experience god's loves for each of us individually and that we would understand and realize that the pointless fighting for our own righteousness is meaningless and we must accept what he did on the cross for us and let that empower us that empowering grace bring us into the place he has called us each and every one of us regardless of who we are are called to the cross of he loves us more than we could ever imagine he adores us he treasures us and it has nothing to do with how good we are how hard to walk and that [Music] father god we stand here before you jesus we treasure we adore you father god we thank you for sending your son jesus christ on the cross to die for our sins hallelujah hallelujah he has done what we think is does not make sense it is illogical it goes against the logic of man but we thank you father god that your son out of his love for each one of us individually came and shed his body and blood for us you have called us and you have redeemed us and you say we have been justified hallelujah and therefore i declare the church justified and we are your people called for your purpose to do your will god and let us rest in the finished work on the cross and let us truly let that through the grace that has been displayed there to empower us to be effective fruit-bearing christians for the kingdom of god for your church lord lord jesus so that we would experience your love for us and so that we would take that love and let others experience your love through us father god i pray i ask if you guys can whoever's listening in the church if you could put your hand over your heart i don't typically do this but i would like to just pray after me we could just do it in english father god it's the best i am your beloved child i am your son and daughter but i received the love that you have displayed towards me [Music] i rest in your grace and mercy that was displayed on the cross yeah paul you supposedly and be amen i am you know it was it wasn't easy to translate but to also receive the truth but just in two words i would like to touch up on some things maybe we didn't understand but just a couple details you know oftentimes we think we sin because of our sin because we're sinners but the truth is that we do sin because of our sinful nature because we are sinners do you understand the difference i am a sinner not because i did sin so regardless of the good that i do i am a sinner that is in need of the grace of god the sacrifice of jesus christ and the only way to approach the kingdom of god is through jesus if we you know put in more effort that would make us righteous i realized myself that if we rely on christ and you know you're so old and how were you able to you know be clean and righteous in your life because i was always humble before the lord and i was always reliant on him yes i humbled myself and a glorified god let god help us brothers and we will enter into the kingdom of god and we will say it is this is not just the future generation but it is a part of the church of christ it is the body of christ today we put into them and then we listen to them from them what god has speaking to us and uh as it is written i need to decrease and he must increase and may the lord bless you whoever has thanksgiving or needs you may sure blessings for vacation travel to the lord foreign foreign foreign don't don't buy things that are not necessary do not buy from for which money you do not have [Music] and when he was traveling he was wounded and died and now he has six kids that are without a father and therefore there are many of these situations to be and stand and bear with those that are in this night you know our our uh our church is serving through in warsaw through our brother vasily yeah protest and now we pray and send finances and support what they're doing may god bless you
